If you're waiting for the crash to end, you're doing it wrong. Pop a couple of blue inspirations and go back to attacking.

My bots/storm couldn't reliably run x8 before level 38/Lightning Storm (a knockback that works even when mezzed), while my plant/storm was running x8 starting around level 26/Carrion Creepers (and could probably have done it at level 10/Steamy Mist).

Quite fast, actually. Bunch 'em up, debuff their resistance with Freezing Rain, then call down Ice Storm and Blizzard. All three powers can go well over the 16-target cap if you're facing mostly minions: when one minion is defeated, another minion will replace him as the 16th target on the next damage tick, and all three powers have a lot of ticks.

Quote:Is there somewhere to download it from that doesn't require a login?Just download the Enemies and Zones Master Chart from VidiotMaps, freshly updated with all things Praetorian.
-
No announcement, just an observation that some high-end opponents (mostly Praetorian types) have a base 64% to-hit, making the softcap against them 59%.

Here's my contact list. The arc from Montague Wossname is a minor arc, while the one from Madeleine Casey is a major arc.

Quote:It's probably because of how the aggro cap works. The Nictus ambush is pure bosses and don't have defense debuffs, so they'll crowd out the defense-debuffing Roman LTs and minions. You won't be facing strong defense debuffs, your defense will be intact, and all that negative damage simply won't be hitting. In a bizarre incident, the rest of the team went down (Scrapper-heavy, aggro-stealing team) in defeat during the huge ambush of Dark Novas and stuff when freeing the Oracle...but my Tanker stood up to it and at one point was fighting everything solo, defense debuffers and negative-energy enemies combined. I was pretty surprised and I'm not sure why she did so well there. I don't remeber much pressure to hit my heal although I think I did top off a few times.

There's a very easy way to tell them apart: For a major arc, the spine of the book icon is lined up with the left edge of the progress bar. For a minor arc, the left edge of the book icon is lined up with the left edge of the progress bar.

Quote:Your rig doesn't matter. You'll get lag at that point in the ITF on a million-dollar supercompting gaming rig, and you'll get it on a seven-year-old laptop. It's not your computer that's the problem. The problem is that the combination of enemies, powers, and the map leave the CoH server temporarily overloaded. The problem here is not everyone can afford to spend the kind of money that you've obviously spent on your system. I have a very nice rig but I don't have the video card or the internet connection that you have. I'm running a GTX 260 with Windows 7 64-bit, 6gb ram, quad core, liquid cooling system, IP 12mbps down 6mbps up. I don't think anyone would argue the point that my system is an extremely good rig but it is nowhere near as good as yours. I have these problems on a very good rig and the point is that I shouldn't.

Your log doesn't show enough to tell what's happening. You need to include every attack from the last hit onward.
-
Only if you're playing at less than top potential. My bots/traps is second only to my kin/ice defender in terms of busyness: I'm always taunting/immobilizing/directing my bots to a new target/toe bombing with Trip Mine/renewing Acid Mortar/etc. It's rare for me to have fewer than two powers I want to use right now.

The blue patch is a sphere. If you stay more than the patch's width above the ground, the rest of the team will be fine.

Quote:I just re-tested with one additional power:It's likely that toggles are in "brackets" so even if the actual end cost varies they're still in one "medium speed" bracket for the comet spinning. Like the vague descriptions on how fast something recharges.
Combat Jumping (0.07 end/sec) spins at the same speed as Fly (1 end/sec), Assault (0.39 end/sec), and so on, but now, Group Fly (2 end/sec) spins faster than the rest, at slightly more than a 3:2 ratio. -
My testing:
Sprint, Hover, Fly, Group Fly, the Leadership toggles, the GvE jump pack, Temp Invulnerability from the Energy Mastery pool, Hurricane, and Steamy Mist all spin at the same speed.
The Pocket D porter and the Mission teleporter spin faster.
Freezing Rain and Tornado spin even faster. -
My redside characters:
Light grey/powder blue
Navy blue/gold
Purple/yellow (bright purple/yellow)
Not a speck of red or black among them. -
While updating the test client on Windows XP SP2, I got a dialog saying "NC Launcher Error" "Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt". When I moved the mouse over the "OK" button, I got this crash dialog:

The launcher hangs at "checking for updates" when run under Wine 1.3.14 on Linux.

I just tested this on my stone tank. Activated Granite and Whirlwind (it's not useless -- it's quite effective at making a granite tank look unbelievably silly) and spent some time farming the wall in Cimerora. It does very unpleasant things to your endurance bar, but you can attack just fine with it running.

Quote:At the tail end of Monkey Mania, rare salvage could often be had for 500k or less if you were patient.Rare Salvage prices stayed low for a month or so after the Market Merge. I was able to stock up on a little bit of everything between 0.5-1.5 mil. They eventually settled into the 3-4 mil range. They took a dip back to 2 mil during the AE Monkey Exploit, but have returned to the 3-4 mil.

Nothing "sneaky" about it. I needed to do some testing of a program on a busy computer, so I loaded up CoH (the patching process makes a good disk load) and ran a few missions.
