Major arcs have a cap. It used to be 3, I think it's either 5 or 7 now. Minor arcs do not count towards this limit, but there are a couple arcs (the RWZ ones for example) that are major arcs, but flagged as minor.
I've heard that minor arcs have a cap, but the number was so high (40 or so) that I can't imagine anyone actually hitting it.

Rod's right -- major arcs used to be capped at 2, then 3, and currently it's 5. Minor arcs have no discernable upper limit as far as anything I've ever seen anyone able to demonstrate. (And the colors are blue and green, by the way.)

Here's my contact list. The arc from Montague Wossname is a minor arc, while the one from Madeleine Casey is a major arc.
Katie and Zombie - Live, test, or beta? And are your windows/fonts adjusted at all?
