  1. I may not have the same problems as with your henchmen, but as a Traps/AR Defender, I'm not sure if all that I'm doing is falling under the "participation" bubble. I've done about 35-ish completed trials now. I've seen about a 50/50 split on Common and Uncommon reward tables, 1 Rare table, and 0 Very Rare.

That 1 Rare table I got was when I ended up tanking Marauder for about 20 seconds cause he wiped most of our melee members out with a lag saturated Nova Fist.

If what the Devs have currently makes it so certain powersets and AT's are at a disadvantage due to how rewards are factored, they need to scrap the entire idea, and bring in something better. Because from the heavily biased anecdotal data I've seen, there is a discrepancy.
  2. No, this isn't that, we know what we're saying.

The reticle/circle ISN'T moving when we move the mouse sometimes, and -especially- during the new trials, being worst in the BAF. That's an almost completely flat map, and the reticle does not move as I move my mouse from the power tray to where I wish to place it.

The only remedy I've found is either waiting several (upwards of ten) real world seconds waiting for that brief moment where the planets align to grant me the ability to place Ignite or Caltrops, or $deity help me, Seeker Drones....

    OR

Move my character, it seems to jostle the game into letting powers be dropped, sometimes.

But what happens is, unless the game is getting feedback on my mouse position, it won't let a power be placed, so not only do I have to work through what I expect is major server lag just getting the reticle in place, but I need to mass click it in there for the server to read it, as the mouse pointer is still lagging to the server.

I'm chalking it up to intense server lag, and have relegated myself to just getting used to it. But that doesn't mean we can't point it out as a problem.
  3. I am getting this -exact- same problem, and the batteries in my mouse are fine. This gets REALLY vexing playing my incarnate (Traps/Assault Rifle), as I have three patch powers that take at least 7-8 seconds real-time to fire off cause I'm busy trying to get the circle to actually move.
  4. I've come to terms with the new team window... it's not that terribad, at least IMO, but...

WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TO THE CHAT BOX!?!?!

I can understand stretching it to make room for "League" and "LFG", but on my screen there's more than a centimeter of blank space between tab "4" and the down arrow that collapses the window.

Thing is, I use that area. Before, the area between chat and power trays was filled with either my combat attributes, or my pets window. Where once, the chat box ended at the "o" in Tohit, it now slides into the numbers.

I'm afraid to log into my MM to see how much of their henchmen's health bars are covered by the chat box.

The ONLY reasons I can think of for why it's so much longer than before is either...

    • Bad design
    Or
    • Leaving room for more additions to the chat/team windows

I was on this team, and while I did not say those specific words (95% sure I didn't say underlings), I am the one you are paraphrasing.

I knew of you, from your posts on the forums, before I joined. And while your threads are in the average "new person just joining this game exclaiming how much they enjoy it" area, I joined knowing the team may fall apart or fail in some way. Lucky for me, a good friend also randomly joined your PuG, and after a few tries at getting into the mission (the door was randomly guarded by 28's for a level 22 mission just outside Potter's Field in Sharks'), we got in.

You said "wait" and I was overjoyed.

I thought perhaps you noticed you had a Forcefielder on the team (me) and wanted to ensure everyone got buffed before we started heading through the caves.

Alas, no. You used what looked like a keybind telling us to do what we -all- knew we were supposed to.

That was when "jerk1" quipped the first time.

Further in, we came upon a room known for splitting up teams, and while the main group moved along the wall, you stayed on the inside, and got hit by an ambush, or patrol, or some spawn I didn't see, though that last one is unlikely as they were in the area we came from.

And that, that's where things started to fall apart. With the resulting kick, I was flummoxed at how to help you. And I realized, I sorta didn't want to.

I think even you yourself has pointed this out, but CoH's community is kind, generous, and a pretty cool lot. But you did the social equivalent of going number 2 in the community pool after just moving into the neighborhood. At least in my book.

So I said my line, which was more along the lines of "when leading a team, show respect and you'll receive it back", than what you paraphrased in your OP. Normally I'd have a chat log for proof, but I don't turn it on when not Rping, and the way you lead the team meant very little of that was going to happen.

All in all, I think you should try just joining teams for a bit, or forming and passing the lead to another. Watch how others handle it for a while.
  6. Yep, that set didn't get all the new animations, just Zapp's.

Which was preeeetty odd/stupid. What, just because it's new it doesn't get the new animations? Was there lack of time to fit it into the schedule?
  7. Was able to ask for a security reset after missing the first one-time 24hour window one.**

This time I sent all but two of my serial codes (couldn't find the Animal pack code, and I bought an Architect Edition box to increase box sales), as well as my Unique Account ID, because thank gawd I never delete emails and have kept the same email account for 6 years now.

Less than an hour later I got another link to reset my security stuff, and it worked. I logged back out, and was able to get back in.... Then again, I stopped at 4 attempts to access my account the other day, so my IP wasn't blocked.

I'm glad to see NCSoft at least attempting to rectify this *tries to think of an appropriate word to call this and not get censored/banned and comes up with nothing*.... Though to be honest, I see very little they can do about the Vanguard Pack reward fiasco they will be having soon enough, outside of straight up giving it to every account that was active from the start date to the day the new security measures started.

Oh, and my account feels -soooooooo- much safer now!

    /endsarcasm

My password needed a number added to it, and my security questions would be known to all family and friends of mine, because I have -certainly- learned my lesson of putting fake/hard to remember answers for them.

And because I -have- to be a silver lining person, it is good to see the community, even after all of this, still retains its civility and general niceness.

**Edit to say that this was done completely by email, not once did I foolishly call support and pay money to fix their own *unable to properly name this due to forum rules*
  8. After sleeping on this, I've decided that if this is not resolved through minimal effort on my end, I will cancel my subscription to CoH.*

I'm sorry Paragon Studios, I love you guys, and pretty much every little thing you do. In my eyes, you lot are near perfect, and I picked the recurring payment method to show as such.

But NCSoft, this, this is bad. This is a horribly implemented plan. The vibe I get, from dealing with the support site, and reading the tales of my fellow subscribers, is that yes, you want to keep us safe. But in blocking out the hackers and identity thieves, you've locked out nearly everyone else too.

And after reading Av's latest post, it seems your decision is to hold fast to your plan of keeping us safe... even from ourselves.

As I said, I have a recurring payment plan. but if I am unable to access my OWN BILLING ACCOUNT to cancel or change how I pay MY MONEY, then I say good day, thank you for the years of wonder and enjoyment, and good bye....

    *edit*
Do note that minimal effort means not having to pay to call support to get this trainwreck fixed.
  9. Ditto on the "Heck if I remember my security question from 5+ years ago".

That was 5 years, 3 computers, and 1 house ago.

And I'm not sure I can even ask Support, cause all I think I'm getting is the EU version, there's no option for non-EU CoH on the list....

But it would be soooooooo bad.

    I wants it!!!!!!!!
  13. I can not think of a single QoL idea that I could get behind more than this.

As a bonus, maybe they can make memorized recipes not expanded as the default as well.
  14. Really, it depends on what proc is in there.

I know on my Elec Control Dom, I have two procs slotted in Jolting Chain; Explosive Strike: Chance for Smashing, and Force Feedback: Chance for +Recharge.

For Explosive, the proc damage has a chance to hit EVERY enemy that is hit in the chain.

But for the +Rech, it only procs on the first target. It may proc on the jumps, but as I am not the caster of -those- attacks, I would not see the benefit, even if it did. Or it may just allow one proc chance per cast of the power.

I know the "not the caster" bit is true for some powers and procs, as it is the reason slotting Call of the Sandman: Chance for Self Heal heals the pseudopet created by Static Field instead of me... a fact I do not like, but have not bugged because as far as I can tell, it is WAI.
  15. Pick up GvE, Wedding, and the Mac packs, which makes the CoH DVD bonus the only one I'm missing.

Yes, I bought Party before GvE... I am an odd person.
  16. My Elec/Elec Dom R4V3R has two of her 5 slots for "civvies".

One slot has a hood (arcane), the other no hood.

Both are the same colors, and I swap between them to show if she has her hoodie's hood up or not, which has no effect on powers or anything.

Oh, and I change the colors of the two slots -everyday- to show a change of clothing from the day before. I also swap between baggy pants, shorts, a plaid mini skirt, and Tucked in Pants with Sneakers-No socks to make baggy shorts.

Hello, my name is Justice Reaper, and I'm an Iconaholic.
  17. It's a nice idea, but putting it with Alignment Merits, which not all characters can get, makes it...

  18. Fusionette has locked herself inside her new car.

Hero: Help her work through her idiocy.

Vigilante: Shake your head and walk away.

Rogue: Break her window, and tell her you'll cart this "villain" off to the Zig for her. Sell it instead.

Villain: Laugh maniacally, your plan worked. A heroine's reputation has been eternally besmirched. Now to get this vehicle dropped off in some dead end warehouse so she won't be saved.
  19. The big question here is, how long have you been gone? Chances are if it was pre-CoV, you're running on pre-ED slotting.

That, or you've forgotten more than you thought about the game...
  20. Well of course my Scrappers fear to go where the Tankers are. The Tankers are back behind them holding one group for everyone to beat on while my whirling death machines are clearing half the map.

To go back there would be boring!

But I do know how you feel. I used to only be able to play Scrappers and Blasters. Now I'm known for my... Scrappers... and Blasters.... and my "Carnage in Cute Packages", which some people jokingly refer to as Defenders. Now they're soloing half the map too, or at least they would if people didn't keep following them...
  21. Welcome to Paragon... leave your sanity at the gate, you won't be needing it here.

I'm not quite sure what you won, but you most certainly won it.

Think I'm gonna have a smirk on my face all day...

No fire might cause area damage.

Use spray cleaner (I prefer Orange Glo) till it's choking on the fumes and drowing on the liquid. Makes for an easy clean up and pleasing scent of the affected area!

Why no, I am not a sadist... but anything that crawls in my general vicinity without my permission needs to die a slow, agonizing death.
