  1. Sooo heres the deal, I am nosing around the forums and saw that DOMS are good farmers? I have a few questions...

1)how do doms compare with a fire/kin? are they faster? safer? or not as good?

2)If they are better than a fire/kin, what is the ultimate farming build for a dom? fire/earth looks like it is packed full of AOE? fire/psi doesnt look bad, so could someone please help me as to what should i do?

3)If someone could post a build and help me understand how i would greatly appreciate it, im just looking for the ultimate farm build
  2. So all this time i have been playing scrappers because I love the feel of taking on the hardest of content all by myself when i start hearing about how ill/rad or cold controllers can take avs/gms out faster and more efficiently than pretty much anything else sooooo i did my research and I believe that Ill/cold is the way to go, it has much more -RES and if i enhance correctly i will have -500%regen up permanently!

Can someone please help me build an ULTIMATE av/gm/tf build to only SOLO the hardest of content by myself?? I dont want anyone on my team ever, i just want this character to be my soloer Money is no object, just help me with a build please
  3. Thank you so much Werner, i have never posted very much on the forums, but I have always valued what you have to say on anyones post, your so helpful and quick to reply thank you
  4. Hello everyone, my goal is to solo some of the more difficult AV's using the powerset combo of fire/fire and I have just a few questions/notes....

1)Im okay with using inspirations unlike most here on the scrapper forums, but I do not want to use temps, i plan on aiming for 20% DEF or 32.5 DEF to melee/ranged/aoe so that i can rely on purple inspirations to soft cap, heling flames for when i do get hit, and consume and conserve power to take care of my END issues.

2)I would like to be able to run what I believe would be the most damaging attack chain of GFS-->Incinerate-->cremate and throwing down burn every chance I get so that i can kill an AV quickly and efficiently, question here is how much recharge do i need to get an attack chain of that caliber?

3)In burn, how would the FURY of the Gladiator proc of -RES work? every tick, or once at the activation? or every few seconds? or does it work at all?

4)lastly my final question is why do more people not use this combo to take down av's? it seems on paper to be JAM PACKED with DMG?

Thank you to all who reply
  5. Hello everyone, I have made this character before all the way to level 40 something, but it was on another account and I want to remake him.

if someone could help me with a build, price is no object for this one, I want a robots/traps MM to be able to solo even the hardest of content!

Also any hints tips or tricks are always appreciated, ive read over many mm guides, but I thought I would address the MM community as a whole on this one
  6. So here is what i was finally able to come up with, not quite sure what to do with the final slot, either build up, acrobatics, or hurl boulder

DEF- I understand that nothing is softcapped, OH NO DOOOM you might say, but the tank will be teamed up with an ice domination controller and have perma mind link on him essentially softcapping him to everything at about 60% except fire and cold and that will still be softcapped
    34% s/l
    30.3% e/n
    even 19% f/c

109% MAX HP+ premafrost work will make him have about 200% MAX HP

END use is EXTREMELY HEAVY, but hopefully will not be a problem with this slotting/buffs

Also has GREAT resists to everything except for ENERGY which is really sad because i predict this character will see alot of energy dam, oh well ill go pick up some temp power toggles to enhance my energy DAM res

an lastly he will have the FAULT/OPRESSIVE GLOOM combo to stun everyone around him for the majority of the fight

any revising of my enhancement sets please let me know, otherwise id like to thank everyone for their help and appreciate the respect on this side of the forums

  7. Wow you guys over here on the tankers forum are so helpful and nice, thank you all for the quick replies, ima take that build you posted and ima tweak it as I can and then repost for some additional help
  8. Hello all, after considering all the options, my two brothers and I are looking to make a trio to run multiple TFs such as RWZ, Crimorea, and the New ones that were released.

That said, my brother is going to be building a tank and I believe dark armor/stone will be a fun and very good choice

However I need some help with slotting

out of this build, I need the following:
1)atleast 25.4% defense to melee/ranged/aoe as I am able to provide him with mind link and ttmaneuvers the other 19.6% however the more defense the better

2)As good Smashing/lethal, Fire/cold, Energy/Negative, and Psychic damage RES as possible

3)I am entirely unexperienced in building a dark armor tank, so any information, tips, tricks or anyhthing at all that is missing please let me know

4)I also have money to blow on this build

Here are a list of powers that I feel I have to have, however like I said i am inexperienced and everything is negotiable, also anything else that I need please let me know, thank you to all who reply

  11. Also while the builds that everyones posted are definitely VERY good and interesting, im still waiting for that one build that just calls my name and does everything I would like it too, thank you all so much for your replys and i hope they keep coming
  12. I am certainly willing to buy purples, just like tere are a few of the PVP enhancements that i see selling for billions
  13. After looking many many things over, lthough i would prefer a melee oriented build, if staying at a range is that much more beneficial than i really wouldnt mind that route either. Otherwise I would prefer a in your face PBAOE oriented type character
  14. Hello everyone I am recently returning to COX and could not be happier with the improvements which have been made

I am attempting to make a Fort which will be able to do all that i want and im having a hard time with the slotting and a couple of power choices and thought I would go to the experts to help me build the all around greatest fort ever!

I am posting the powers which I believe i would like to have on my build, but they are however debatable

    the few requirements are:
1)TF oriented, but however remains the ability to solo content exceptionally
2)Killer single target attack chain, hopefully involving melee
3)An AOE attack chain which will help me mow through mobs
    4)Defense capped at atleast 45%

Money is no issue so feel free (and please do) go all out for me and this build. Just none of the billion dollar enhancements Thank you immensely to all who reply and please be nice

  15. I am also looking for a buuild which softcaps and has blaze mastery, money is no issue just none of the pvp enhancements :P
  16. Simply put im looking toi make a scrapper farmer, i have a fire/kin and it gets sooo broing not actually using fighting powers and i heard scrappers were better at it

annnnd so that said, i was wondering which is the best scrapper farmer out there right now?? i would assume either spines/fiery aura, or shield/electric melee, but i want expert advice
  17. so its possible to get the recharge of boost range to stack on mids, but i was wondering if i were todo this would it stack and give me effectively 148% range boost??
  18. Hello all, i simply have one question..
i am a robots/trick arrow mastermind and im noticing that my kb is very common, and i want to be able to keep mobs in the fire of my rockets and oil slick arrow,
the +defense shield from mace mastery would be much better for me defensively than the charged armor from mu, but the immobilize doesnt resist kb in mace :/
and so would it be better for me to go mace or mu for my bots/ta?
  19. Hey again all, I Recently posted asking for information on avs, but my cousin and I have made a duo which has been successful at soloing many avs, I am a ma/reg scrapper and he is a ss/wp tank, we have both tried using the dps formula to try and figure our own, but everytime we hve come up with ridiculous numbers :P I can give yall the numbers on our attacks and I was just wondering if someone could assist us in finding the exact dps we have
the numbers to the side of the attack says how much damage it does

    ma attack chain stormkick(245)-->CAK(236)-->stormkick(245)-->eaglesclaw(340)

    ss attack chain koblow(334.5)-->haymaker(147.7)-->airsup(90.1)-->jab(61.3)-->haymaker(147.7)-->airsup(90.1)

and also I was just wondering if it is even possible to add build up and rage into the factor to see who does more dps? I tell my cousin all the time that I smoke him in dmg, but he is convinced that he does more :P
  20. Hey all, I have done quite a bit of searching on the forums trying to find some more info on avs, but haven't quite found what I wanted so I thought I would come here to the almighty scrapper forums for the knowledge I seek

    1) how much of an effect does -res have on an av? Because on my 4 man team we were thinking of adding a friend to make a sonic/ sonic defender for the buffs, but more importanly the - res debuffs and I was just wondering how effective would that be?

2)about how much -regen does it tale to floor an avs regeneration?

3)how much more difficult are giant monsters than avs? Can they be done with a 4 or 5 man team?

  21. Hey all, i have played for almost 2 years now and when i originally started my main character was a MA/REG scrapper, i had stopped playing him because MA was week compared to some other sets and i didnt enjoy the green glowyness of regen...

Now that ma has some pretty cool new animations coming and regeneration can be changed in color, it is time... time to rebuild my once great scrapper into something... GREATER!

    my questions are as follow...
1)what would be an ideal ST attack chain for taking avs out?
2)would anyone by chance be willing to help me come up with a build? i would like to have a HIGH damaging st attack chain, dragons tail, and 3 powers from energy mastery, cp, laser beam eyes, and energy torrent, and i would like to pack as much survivability into him as possible and oh hasten is a must too

any slotting tips would be greatly appreciated
thank you to all who reply and assist in helping me restore Wolfstryke to his former glory
  22. Okay guys, this isnt a thread calling out to the developers or anything, but its a thread looking to gain enough support in this matter so that the developers may consider our desperate need for energy melee

I myself would love NOTHING more in the entire game to be able to create a energy melee scrapper, and im sure im not the only one.

The other 3 melee sets are able to get this set, and according to numerous spreadsheets such as Billz it wouldnt even be a set that outperforms any other and would provide much happiness to all of the scrapper community

I would like to thank the developers for everything they are giving to us through issue 16, and going rouge, along with everything they have given us in the past, i would just simply like them to atleast consider through all this awesome powerset proliferating giving energy melee to scrappers and if the developers feel it is not a good decision to at the moment, i believe we would all appreciate just a simple explanation as to why

    LONG LIVE COH!
  23. hey all, so i know i recently posted in this forum, but i have yet another question, so my brother is a dark/dark corr who has MASSIVE amounts of -to hit

now then i am a fortunata who is easily soft capped

we also team with a bane and in the end we are all soft capped with my fort being well over the cap, now then my question is....

if i have 45% defense i have a certain chance of being hit..
if they have their to hit debuffed to the floor then they have a certain chance of hitting...

Do these values combine to make someone unhittable?

thank you to all who reply and i hope my question is clear
  24. thank you both for the replies any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated
  25. i heard the best thing about fearsome stare is the -to hit, is that true? if so should slotting be different?
