Dark Armor help please

Hello all, after considering all the options, my two brothers and I are looking to make a trio to run multiple TFs such as RWZ, Crimorea, and the New ones that were released.

That said, my brother is going to be building a tank and I believe dark armor/stone will be a fun and very good choice

However I need some help with slotting

out of this build, I need the following:
1)atleast 25.4% defense to melee/ranged/aoe as I am able to provide him with mind link and ttmaneuvers the other 19.6% however the more defense the better

2)As good Smashing/lethal, Fire/cold, Energy/Negative, and Psychic damage RES as possible

3)I am entirely unexperienced in building a dark armor tank, so any information,tips,tricks or anyhthing at all that is missing please let me know

4)I also have money to blow on this build

Drum roll please.

(Actually, I'm just going to find my build that's posted in my Dark Armor Sucks thread and link it. I just need a few minutes.)

EDIT: Wow, my thread got buried pretty far back. Anyway, here's where I posted my build. It's a little outdated and it is /Fire Melee, but you should be able to tweak it without problem to fit your needs. Put something together and post it. I'll help you optimize from there.

Also, just scan through that thread. There's some garbage in there, but a lot of good information about Dark Armor as well.

Ok so here's the thing, smashing/lethal/energy/negative def need to be soft capped, achieve that and the ready is easy. My experience so far running my new DA tank on my new account is as follows. (btw I can solo +4+8 all enemies except achronos for some reason?) Dark regen is what makes the build, your damage isnt really a major' factor considering you need allocate alot of slotting on def. But once slotted very godly! (wish the devs designed a holy armour) like I sed you can become uber with da, not even my invun Mr Olympus compares and he is well built. I would even go as far as to say da once io'd is the best tank AT around. Kinetic combats and eradications are very expensive but well worth it. Also look me up for a pvp build if you need one? Thats my.niche

So here is what i was finally able to come up with,not quite sure what to do with the final slot, either build up, acrobatics, or hurl boulder

DEF- I understand that nothing is softcapped, OH NO DOOOM you might say, but the tank will be teamed up with an ice domination controller and have perma mind link on him essentially softcapping him to everything at about 60% except fire and cold and that will still be softcapped
34% s/l
30.3% e/n
even 19% f/c

109% MAX HP+ premafrost work will make him have about 200% MAX HP

END use is EXTREMELY HEAVY, but hopefully will not be a problem with this slotting/buffs

Also has GREAT resists to everything except for ENERGY which is really sad because i predict this character will see alot of energy dam, oh well ill go pick up some temp power toggles to enhance my energy DAM res

an lastly he will have the FAULT/OPRESSIVE GLOOM combo to stun everyone around him for the majority of the fight

any revising of my enhancement sets please let me know, otherwise id like to thank everyone for their help and appreciate the respect on this side of the forums

I like the build and I think it really opens up some opportunities to not have to concentrate so much on defense. Your endurance usage is nothing to worry about. Including the two +end procs, your net recovery was starting at 2.9 end/sec. If you can drain that much by attacking and using conserve power, then I don't know what powers you're using.

Anyway, I played with it a bit. Moved a few slots around, and gave you a level 49 power: Build Up. Even without slotting, it's great sometimes when you start getting tohit debuffs. Hasten and Conserve power really don't gain much from the third recharge reduction, so I put those slots elsewhere. Cloak of Darkness was way underslotted, so I filled that out, got you some more regen and an accuracy bonus. I changed one of the Death Shroud endurance reductions to a DMG/END. The endurance cost doesn't really change much, but now the damage is close to ED cap. The defense bonus from BotZ isn't really worth much; I had it in my build for the last bit of energy defense I needed. I added that slot to Taunt, switched the set and got you another max endurance bonus. I also don't think OG needs three full hamio slots, so I put that one in Seismic Smash for the Mako quad. Finally, you needed some more KB protection, so I threw a BotZ in Super Jump. KB protection needs to be 12, since 8 doesn't protect you from anything that 4 can't.

One more thing: Switching one of the common end mod IOs in Stamina and PP to a Performance Shifter End Mod doesn't lose anything, but you gain a movement bonus.
