cold or dark. the def and -tohit can also make a big difference. take an envenomed dagger along if you want more -regen.

hmm... can you say stealth nerf till they find a way to stop the farming.
Hope you all got a lot of inf cause PVP IO prices are about to go through the roof.
The real shame is that if they find a way to nerf the farms and don't increase drop rates its just setting the table for even more price gouging and increasing the odds off people taking sales out of game into RMT trades. You want my +def proc? Sure, just paypal me 20 bucks and its yours. -
Same thing is happening in zones. No rewards are dropping at all.

Quote:This I agree with. I don't think its just related to AE though. I think its a general decline in the games community. I believe its more related to IOs than AE though.I don't care how people play the game. I really don't. Thing is, the AE exploits DO affect me. I'm not talking down the line, like real money businesses, or causing expensive salvage and lack of recipes - that's all after the fact.
What I hate is the incredible influx of complete jerks running around. Hateful bile, spewing out on broadcast... if I wanted to hear that stuff, I'd watch reality TV. -
aren't those the screenshots from badge-hunter?

If you a returning player you should notice a positive difference in the xp curve from 30ish to 40. Not such a grind anymore.

Quote:who pissed on your cheeriosHonestly, I think the case is more about Beef_cake not having to "correct" what he's already done, but looking for the devs to fix it on their end so he doesn't have to backtrack his own work.
For me, this isn't important because is affects gameplay 0%. No matter how you look at it, you are getting awarded a badge for completing a task. The image files correctly match the TF reward. The filenames, as Beef noted, are different. Once again, that affects the gameplay 0% as you are not being cheated out of anything. As every badge has been earned and verified, in Beta, no one is missing out on anything.
And I'm FAR from being an "average player" but this is a non-issue to me, once again, because it doesn't change the gameplay in any way. And... if the gameplay is the actual thing that's important (ie. no badges if the game is broken), then I'd rather see the Devs spend time on keeping the gameplay working rather than have to backtrack their own work JUST to keep Beef_Cake happy.
And let's not forget... this wouldn't be an issue if Beef_Cake didn't make it one. No one else put any thought or cared to make this point, most likely, because it really is a non-issue... or they didn't pigg dive. -
Also check out the guides section for tips on basic and advanced slotting.

Quote:Your just wrong. I help people everyday learn how to min/max their builds and time spent putting them together. You need to learn how to play the market, maximize ticket and salvage return and earn hero merits. No AT in this game requires pvp or purple IOs to be very effective.Yeah. I do not think the vast majority of the posters are feeling me. i am a 42 month Vet. I did not arrive in the cities yesterday. I understand what you are saying about diminishing returns. I am saying, there is no feasible way for anyone to get one toon fully tricked out with purples and PvP enhancers unless they 1) farm all day every day for a year. (farm, not play) 2) buy in game cash from china illegally.
So, the Devs have set up this situation. the Devs need to fix it. Most people want to spend 3-6 months on one toon, and have something way cool to show for it. if the Devs do not get that then they need to have a serious conference style think tank day. -
Beef,
I don't know what to say. Your my hero and this thread is so full of win I almost cried. -
Yes, you can softcap your AOE, keep 87.5% recharge and have more HP and End. Drop GFS from your single target chain and use the slots somewhere else. Take Ring of Fire instead of the hold (if you must stick with blaze), it does more damage if you do use it. Easiest way is to drop GFS and go Soul for Darkblast. Use the extra slots and power to improve your HP and Def numbers.
If you want AOE, sub Mu and grab Ball Lightning -
I don't know what anyone else says, cause I couldn't make it past the first page, but the Brute that just defines brute for me is a SS/Shield. Get it to softcap w/ good recharge and hitpoints and you are a killing machine. Pushing 400% damage buff without outside buffs. You don't die because they do.

Quote:I've found the same thing to be the case with my shield/fire. No problems unless he unloads with the End Drain, I had him chain it off on me 3 times in a row one night. lucky we had an off tank who held him off the group till I was retoggled.Well, I just finished an STF, the first I've tanked since GR hit and I did find that LR's AI has changed. Now he uses that channelgun end drain attack MUCH more often, and he uses it in melee... something he didn't do before. I went in with my normal insp loadout and got dropped three times; twice to end drain and once to stupidity by letting the purple drop while typing to the team.
I'd recommend tanking him now with a couple of big blues as well as purples and oranges; and some form of heal support is helpful. Once I figured out his new AI we didn't have problems; our Kin had Heal Other from the medicine pool and that plus Dull Pain were plenty. He's definitely more dangerous now than he used to be. I don't know if his AI changed with GR or with the last patch but he's certainly different now.
Bottom line, with the AI change whether it's intentional or not Lord Recluse is considerably more dangerous now. -
If your in Sharkhead, on Pinn, it was a problem with th zone last night. Don't know if they fixed it but thats the only place I was having issues.
-
SS/Shields but you have the recharge issue you mention. Fires DOT scales with fury which makes them pretty close when averaged out but I don't know the actual numbers off the top of my head.
-
The Purples an be subbed for Sciraccos and a recharge proc if your on a budget.

Quote:what?to the COH programing team would be best if the player buy or play 4 years or more
you send him a strategy book free and have a pool that make the account trop only rare recepies by every LVL4 boss they defeat , and have to not only 2xp 4xp and money 3xthat can be a good issue to have in COH and every player will vote for that just ask in the forum and you will see and bring a 3x week 1 every 2 moths .
evry 1 in COH forum tell to the develoment team thiss too this cam be 1 of the best thing that ever happend in COH since going rouguesl -
Quote:Now this is funny
Sorry if our team mates came off as abrasive, but these are tough times for GGG. We are under new leadership (Dark Omega has taken over) and he hasn't really done much to keep the troops under control. Please send any complaints you may have to him, and hopefully he can resolve them ASAP. -
Quote:I never said it was a good idea. I said I think thats what their plan/goal/hope is.
Please do tell me why that would be a good idea? The backlash so far would only get worse if this were true and pushed to live. -
Take your word for it. I haven't been able to get in game since last friday due to illness. They are still a bargain purple set even at 100 mil compared to the 200-400mil I last saw for most of the other recipes.

Quote:Please explain what you mean by this.IMO the nuke's code was incompatible with CoP's code and as such a bug occurred and thus both systems were to blame.
and FYI regarding your previous quote, I was saying that if the devs let the players learn the trial better that, with time only pug and suboptimal teams will rely on the nukes. Such teams are typically going to made up of players just grabbing the badge who aren't likely to really Raid the COP trial. Any real raid group is not going to want to be relying on nukes because of the prep time it takes to have them. Such teams will be purpose built. However with the reward at only 6 merits and a temp its not likely that we will see very many hardcore groups raiding the COP like we see with hami until the incarnate system is in place. If the strategies developed by those groups does not filter down to the pugs then lots of casual players won't be getting their incarnate salvage.
I "think" the ban on nukes is the devs trying to jump start that learning process. I also think it will work eventually but in the mean time a lot of players are going to be shutout of the trial and feel some very serious resentment towards the devs. We are already seeing that even before it even happens.
That said would some of you folks that are talking about already doing nukeless raids start posting up some information about how you are doing it in the guides section. -
Quote:this is a pretty tame thread. I don't think anyone is really trolling to much.Well, in all fariness, it would have just fine if it weren't for all the haterade being passed around in here.....
I know I am never really surprised or offended when someone chimes in with an I hate marketeering comment on a thread discussing some form of market manipulation.
Plus, the whole idea of just burning your influence for the sake of deleting recipes that are saturating a market segment just for fun is kinda humorous. The sleep and confuse drops are so under valued that they really would just be taking up slots any major marketeers would be using to sell things with better margins. The only reason they even sell for what the do is because of the set bonuses, not natural supply and demand. -
Quote:I don't need to keep it there. If all its about is profit I just need to spike it and sell out. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. And of course it was talk, you see that littleTalk is cheap. Drive it up and keep it there for a month...then come talk about it. Otherwise...all talk.
at the end there. That means teasing, go place a bid on a sense of humor dude.

Quote:If you like I'd be happy to drive the price for 2 pieces of this set back up to 20 million. I can always use the extra inf. At this point some villian RPer should be doing that just to be a better villain.Cause buying one of the remaining 25 recipes at 5 mil, or 33 enhancements at 10 mil would be so bothersome
So you can either cope with the market fluctuations on a BARGAIN BIN purple set or use 20 HV merits for each piece you want. 20mil each is very reasonable just for the set bonuses.
