Stereoscopic? We'd have to see. It could cause motion sickness easily (guessing.) I remember the issues they had with the original look of the Sonic Powers and how they had to be toned down.

Stereoscopic/3D is a long way off from being a commercially available "trick" and has some development needed before we'll see it reach the gaming market.

In modern lingo "long way off" translates into <1 year.
We played CoH in 3D about 5.5 years ago, when the glasses first became available. It's not bad despite not being natively supported, but not cool enough to justify the cost (or attendant headache).

Ergo, since this is events that have taken place after the original arc, it can safely be presumed that by this time in the life of the game, Vanessa's identity as the Queen of the Carnival is known to you and others.
No, that can't be assumed. As we have hashed it out many times on these forums, leveling up is also a passage through time. Level 1 starts out sometime in 2004 or 2005 and level 50 takes you to autumn 2009. Whenever you begin a new character, you are essentially going back in time to 2005 and starting over.
  3. IOs aren't optional for the endgame stuff. One of my L50 Blasters has all SOs with one HO and his death rate is ridiculous compared to my Blaster who has a mixed bag of IO sets and generic IOs. I'm not even going to bother trying him the on the new missions because my well-equipped Blasters had tremendous difficulty even with help, so it would simply be a waste of time.
  4. I didn't want to steal his bandwidth and anyone who doesn't know the strip isn't the sort of person we truck with.

It's not, and is just as wrong. The dead don't care, obviously, but it's extremely uncool to make people do things they might not have wanted to do when alive. It's disrespectful to say the least.

I know he's looking at the "hey, wouldn't this be cool" factor for films and keeping an eye on the bottom line for business, but it shouldn't ought to be done, especially since a lot of actors never expected something like this would ever be possible and therefore didn't protect themselves. I assume a lot of people will just be excited by the fact that Alec Guinness will be able to appear in all the Star Wars films because Lucas will just digitize his appearance based on Bridge Over the River Kwai or whatever, but that doesn't make it right.

Also Ramiel isn't hard and perfectly soloable.
On my AR Blaster, I found it to be quite difficult. I had to ask a friend to help me with Trapdoor. I soloed Honoree/Holz but died 3-4 times and only managed it but summoning a snowman and two warwolves.

    Exactly my sentiments.

  9. Nice. I really like the touch of Lady Justice in the background.

But for a one-to-one comparison, these six episodes are better than Vol. 1. In my opinion, of course. But that's because TV allows for more breathing room and is a bit more dynamic. As you said, Vol. 1 is an introduction, so it rushes through a lot of things that I think are important. That, though, may be due to watching the show and feeling certain events should have more weight in the comic.
Kirkman said in an interview recently that he thought the comic was going to get canceled, so he crammed a lot of stuff in there and compressed the storyline quite a bit more than he wanted. That's why he's been so enthusiastic about the changes Darabont has made.
  11. Logically this episode was totally retarded, but it was great fun despite that because, you know, I've seen Smallville before and shift my brain into neutral while awaiting Supernatural.

I mean, come on, Lionel is back. Logic be damned, that's awesome, man.

I have no idea who she is and I actually watched the Teen Titans cartoon a few times. (Admittedly mostly for the uber-awesome J-pop theme song, but still.)

This is done by The Hand and boy do I love it. I love the whole scene, it's definitely a first for the collection. I love everything about it - especially that cute little rat creature leading the charge!

Awesome pic from Juggy, one of his best yet, and I really, *really* want to hear the backstory and tales of derring-do, because the names of the Rogues Gallery ALONE have piqued my interest. Do tell!
  17. It really does look amazingly like the cartoon. I can't think of any other live action film that has so precisely copied the animated source material. Speed Racer came awfully close in the characters but not at all in the world. Yamato looks to get all of it down.

    Super Granny

    The photos are awesome:

91-year-old grandma turns superhero to battle depression

91-year-old Hungarian grandmother (and real-life hero) Frederika Goldberger was depressed and lonely. So her photographer grandson found a unique way to turn that around. Why not make her outside match her inside, by dressing her up like a superhero and taking tons of awesome photos of her in action?

Sacha Goldberger's grandmother survived Nazism and Communism and even saved the lives of 10 people during World War II. When he saw how down she was a few years ago, he suggested she dress up as a superhero and allow him to take pictures of her in crazy situations, which she reluctantly agreed to do.

But that reluctance—and her depression—soon faded, as she became a MySpace hit.

Check out our favorites of her pics below. Could YOU be depressed dressed like that

You get the rain and the sound effects and that is all. I like it.
I'm trying out that same MMO and the weather is superbly atmospheric. It really is an amazing difference from the other primary zone, which is more like Paragon City with its bright sunshiny days. Especially when planes (!) fly overhead, their lights piercing the rain clouds. I have much less trouble stability-wise there, as well, which rather surprised me. It has zero effect on gameplay other than add another thematic design element to that particular zone.

Now that I've experienced how cool it can be, I'm even more in favor of it. I wouldn't want it to happen all the time, of course, but every once in a while (once a week, maybe, in a couple zones) would be a nice change. Throw in an overcast sky (steal it from CoV) and a few puddles here and there, a la the tunnels in Praetoria, and it would be really cool. Make it snow in winter and it would be a hit, I think.

    RNG's Blessing

Can you feel my hate through the intartoobs?
  22. I am, too. I was going to praise the new tilesets as well, because I've been asking for them forever, but every warehouse is the same now. As nice as these are, it's a step backward to have less variety.
