That certainly sounds like a bug. I didn't even realize the First Ward arcs were in Ouroboros. I'll have to check them out.

Quote:Well then, I'm glad you're not involved in running the company. If you were, that attitude would be grossly irresponsible.Your point about NCSoft taking on legislative responsibilities seems mis-targeted to me. They are in a business in which their customers are seeking to express a virtual identity through a name in a game. To the extent to which another company can restrict NCSoft's customers from doing perfectly legal things within the game they pay to play, NCSoft has a responsibility to defend against predatory legal action lacking any real merit. If NCSoft wants to sacrifice their own rights (and those of their customers) in order to save on legal fees incurred defending bogus lawsuits, then that is their choice. But that is the sort of "responsible business practice" that allows protection rackets to flourish. I don't find it particularly laudable even if it is highly "practical".

Quote:Yes.If you spend $100 for the 9,600 Paragon Point deal, will you get 8 Reward Tokens?
I've heard people say such but wondering if anyone's confirmed this by buying that themselves.
Quote:it should only give you 6 tokens (unless you have another 5$ of purchases you've made which would bring you to 7)
you get 1 token for every 15$ you spend NOT for ever 1200 points you accrue.
The $100 package DOES give you 8 Rewards Tokens. I speak from personal experience. Furthermore, since it was my FIRST purchase of points, I got the extra bonus Token for a total of 9. -
You're a squirrel with a bazooka. What more do you need?
Wow, that's warped. Here's a heads up: this is a GAME. It sounds like you're taking it all WAY too seriously. -

Quote:Issues like this have to be thrashed out in court, which costs money. Most businesses are publicly owned and have a responsibility to the shareholders. Crusading to fix the laws is all well and good but, unless it is going to benefit that specific company, it would be financially irresponsible to do so. Just saying.Any company that must change its practices because of IP law or the threat of IP lawsuits is part of the crusade for rational laws in this arena whether they like it or not. It's just that backing down and, in many cases burrying one's head in the sand, is simply the "safer" fiscal policy. But that helps nobody but the huge media empires in the long run. Just saying.

Not a day goes by when I don't have occasion to comment that "The old-timers are coming out of the woodwork."

Yes. It acts exactly like an enhancement slotted in any power that accept healing enhancements. Except it's better because part of it ignores ED limits.

Quote:Poor choice of words. "Prudence" or "caution" would be more accurate. But by the same token, are the GMs really doing the right thing by "enforcing" rules pertaining to copyright and trademark when no copyright or trademark is actually being violated? I think in a great many cases, the GMs are just making snap judgments out of fear.
Quote:While this might be a sound strategy from a business perspective, it can't exactly be lauded as an admirable example of navigating the choppy waters of IP law in an informed or enlightened manner. -
Quote:Might be a typo. Quote from the Dev Chat highlight thread.....The Halloween event page says the new event is for "up to four characters".
Does this mean we can solo it if we want?
-
"In other words", hm? So you mean YOU think it's an exploit. Let's not forget the new notoriety system that lets you solo as a team of 8 - the biggest gift ever to farmers. In no way did this hinder farming. What it did was to change the nature of farming so the farmers didn't need to bug other players to pad their missions. It made it less impacting on OTHER players.
Quote:and the Devs have taken steps to minimize it's presence in the game because, like it or not, it does affect the community when certain people play an aberrant play style and can get greater rewards for it and start flooding the market with extra cash drops etc.
Quote:Paying a subscription doesn't mean you can grief, hack, cheat, exploit or just run amok, their are rules, you agree to them every time you sign in, and in this game they don't like farming. -

Quote:As far as I can tell, it scales with level just like other travel powers (well, most of them). So it's a bit faster at higher levels.I had never used Beast Run before this week. It seems awfully fast for low levels--does it continue to be useful? How does it compare to a "real" travel power?
Personally, I think it *IS* a 'real' travel power. Once upon a time, before Inherent Fitness, I used to skip travel powers completely on some characters and rely on Sprint/Swift or Combat Jumping/Hurdle. Now, all my characters can have Ninja Run/Beast Run for 'free' (i.e. no power selection required). Now, I have a lot of characters who skip the 'real' travel powers. -

Well, you can always use one of the methods that people used to use to track what Praetorians they had defeated before Null the Gull came along. You can use the playernote function to write a note on YOURSELF. Since it's your note, no one else can see it.

Quote:No.I think you just get two to apply to any server. Any you got from annual bonuses or GR that you already aplied to a particular server are still associated with that server.
Quote:This was my experience when I allowed my VIP sub to lapse for a couple of days to reset my billing date. -
Quote:On the bright side, they did one thing right in that interface: there is no 'Claim All' button for the character items. There's no reason not to Claim All in the Account tab other than maybe avoiding clutter. The Character Items tab should be used more judiciously.
My personal gripe is that we should be able to drag the border of the email window to expand it so we can see more than a few items at once. -
Don't start posting as stupid as some people have. The points have a dollar value. Now, that value can vary since you get bonus points on large purchases. I bought $100 at once for my main account. And.... I still think the increased storage items are too expensive and will not buy them. Unless, of course, they go on sale with a sufficient discount that I perceive them as having value commensurate to their cost.
