There is also a Market-related global channel. Well, I imagine there's more than one, but I'm only on one. I sold a PvP recipe that way. I let it go for 2 billion. The buyer got a bargain and I avoided paying the Consignment House 10% vig.

Quote:By "challenging", I guess you mean 'tedious'.As the others implied the mix ATs/powersets on your team isn't really nearly as important as making sure you have plenty of travel and/or teleport capabilities. The actual missions are pretty simple - it's the traveling to get to them that really makes that TF challenging.

Quote:The first sentence is irrelevant. As for the second, it's wrong. It *IS* for every 1200 points you buy, whether you spent $5 at a time or $100 at once. If he bought 1200 AT ONE TIME, that GUARANTEES receiving a Token. It doesn't matter how many he has bought previously or in what size purchases.Something you need to consider, however, is that bonus points do count towards the 1200. If you haven't kept track of how many points you have actually gotten then it won't simply be "every 1200 points you buy".
Quote:I'm not sure about purchasing points in lumps of 400 points if you will get the token once you reach 1200, but you should definitely get one when you purchase the 1200 points outright.
As several people have mentioned, some people have had to log out and back in to get their Tokens. On my two purchases, the Tokens showed up immediately without having to log. -
Quote:So, your contention is that true creativity is no longer possible? If I took that seriously I would be crushed. Luckily, I don't give a (rhymes w/ blap)!!!
Rough, have you ever done any arts? Writing, drawing, painting, playing music?
For writing, there are only seven plots.
For music, 75% of western music is a variation of the exact song. If there are extended bridges or codas, they are pretty much derivative of something else that's been done before.
For painting, unless your are Picasso, you are also going to struggle to be original. although, to be fair, he created approx 10,000 works of art in his life and only invented like 7 genres. Kind of weak.
So yeah, I am inspired, copy, call it what you like. Glad to hear you never do, get over your genius self.
And that leads you to feel it's okay to rip off other peoples work? -
Quote:No, you didn't just do that. By your own description, you were a VIGILANTE when you ran the morality mission. You have to already be a hero, and then run a hero morality mission. This also applies to characters who were always heroes. You have to run a hero morality mission before you can earn the A-Merits from the Signature Arcs.I'll just become a hero & do it again. Almost 2 weeks later (12 days), having completed my hero morality mission, I tried it again. This time, I got the message (paraphrasing) "You must have completed your most recent Morality mission as a hero to obtain this reward". Since I had just done that, this response was rather frustrating!
Quote:I'm not too pleased with being FORCED to run the Tip missions before being able to run the SSA & getting the Alignment Merit.
Quote:If this is the case, a Rogue merit of some sort needs to be available in-game. -
Quote:Have you seen the Puss In Boots version?I think a lot of it is also tongue-in-cheek. Old Spice's commercials are so over the top, it's more for the comedic impact than it is for "making it manly."

Oops. I didn't see this line until Sam quoted it. I think it's an improvement - a big one. I personally like it a hell of a lot more than starting with the plain tights.

Quote:No, the reason we have not answered the question as stated is because it's a useless question. But, if you want a direct answer: Because NCSoft is a business and their goal is to make money. Anyone who does not feel their subscription is giving them acceptable value should stop subscribing.Yet, this is tangential, no one has really answered the topic question, because you can't. You are at a loss and have to revert to the same old tired arguments.
Was it really necessary for someone to tell you the blatantly obvious?
As for why people "revert to the same old tired arguments", well, it's because the same old entitlement threads keep showing up again and again. -
I was wearing the Spectral Pirate costume during the Halloween trial and my scrapper was apparently swinging an invisible broadsword.

Quote:I don't think anything was changed. All the SSA's were always on the same timer. Also, you were always able to run each arc once 'for free' (i.e. not counting against the timer). This was confirmed by Positron was 'working as intended'.I've since heard on the grapevine that we CANNOT claim vmerits for sig arc 1 AND sig arc 2 in same week. Supposedly the fact that we could do so week one of sig arc 2 was a bug/glitch that the update "fixed."
BTW, I have now run the SSA on several characters who confirmed alignment months ago and some who confirmed in the past couple of days. Everyone so far has gotten their Alignment Merit. -
Quote:No, you don't have to. However, a brute should be able to solo it easily enough and it does automatically give you a Shard at the end.I still have a ton of Astral Merits and can afford to spend 5 of those toward the Alpha Slot Voucher and send it to the brute that needs the Alpha Slot. Do I still have to run the Mender Ramiel Story Arc?
Quote:I don't use pets on the other trials right now unless asked by my leaders to avoid costing the league any badges like on Keyes, where the pets get caught by positrons hold powers and cost the league some kind of badge they want. -
I've always had the impression that MSI is not as 'high end' as Asus or Gigabyte. Having said that, when my mobo failed on a system that was a couple years old, I replaced with an MSI and was very happy with it. On new builds, I'll go with a 'bigger name'. My current system has an Asus mobo.

Quote:This is patently false. So overall subscribers get less for their money than they did before CoH went F2P.
Now, you may feel that subscribers don't get enough MORE than free players to make the subscription worthwhile. This is a value judgement. However, to say we get less than we used to is flat-out incorrect. -
Quote:And don't forget that they now officially hate Stalkers, also. That presumable because its more EU related, and we all known how devs clearly think about EU players (or any non-US players for that matter).

It's not that hard to get the badge. Someone was forming a team earlier and I asked if I could bring an empathy defender since I wanted the crows costume change emote. We had a brute, a scrapper, a controller and my emp. We took down the 99 zombies and the Abomination in 9:something.

Quote:Oops? Did you miss my post where I stated I was standing in the 'Matrix Room' as I typed the message, and then quote the directions how to get there that came AFTER my post?I think it is. I haven't been there in the past few weeks, though.

Quote:I love stating the obvious! Did we get Going Rogue for free? Did we get the Booster Packs for free? Oh, we didn't! Imagine that. We've always had to pay extra beyond the subscription fee.BTW, I preface this by saying I am currently a VIP, but won't be one soon, no matter what the devs do. I have no vested interest in what actually happens to VIP players, this is just honest perplexitude.
I hate to state the obvious, but don't they already pay?

The phasing technology causes you to see the world around you differently from other characters, based on actions you have performed. This means you can be seeing something completely different from a character standing right next to you.
When you join a team, or leadership changes, do you recall seeing a system message in your chat window saying something like, "So and so is now the active player. You are experiencing the world based on their actions." or something? That's what it's talking about - 'phasing'.
The missions and contacts in the new Atlas Park make extensive use of this. -
Quote:No, but you've made it clear that YOU are not satisfied with their performance.I am aware that they are working on bugs. I have not made any comment to the effect that they are not doing so.
Fine. We get it. At this point, you're posts are just sounding like whining. -
That's the message I get when I try to copy to the Test Server (or Beta - it's the same tool for both). I started trying to copy to Test after they wiped the server. I've been trying every few days. Seriously. If you're going to wipe the Test Server, make it possible to copy more characters over.

Quote:AKA the staff lounge and the dev dungeon? There's a couple places but giving away the locations spoils the fun of finding them. I will give you two hints. There's one in Faultline and another in Grandville.
Quote:I don't think it's possible to get to the original Arena Matrix room anymore.
hmm..... Are you referring to the Council base? -
Are they also windowless? I've seen buildings like that around NY City. They're usually part of a ventilation system for vehicle or subway tunnels. Of course, the trains in Paragon run above ground and there are no significant tunnels.

Quote:You need more people. It works like the Rikti invasion. There is a formula involving the number of people in a small area and how fast they defeat the earlier enemies.Do we need to be teamed to get nightmares to spawn? Or do we need more people?
And if someone tells you that you have to turn off AoE stealth powers like Shadowfall, tell them to sod off. These powers have no effect. The devs have said so and I have seen it with my own eyes.
