You usually need more than an 8 person group to get them to show up. I'm thinking two or three teams should do it. I usually only see them spawn when everyone in the zone shows up to take part in squashing some undead noggins.
The zombie invasions use a similar mechanic to the Rikti invasions. Basically, keep your team together and kill stuff quickly. As Warkupo suggests, more people makes this much easier.

And if someone tells you that you have to turn off AoE stealth powers like Shadowfall, tell them to sod off. These powers have no effect. The devs have said so and I have seen it with my own eyes.

Generally 1-2 full teams should be able to manage it and no they don't actually need to be teamed just enough present in the area to exceed the P:M threat ratio

I just can't seem to get nightmares to spawn. I was part of a 6-people zombie killing effort last night and the most we got were soulless husks. Do we need to be teamed to get nightmares to spawn? Or do we need more people?
