Quote:So, we're assuming the tank either:How are you, the team's tank' going to get them off said troller if you cannot move because you have no avenue to move.
1) Is running Rooted and/or Granite and did not take Teleport.
2) Has two broken legs.
Otherwise, why can't he move? -

Quote:There is nothing debatable about it. You want 3 LBW2. The reason is simple: the Wardens heals count on each target INCLUDING THEMSELVES.Also it is debatable whether to use 2 or 3 LBW2 for the Arena farm - 2 allows for more targets, 3 gives more healers.
So, if you have 3 LBW2 and 4 other gladiators (the most a hero can have), you have 3 healers hitting 7 targets. 3 * 7 = 21.
If you have 2 LBW2, you can have.... I think 7 other gladiators. This gives you 2 healers hitting 9 targets. 2 * 9 = 18. The first options gives you 17% faster healing progress.
The numbers are even better for 3 vs 2 if you have additional players on your team with additional gladiators for them to heal.
Back in the day when you needed a billion points of healing for the final badge, I would run massive heal farms. We would often have a full team on one side so there would be 60-70 healing targets. (Some players would log in a second account with a pack of cheap gladiators just to provide extra healing targets.) -

Hasten. No contest. Healing Flames is huge. You want it recharging as fast as possible.
On an unrelated note, where does the ninja aspect (from the thread title) come into the picture? I came in here because the thread title basically said "ninjas on fire" to me. Is that the theme?
Oh, and speaking of ninjas on fire.... -

This week our scheduled task force happens to synch up with the Weekly Strike Target schedule.
I'm sure everyone has at least one character that needs one of the following:
1) The Numina's Compatriot badge, working toward the Task Force Commander accolade.
2) The big bonus XP at the end of the task force.
3) A Notice of the Well.
4) An excuse to slap around some Devouring Earth.
Saturday, January 21 at 1PM Eastern

Quote:Yes and yes.Do some SGs demand you quit your team and come join them or else? Or is it much like I think and just the oldest excuse in the book to leave a crappy/boring team?
There actually are SGs that make demands like that and are run by petty tyrants. Fortunately, they are very rare.
Most of the time, though, I think it's one of the following:
1) A convenient excuse.
2) One or more people in the SG want to do something. Given the choice between playing with strangers and playing with people I actually like enough to invite to my SG, guess which one I pick. -
Quote:I actually did have one tank without Taunt. He was ice/SS and I figured (correctly) that with two taunt auras and the damage he could dish out, the lack of Taunt would never be a concern. I simply wanted to play a Tauntless tank and I really didn't have any powers I wanted to drop in order to get Taunt anyway. I took him to 50, ran just about every content in the game.Thats all I been getting at Ironblade. I would gladly team with a tauntless Tanker, gladly do it without criticizing, never seen a point where a Tanker is needed really cos I do it with other alts, Doms, Controllers, Blasters, Pbs you name it all have something on offer that can turn a nightmare around.
I was expecting you to say something like "I have a Inv/DM with Darkest Night and get by!" for some reason
He was pretty much retired until the Signature arcs arrived. I dusted off all my old tanks so I would have a stable of toons that could solo the arcs for the A-Merits. While I was playing him, I realized I had never respec'ed him to get Inherent Fitness. So I did. And I added Taunt and Recall Friend (and something else I can't recall without logging in to check).
So.... at the current time, I don't actually HAVE any Tauntless tanks. But I still say a tank doesn't "need" Taunt - speaking from personal experience.
Whenever a player new to tanks posts asking if they should take Taunt, they get an avalanche of replies, both positive and negative. Every time, my advice is for them to ignore the idiots who think they know what's best for someone else. I suggest they take Taunt so that THEY can decide if THEY 'need' it. Obviously *I* like it. All my tanks have it. But anyone making a blanket statement like "All tanks need Taunt." or "No one needs Taunt." is a fool. -
Quote:Gee, innocent until proven guilty?I could be wrong, but I don't think so. I don't think your father is allowed to give you his old account. I think you have to get your own. I seem to recall it being against the rules to sell your account - and because of the nature of the situation, how would anyone know whether this is not one of those occasions?
How about you cut the guy some slack?
geeze. -
Keep in mind that time zone is an issue for the OP. His location says Netherlands. He might want to stick with a server that was originally EU as it is likely to have more people playing from his time zone.

Cool. I have a few of those books. When the video started, my first thought was whether it would include the Tarantula. And it did.

Quote:Wow, who cares? This is just one more thread where people are either objecting that something is up for sale or saying that it costs too much. If YOU have an issue with it, don't buy it. It's that simple. But don't try to take choices away from everyone else.Yet there's already a fully working containment valve on alignment switching with the current tip mission model. To assert the idea behind monetizing alignment switches at this stage isn't profit, plain and simple, makes Paragon Studios sound like a 501(c) organization.
Quote:(Incidentally, I beg anyone's pardon if my persistence in this thread comes off in any way as personalized. Obviously I feel strongly about this issue,
Doesn't it, though?
My badger has gone all the way around the alignments three times so far. I would agree, though, that's hardly typical. I don't have any other toons that gone more than two 'steps' in any direction. -
Quote:Ah, now that sounds perfectly reasonable to me.I'll make my point even more clearer.
NO ONE WITHOUT TAUNT WILL FIND THEMSELVES THE MOST CAPABLE TANKER IN THIS GAME.
Please note, however, that plenty of players don't give a damn about being the most capable tanker in the game. All they care about is being 'good enough' and having fun. -
Nope. Running the red WST and the blue WST is just like running the same one twice. You can only earn the bonus reward once per week (per character).

Quote:I don't see any basis for that argument at all.On that basis he probably has a good argument that those extra 4 should have been granted back as global slots at that time - they were purchased slots but technical limitations prevented there allocation.
The only question is how many slots did he purchase. If it was 28, then he should have the base 2 plus 28 now. -
Quote:There are plenty of people that go out of their way to meet, help or team with new players. An example would be The Mentor Project (link in my signature) which has members on every server and a global channel ("N P C") specifically for people asking questions or looking for help with something. As we've been playing mostly with each other, we've not really played with any other teams on the server. Also because we felt somewhat inexperienced and thus hesitated to group with people who might have been playing for years.
You really don't have to worry too much about missing stuff in this game. Most of the content is available via Flashback in Ouroboros, which will temporarily reduce you to the correct level. Task forces, strike forces and the signature arcs do the same. And, even if you do actually miss something, you can just team with someone in the correct level range and everyone else on the team gets their level adjusted (up or down) to the mission holder. -

So, clicking the W key does not move the character?
Try this: /unbind w
That command clears any binds and resets the key to the default CoH setting. If that gets it working again, that would mean that the game somehow forgot all the binds - even the 'built in' ones. -

Quote:Correct. The previous loyalty program (for the Vanguard items) counted your subscription as uninterrupted as long as you were subscribed during any part of each day. This was confirmed by a redname.from what ive been reading and recall from previous loyalty programs i think i should be alright but im not 100% certain.
I have not seen any information about the current loyalty program, but have no reason to think it would work any differently.
