I didn't even know it tracked that.
Having checked, and found 523, I wonder "Why?"

Quote:I want this part.3: The addition of the Birthday costume pack, which will include (But not be limited too) a conical birthday party hat, a Birthday sash, and a Birthday suit (Which shall include an optional version that will be composed of special fibers that only those of superior intelligence will be able to see), as well as a /Confetti and /Noisemaker emotes.
It was my understanding that CAT was 'the other white meat'. I have a t-shirt that says so! -
Well, playing 5 years.... have made billions.... and I have no idea what "BoA" means (aside from Bank of America). Want to clue me in?

Not that I'm aware of. I've been doing exactly that for five years across multiple systems.

Apropos of nothing in particular, my ice/SS doesn't even have Tough or Weave. With a +HP/heal power and Hibernate, he seems plenty durable without the Fighting pool. To be fair, though, I built him mainly for small teams and soloing. He's got like 15% of global damage bonuses.
My shield tank, on the other hand, does have Tough and Weave. Without the great clickies in ice armor, I wanted him north of the defense soft cap (right around 49% for all positions). -
Quote:Someone (with more patience than me) should use this to make an M.C. Escher base that you can only navigate with flight. If I'm understanding the question correctly, then what you might want to do is use the 'Cubicle' item. Once placed, items that normally only stick to a wall will stick to it, and it can also be floated via the accent lamp to get the right height.

To be clear, that won't actually delete the channel out of existence (or it might). Global channels are like SG's - they get deleted when the last person leaves. If someone is still on it, you're only removing it from your list.

No. Previously, it applied to everyone. Now it no longer applies to active accounts. If your account goes inactive long enough, you lose everything on the market. We've had people come in here and pitch a fit over it.

Quote:Yes, but the main purpose is not to raise your HP total, the main use of the power is to HEAL yourself after you've taken a beating. You want to hit ED limits on the healing (and recharge).I do understand that the only hole here is fire damage, honestly I do and I admit I was focusing originally just on bonusses, defense first, then HP then recharge.
Hoarfrost is perm and with 1 accolade and that running I'm at cap HP. I can't have any more than 3212 HP, right?
Maybe he's thinking about defense debuffs. If you're 'just' at the soft cap, what happens against foes higher than your level? Or when fighting Cimerorans. One hit drops you significantly below the cap, then you have a 'cascade failure' (each hit makes it more likely there will be additional hits) and you're dead in seconds.Quote:Regarding Frozen Armor the only option is to slot for defense, right? Well I'm at the capped defense number for that power. There's no reluctance to slotting it but I don't see why it makes a difference.
Sorry if I'm missing something here but I don't see it. -
If you read the first post in this thread, Castle said there is a reason to hold onto it. Of course, he didn't say what or when.....

Moonfire. Aside from the regular spawns in various missions, that TF has one mission entirely of vampyri and another entirely of puppies.

Quote:Actually, it doesn't vary. It WAS 25% but was changed to 10% quite a few issues back.Just a quick FYI: Apparently in most MMO's credit for a critter's defeat is given to whoever got the killshot. In this game it's based on whether you did enough damage to the enemy to qualify. It varies a bit, but it's usually somewhere between 10% and 25% of the total damage to the critter.

Even better if you can find an outleveled contact of the same origin. They will automatically send you to the current contact in that origin.

It's a smokescreen. He mentions that out of date stuff but he'll also occasionally slip in some information that he shouldn't know. Seriously, how did this yahoo find out about Ouroboros and the Midnighter Club?

Have you got a mouse utility running? Sometimes those will override CoH. When I got a Logitech mouse, I had to disable all the special button functionality so that CoH could read buttons 4 thru 6.

Sign me up for team one with Introspector again (mind/psi dom).

Quote:(shrug) Stand BEHIND her and participate in the beatdown. That's worked fine for me every time.If I am playing a tanker there's at least something I can do without being in melee range. On a scrapper, there is nothing. At least, no one here has been able to come up with any plausible suggestions, even if pointing this out is not taken well.
I think we would all agree that a custom-built team would be the best for every task in the game. But this is irrelevant. You take what you can get and people bring what they want to play. And, in my experience, that is not a problem. I generally don't run into build Nazi's or team Nazi's who demand everything has to be just so. Once in a blue Moon, I'll get one of those "We can't start without a tank and a healer" morons, but this is RARE. I just don't see any builds or AT's getting 'squeezed out'.Quote:I think it follows logically from this that just about any other damage dealing character would be preferable to have on a team than a scrapper for that fight. Claiming that the scrapper could use a bunch of inspirations or use a temp power ranged attack instead of his or her primary .... well, I think that makes my point for me, although it's apparently now established fact that I don't know what I am talking about. -
47 here.
Youngest person I played with (that I know of) was 14 at the time - 18 now and still playing.
Oldest (that I know of currently) is a 65-year-old grandmother in my SG.
My father was playing this game at age 70 (and eventually got bored with it and went back to EQ2). He never liked Champions, either (pen & paper version) but liked D&D. -
Quote:You assume too much. The point in the market observation is this: A rapid increase in prices indicates a reduction in total play time. A reduction in the amount total time played (all servers) leads to a reducion in the amount of supply, a reduction in the amount of supply would (my assumption w/o data other than indidvidual observations) lead to an increase in prices. Price increases would be driven by well off players willing to spend whatever needed to obtain particular IOs. If total hours played over all servers is dropping then it is a reasonable leap to assume that the same is happening at the local level.
Of course I really shouldn't have to spell this all out should I?
Reduced play time would result in reduced supply *AND* reduced income with which to buy things. Would the reduced supply or reduced influence have the greater impact? If you THINK you know the answer, explain why. I freely admit that I don't know. Like when people argue about the impact of farmers on the market - do they drive prices up (by buying things with the influence they earn) or drive prices down ( by selling drops).....
