You probably have too many arcs currently open. Here's the part that REALLY sucks. If you switched sides, like if you're hero now and started as a villain, you might have to go all the way back to villain to close out the arcs.

'Real' team size will always override 'virtual' team size with regard to bosses and AV's. You can be set to team size of 8 with no bosses. If you are solo, you'll have no bosses. If you add a 2nd player, you'll get bosses. Same with AV's (except it takes more than 2 players to get AV's - it should be six at base difficulty unless that was changed).

Quote:On the other hand, you're only killing maybe 700 or 800 dudes so it's entirely reasonable that no one gets a purple for the entire task force.Time to adjust your expectations.
I think the way the numbers work, on an average ITF one person on the team might get a purple.
Random number generator is a harsh mistress.

Indeed it does affect +regeneration powers. Also, since it's treated like an enhancement in the power, it affects powers like Reconstruction just fine. (This power is not affected by heal set bonuses because it also grants resistance.)
My main is broadsword/regen. 33% to recharge and 33% to heal? OMG OMG OMG!

Did you try verifying files? That would be the first step if you suspect a corrupted file. When you're logging in, one of the buttons gives you the option to "Verify All Files".

Correct. Because you don't need to select any of the inherent powers (health, stamina, sprint, brawl). You get them automatically. You can SLOT them, but that happens in... um... 'Phase 2' of the respec.

Quote:Okay, maybe you do. But how do we know that?I really get annoyed when people doubt what I say. I know my software.
I can't count how many posts I've seen from people who were absolutely dead certain about something.... and completely wrong. And yeah, they got insulted too. Even though they were wrong. -
Well, a big part of it depends on your goals for the tank in question. I have one of each armor set so I have different ones built with different purposes in mind (damage for soloing, random teams, STF, etc).
With the -recharge debuff in Granite, a few extra attacks certainly couldn't hurt.
Personally, I'll be respec'ing to get the inherent Fitness and taking Maneuvers. But in my case, it's because I already have four LotG +recharge and four Gift of the Ancients +run speed. I want a fifth one of each and don't have a place to put them. I don't normally take Maneuvers on a tank. Only one of my tanks has it so far and it's because I had no clue what else to take. My dark/ tank took Maneuvers at level 49. -
The protester event gives you a temp power option: Molotov Cocktail. I haven't gotten the power yet as I have only done that event once for the badge. I've done the ghoul one 3 times already.
The Syndicate event gives you a 'Katana' temp power. I have gotten this one and it ain't no katana. You draw a curved sword in each hand - looks like two scimitars.
I don't know if either of those gives an alternate power if you take the other side. I haven't done them enough yet. -
Quote:And we apparently need to say to you the exact same thing we always say to people complaining that they never get (tips, purples, whatever).People need to stop whining so much. Getting your Alpha abilities isn't as hard as it seems.
"Random number generator is random."
Maybe you had an amazingly lucky run. Maybe it was average. We don't know yet. Accept that, for everyone getting incarnate shards in every mission, some people are getting NONE in that same span of time. Let's give it a month or so before we try to evaluate the drop rate. -

Quote:Half right. It reduced your END total by 50. That makes all your powers *SEEM* to cost twice as much. A power that used to cost 10 END still costs 10, but now it takes 20% of your bar instead of 10%.I noticed a power icon on my screen and clicked on it to find that I had the "Curse of Weariness", which apparently cuts END in half and makes all powers twice as expensive.
It USED to last that long but it was pretty onerous and there was a lot of complaining. It's much shorter now and someone else has already posted how to get rid of it immediately (assuming you bought the temp power in advance).Quote:Unfortunately, the info box told me that it would be around for another 56 minutes of real time, so my mission was ruined. I logged out for the night.
What is this, and why would anyone think this would be a good debuff for a character? Is this new?
Personally, yes, I think it's an excellent debuff. It's DIFFERENT. And it's very rare. Only Vanguard Sorcerors (whether named bosses or not) have it. -

Quote:I don't think it's incarnate-related. Or, if it is, it's not as simple as tips not dropping for incarnates.just one question, are you a incarnate? maybe the drops are broken for them.as now it has to check for shards to drop also?
1) I did the mission to become an incarnate.
2) Killed enemies outdoors to get a morality mission and changed alignment.
3) Started killing again to get tip missions and completed 5 tip missions quickly. (i.e. One right after the other since I would get at least one tip drop in every tip mission.) -
Additionally, some of the high levels TF's will give you a shard automatically at completion, but not all of them. The Shadow Shard TF's go to level 50 but do not give shards. However, fighting enemies who are 50 or higher gives you a chance to get shards.
As I recall, the ones that DO give shards automatically are:
Recluse / Statesman
Barracuda / Kahn
Lady Grey
Imperious
Cathedral of Pain Trial
Hamidon raid
I might have missed something as I listed those from memory. -

They also mentioned the possibility of doling them out one at a time with some of them being released BETWEEN issues.

Quote:1) It *IS* a choice. If you don't want to participate in the invasion, just get under cover or leave the zone. Standing under a train station will make you go unnoticed by the invaders. That is not really true see there is a purpose to missions, to leveling, to customization, but there doesnt seem to be a purpose behind that and why do we have to be forced into the rikti invasions it should be a choice,
2) It has a purpose. You can get the Elusive Mind accolade power, which makes you very tough against psi attacks. That's rare except for a handful of powersets. -
How did the tanks do? Someone posted a thread that tanks seem to get hosed on the Hami raids (i.e. ZERO shard drops).

Question: Your CPU and mobo support triple channel RAM but you've bought the RAM as a PAIR of stick instead of a set of 3. Is this on purpose?

Quote:Giving us the ability to set a virtual team size of 1-8, completely at our own discretion, was one of the biggest boons imaginable to farmers. They may interfere with farming as a side-effect of other changes, but they sure launched the Gravy Train with this change. You're free to believe that, but recognize that if you take the next step and say that because the devs allow farming, the devs must honor farming, you'd be wrong. Not in a debate sense, but simply in the sense that they won't, and no one should be surprised when they don't. As I said, they won't go too far out of their way to stop (non-exploitive) farming, but they also have no problem with interfering with it by side-effect.
That's what I mean when I say they do not encourage it. You can do it, but don't expect the devs to help, and don't expect the devs to worry about hurting the activity either. -
So, then we shouldn't mention that you can't even access a ton of stuff if you don't buy Going Rogue?
-
Quote:If you're even asking, then the answer is yes.My main question is whether I'm sacrificing too much for that psi defense.
My invuln, using just Dull Pain and Aid Self, can waltz through one of Mother Mayhem's all psi missions.
If you have any psi defense or resistance, you will crush psi enemies and hear the lamentations of their women.
