Quote:um... wait.As an aside, For natural origins there is a 35 vendor in Founder's Fall also. (Didn't know about the others so went there to get my IO's for my 33 scrapper..
)
Firstly, the Natural vendor in Founders is basically the exact equivalent of the Magic one in Brickstown. There is one for EACH origin.
Magic - Serafina, Brickstown
Natural - Agent Six, Founders
Science - Holsten Armitage, Brickstown
Technology - Mark IV, Founders
Mutant - Penny Preston, Founders
You can only go to the Natural contact and buy enhancements that you can use if you are Natural origin.
As for the second sentence, I imagine you meant to say SO's. You can't buy IO's from anywhere except the market or a crafting table (or a player). -
A lot. I'll be organizing at least 8 for my SG (TF's and times are already posted on our global channel for the first 6). I have two others planned also (that I'm not organizing). So that's 10 so far.....
I have a new toon currently at level 12. Going to see how far I can get.Quote:Are you planning on starting (a) new character(s) or push a few lag behinds up to 50? -
Quote:No. You can get in at level 1 and, since there is an entrance in Atlas Park, it's also a popular place to visit a tailor.Rikti War Zone eh... don't you have to be at least 35 to get in there?
The vendor inside the Midnighter Club sells them also and you can get in there (once you do the arc) at level 10 (assuming we're talking about blue side). -

Quote:You need to do what they did to Major Winchester on MASH - they switched his clothes so he thought he was gaining weight.I've also been moving things in Samuel's room around. You know, like putting the stabler on the other side of the desk, switching the contents of dresser drawers, mismatching socks, etc. Next week, going to start changing the homepage on his web browser and drinking his all his milk then putting the empty jug back in the fridge.

As I recall, the bit ended with the line, "Next week he starts getting taller." -

Quote:Let me rephrase so its clear, I have no issues with RTTC in PvE. But, its crippling in PvP, we have several powers that function differently PvE vs PvP. Just remove the -tohit from the PvP version. The thread was started to ask a question about how the power works - not to crusade for a change. What I think Scooby meant was, if you want the power changed, either go to the Suggestions thread or PM a dev. You're in the wrong place.Quote:I understand. Your house is on fire. But this is a hospital. We can't help you. You should go talk to the fire department down the block.

The CPU looks good.
The motherboard looks good.
I'm not familiar with that brand of memory and couldn't find those exact modules on Gigabyte's compatibility list. If you're sure they're compatible, and you know it's a decent brand, then you're good to go.
CoH runs fine with Windows 7. I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. Whichever version of Win7 you get, make sure you install the 64 bit so you can access all that memory. -
Quote:However, they repeatedly took me to -100% defense on a number of occasions, but never PAST that number. My impression is that was a limit and they had the capability to take me lower. That suggests they could have put a bit more hurt on the SR.Remember, Invuln only has 50% Defense Debuff Resistance. SR has 95%. So if an Invuln gets debuffed from 50% to -100%, a SR in the same situation drops from 50% to only 35% - a single small purple inspiration will put you back above the softcap. And the cascade will take a lot longer, because if that was, say, 15 debuffs at a base 20% (reduced to 10% for Invuln and 1% for SR), then even one debuff makes the Invuln, even with a 5% buffer, drop below the softcap, while the SR can take up to 5 debuffs before the enemy's chance to hit rises from the 5% floor.

Quote:Indeed. One of my relatives was visiting England and was traveling with a native. My relative saw a gas price, converted it to dollars, and commented, "I thought gas was more expensive over here. That price isn't too much higher than ours."This. I've been hearing for years about how much more expensive gas is in Europe, at least.
The native advised, "In the U.S. gas is priced per gallon. That price is PER LITER."
Gas is much cheaper than the U.S. in a handful of oil-producing nations because they subsidize it - and really screw up their market in the process. -
Quote:I agree. Supers generally don't have all that stuff in their HOME. The only 'teleporter' I would allow would be a base portal. Lots of supers have a quick way to reach the SG base, whether it's a personal one (like Batman) or a team one. While we do want people to get involved in the creative process of building, we also want people to join SG's, not alienate themselves from them. SG's need to be made viable again.
To make the personal apartment appealing, include the costume & trophy display, and I think one salvage rack could be allowed there... but no enhancies, crafting, or TPs. -
Quote:Perhaps setting one's title as Pilot would keep the title even though the badge itself would turn to Grounded? That may be a workaround for heroes who want to be pilots. Anyone able to test this idea?Which doesn't really tell us anything. Changing gender and changing alignment are two completely different systems.Quote:Unfortunately the titles are dynamic. I tried it with a gender-specific badge 'Pumpkin Queen' and switched to a male build where it immediately switched to 'Pumpkin King'.
Regarding setting the badge title, then changing alignment, I heard from someone I know that it DOES work. HOWEVER, this was a while ago. It may have been fixed by now since this is obviously not 'working as intended'. -
1. SG leader with Raid teleporter and mission computer
Yes.
2. Participating members do not need to be in the same SG. They can enter the instance from their own SG Raid Telelporter once they are added to the team.
Yes and no. They don't need to be in the same SG, but they all have to enter from the same base. That means they all have to be able to ENTER the same base. Firstly, if it's a blue side base, they must be either HERO or VIGILANTE alignment. Also, they must:
- Either be a member of the SG with the raid teleporter...
OR be on a team with the team leader being in that SG...
OR be in an SG that is coalitioned with that SG.
3. A maximum of 8 can enter any instance.
A maximum of *24* can enter the instance.
4. Any levels can enter the CoP.
Dunno, but the enemy levels are fixed so if you go in with a bunch of level 40's it would be really really bad.
What is this about 3 leaders? I entered it by myself last week. Can't I just build a team of 8 and do this?
Well, I don't know the smallest number that have completed it, but I have been on more than one raid that had 24 players and still failed. I SERIOUSLY doubt that eight could do it. Perhaps if you had 8 toons all normally capable of soloing AV's. -
Quote:The game is definitely active. It was never in danger of dying and it's seen a significant increase in activity lately with some of the updates.Hi guys Just wanted to know if this game is dead or not i know DC universe just came out but my computer sucks and i cant run it. Im sick of WOW and Guild wars and I just cant get into eve online so am i still goin to be able to find groups to run with and all?
On the down side, I have no idea of the hardware requirements for DCUO but I do know that this game requires more powerful hardware than WoW. I hope your computer can handle it. -
Quote:(shrug) I soloed this on my scrapper before I even knew how the bifurcations worked. I just beat him down. Anyone with high damage output can put the smackdown on him before his regen becomes an issue. You have to kill the bifurcations in order to kill him. If you just target him and blast away, you will never kill him.
This encounter seems to be designed specifically to be difficult for melee characters, since they have to run all over the room to get to the clones. A blaster or even a defender can switch targets and move very little to target the bifurcations, so it tends to be easier for them.
Was gonna suggest getting help but, reading later posts, it sounds like you already did.Quote:Well, at this point it's a no go. I get to Trap Door and cannot get past him. Nope. NOt a bit. Took me about a dozen deaths to get TO him, and I can't scratch him at all. Doesn't appear to lose a single HP. Sigh. Oh well.
I did it on my fire/kin controller and it was pretty hard. That was only the second guy I soloed it on and decided to just get a team after that. -

I think that, in most cases, Maneuvers doesn't give a tank enough benefit for the END cost. One exception: my shield tank, since he already has a power that gives defense to teammates (Grant Cover).
I also took it on my stone tank, but only to mule my fifth LotG +recharge and GotA +run speed. He never turns it on. -
Was that on the test server?

The name I got that I was surprised was available was on my second toon, a technology tanker: Alloy. I thought that was so obvious for a guy in powered armor. I was also surprised that I got Captain Freem right after that April Fool's Day announcement. -
We can't really answer that with a number of days or weeks. The best way to measure is by number of hours played. You can check how many hours you have played a particular toon by walking up to any citizen whose name begins with the letter M and clicking on them.
There was a lot of discussion about this at least a year ago and the consensus, AT THAT TIME, was between 200 and 250 hours was pretty typical. Since then, there was 'xp smoothing' and some other reward changes so the *AVERAGE* player should hit 50 a bit quicker now - perhaps 160-200 hours?
Those numbers assume "typical" play - i.e. some chatting with friends, spending time at the consignment house, doing some exploring, etc. Someone in a hurry to hit 50 could do it in a LOT less hours..... but would it be fun? -

Quote:What about the memory. 4 gb or 8? I plan on upgrading to win7. I know the 64 bit version will see/use more memory but I only have 2 gigs now so 4 is a nice upgrade for me. Is 8 or more the way to go for gaming though since the board can hold 16? I see ultra mode is only asking for 4Looking at a different section of that survey, we see the following breakdown for RAM:Quote:Anyways, I kind of have a hard time "telling" anybody they need more than 4gb of ram. The reason why can be found here: http://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey/
2GB - 22%
3GB - 28%
4GB - 26%
5 or more - 16%
So, currently, 4GB is at the high end for most GAMING systems out there. Having said that, different people may actually need more. If you're asking, you probably don't. If you were running things that required a lot of memory, you'd know it.
I have 8GB. For starters, I run SETI@home and Rosetta@home. These apps load a chunk of data to crunch and can take up 80-200MB and I run EIGHT INSTANCES at all times. Currently also running: a temp monitor, 4 instances of Notepad, Excel, Firefox, an IM client, anti-virus, anti-malware and a bandwidth monitor. I also need to be able to simultaneously run two instances of CoH (I have 2 accounts) plus Photoshop (which is what I use on screenshots).
Running all that in 2GB (on my last computer) kind of sucked. Now, when I'm running all that stuff, my RAM usage typically runs about 6 - 6.5GB. So if you're going to run one game at a time, and nothing more demanding than that, 4GB is PLENTY.
