Quote:umm.... it EXACTLY answers the question you posted. I followed the link and it lists the badges that are restricted by alignment. Did you mean to ask something different?Snow, ty for the link. Unfortunately it doesn't answer the question
Can you provide an answer here possibly??
And getting sarcastic with people who are trying to help is always a good plan. <sigh>Quote:I will provide some feedback to that post here for you Snow, hopefully becomes "tit-for-tat" and not "fall on death ears" like my question.
This supposed to be a Wiki? I.e. organic and "Living" ? Cause this shows how far out of date: -
And you can get rares from boss defeats, to confuse the matter even further.

Quote:The distribution seemed better in that limited sample. I got several Commons, for a change. I still got an awful lot of Uncommons. At least I can now downgrade them.I ran Leagues for about 7 hours straight after dinner. I couldn't tell you how many. I saw no reports of 10 threads tables, but my friend the MM, previously consigned to Commons and Uncommons exclusively over at least dozens of runs, picked up a Very Rare.
I was there for that. I said we need to put a lot of smilies on our sentences!Quote:I'd say ask Golden Girl, since she was there for a number of them, but even I know how unlikely it is for anyone to believe her on here. I actually made a joke about it when I invited her to the League. "I had to invite GG. We can pretend like it's the forums and tell her she's wrong about everything."
BTW, the only time I've ever gotten the 10 thread table, on any character, was on two runs where I DC'ed multiple times. Even 8-10 trips to the hospital didn't seem to hurt my 'participation rating'. -
Quote:No. What Baryonyx said is that, once you hit a certain level of 'participation' you move off the '10 thread consolation table' and get the regular (common/uncommon/rare/very rare) tables. WHICH table you get is RANDOM.I believe the quote your referencing was clearly stated by one of the senior designers (Berionyx).
Basically: The more you participate, the higher tier table you gain access to, at the end, you randomly receive one of the tables up to the tier you've opened that trial.
To restate: Participation too low gets you the 10 thread table. Participation above that level gets you one of the others, DETERMINED RANDOMLY. -
Quote:All the servers are like that.I know we need to unlock our Incarnate abilities (Fortunately the server we are going to has trials running almost constantly day and night we can jump into).

First, you should do the arc from Mender Ramiel in Ouroboros to unlock your 'Alpha Slot'. You will then be able to earn 'shards' from just about any activity. Just let them accumulate for now while you learn how the system works.
The other slots are unlocked in the two new trials. Go to this page on Paragonwiki.com to read up on the Incarnate system. Different characters are likely to be interested in certain powers. You don't want to be running the Lambda trial if it doesn't unlock the power you're absolutely dying for.
Edit: You should probably also visit the forum section for whichever server you are on and make a 'Hello' post like you did here. They can tell you about what global channels are useful on each server and anything that server does differently. For example, some servers mostly run the Incarnate trials from Pocket D while others work from the Rikti War Zone. -

Yes, the League chat sound effect was added yesterday.
Initially, I didn't care for it. After a couple hours, it didn't seem any more intrusive than the team chat sound. -
Known bug. They intermittently cut in and out.

I noticed that. No mention when it was on Test; no mention in the patch notes going live. It's possible (hope hope) that they realized this would be an onerous change and decided not to go through with it.

When farming for rep for the badge, we would typically have 6-10 players so it was a bit of a social event. Doing it alone (or with just 2 people) would be awfully tedious.

Quote:Oh... and some people might deliberately be looking for terrain features that will let them 'scrape off' an auto-follow character. Its really not a great idea to auto follow anyone. There will be times where that tank you are following makes a sharp turn in a building or especially in a COT Cave and suddenly your character is bashing its head against a wall trying to turn and follow.

Unless, of course, they gave warning. "Have to AFK a minute. Putting so-and-so on auto-follow." -
Quote:I know all those things and I just TOLD you what teams could do differently: treat the side area as 'defeat all' rather than 'collect 10 glowies'.Once the fix for the badge goes in on tomorrows patch you are going to have to make 3 runs to get the MO badge.
On one run you get all of the acids and 0 of the grenades while using no temps to beat Marauder.
On another run you get all grenades and 0 of the acids while using none on Marauder.
Then the last run you get all 20 temps and still use none.
On two of those runs your going to have time left over that you have to wait out before Marauder spawns.
If you do nothing for that time your killing your participation rating and trapping yourself into a thread table just for the badge.
I know that right now on live you just go to town and get all the temps don't have to worry bout the timer running down because after 10 seconds the exit port happens and Marauder shows up but once the fix is made your going to have time left over that you have to wait out
So I am more wondering what teams are planning to do in the future than what they do now.
And, realistically, if people are actually running Lambda three times in this 'aberrant' fashion to get these annoying badges, I doubt that the salvage drops are their highest priority. -
Quote:Are you aware that leaving the turrets active awards a badge?(another thing that makes a difference is disabling towers during keep em seperated on the baf, but that just makes me angry because you have no choice, 1:40 people will do that, watching the other 39 get mowed down time and time again makes the job feel too forced and frustrating.)

Quote:I implied nothing. I stated that your claims were factually incorrect and explained why. I dislike seeing false statements on the forums as it could cause new/inexperienced players to be misinformed.Guess you can play lawyer with words...
You imply that because one set of LTs is really out of wack, that there is no issue at all, and all is fair and correct.
Had you said something like, "I felt useless because these guys ignored my mez." that would be fine. But you said that your powers were "essentially disabled", which was not true.
And now you're exaggerating. ONE enemy type in ONE part of the trial has this defense. And that makes your character "garbage" for the entire trial? Bull.Quote:I can see your technicallity in a very close minded sense of a way, the controller's mez has been and still is MAG-3, thus it never changed, talking about a weasel view here too, ha ha ha. The mob MAG resistance went from a 2 to heck of a lot, beyond dominace ranges; therefore the Controller and Dominator was not intrinsically nurfed, but their environmental performance in BAF went to the garbage instead. -
Well, the normal tactic seems to be to focus on the containers and leave loads of mobs wandering around. If you are only working on one side, I would think you should trash anything that moves.

Quote:None of the above.Would it be better to autopower Healing Aura, or Clear Mind.
Putting Healing Aura on auto-fire is generally met with scorn and derision (as you experienced) because the person doing it is regard as, AT BEST, only marginally competent. My experience in-game generally supports this view.
I've seen people with Healing Aura on auto-fire run their END down to zero, rendering them useless. When this is pointed out to them, they insist auto-firing it is a good tactic despite the obvious evidence to the contrary.
The only time I put Healing Aura on auto-fire is in a mass combat situation since I can't see the hit point bars of the people not on my team and it's a safe bet someone near me is injured. Examples of mass combat would be Mothership raids, Hamidon raids and multiple teams fighting a Giant Monster. Even though the League system would allow you to see everyone's hit points, I think it's still a valid move in the Incarnate trials since there are generally an army of pets contributing damage. -
Bravo on actually thinking about back-ups. Someone in my office recently had the hard drive fail on their home computer. I asked if she had back-ups. She said no, because the computer didn't have anything important except for photos and some documents. I said, "So it DID have something important."
Anyway, I use the paid version of WinZip. It has nice scheduling and automation capability and allows me to create encrypted back-ups since I store a copy off-site, in case the house burns down.
Yes, I'm paranoid about back-ups. As a result, I have NEVER lost more than an hours worth or work, either at home of work. Automate the process as much as possible so you can't forget or neglect it. -
Unfortunately, it won't add you to trials that merely have room. It only pulls new players from the queue if the league falls below the minimum size to start the trial.
