They just need to realign their expectations. Under the current system, if you stop paying, you have nothing. Under the new system, you can stop paying and still have SOMETHING. This is an improvement. Any dissatisfaction is a result of unreasonable/unrealistic expectations.

Furthermore, there are valid software/hardware reasons for specifically restricting controllers and masterminds - the pets cause a performance hit for everyone nearby.


Let me summarize:
If you are paying now, and continue to pay under the new system, you lose nothing and gain some stuff. Win.

If you are paying now and let your subscription lapse, you can't play your characters at all. Under the new system, you will be able to play some characters and have other restrictions. But you get MORE than you currently get - a lot more. Win.

Yes. You're focusing on how fast you level. As long as that is foremost in your mind, the game will seem tedious and grinding. If you focus on enjoying the gameplay, the speed at which you level will seem irrelevant.

At any given time, I have 2-3 characters that I focus on and play regularly. When one hits 50, I start a new one. I don't play villains much, so I have been working on a stalker for probably a year. I've been playing over 6 years and have just 3 villains at 50. I have 20 heroes at level 50.

From your post, it sounds like you PREFER to switch around between a lot of different characters, but you feel you SHOULD have some at 50. Why? If your choice is to play lots of different characters, that's fine. If you want to get one to 50, then just do it. If it doesn't feel fun, DON'T DO IT. There's no right way to play the game (as long as you're not griefing other players).

Your entire train of thought is messed up.

You are currently paying a subscription fee and have access to MM's.
If you continue paying, you will continue to have access to MM's.
If you let your sub lapse today, you get NOTHING! No MM's or any AT, so the new system is an improvement.
IT'S THAT SIMPLE!

If you *CHOOSE* to stop paying, then you may or may not have access to MM's. But that's YOUR CHOICE. The way it is now, if you stop paying, you get NOTHING. So this is an improvement and all the whining and sense of entitlement is really silly. You're paying now to have MM's. If you keep paying, you keep your MM's. If you stop paying, you get whatever they feel like giving you for free. Deal.

Why not? It's simply another way to reach present and former players. After all, they're answering questions here EVERY SINGLE DAY already.

Your scenario is possible, but you need to adjust how you classify those 10 'additional' slots. when you go to VIP. They are not 10 "additional" slots. The base number of slots on every server is adjusted. In your scenario, the player would get no additional slots on Virtue because you can not exceed 36. There would no "spillover" to other servers, because the upgrade does not give you 'additional' slots; it adjusts the base number of slots per server.

Simplistic and nonsensical question. You seem to be assuming that meeting someone in real life DOES let you know if you can trust them or not.
