Quote:The fix is already on the test server. It's a bug in the last patch. They know about it and hopefully can fix it soon.

Fixed zoom in for head and upper body in character creator -
Quote:3) DO NOT LEAVE THE STUFF IN EMAIL.And just as a "best practices" when actively transferring things by global email;
-Send a 'blank' email to your global @name (messages need something in the subject line and body; I use "reply to send to self" in both). This should send you the blank mail, and it will sit in your inbox. To send anything to your other characters, reply to the blank, and drag+drop items and/or input the inf amount to be transferred. This helps reduce the likelihood of a typo sending your stuff to someone else.
-If you are transferring/storing a large sum of inf or expensive recipes or enhancements via email, it may not be a bad idea to keep an external record of it; Errors do occasionally happen, and if you need to contact support about it, it can help them restore your stuff if you tell them exactly what vanished.
Sometimes we have server sneezes and things stored in the email box go bye-bye. Send the item, log to the other character, and claim it. -

Quote:Responsibility is irrelevant. They said for account wide things the items would be grayed out. For the others I fail to see why it is their responsibility.
It is a COMMON, DESIRED and HELPFUL feature. That's all that matters. By the current standards of e-commerce, lacking that feature makes a site deficient. -

Quote:And THERE is the wet blanket aspect. Okay, so for you, this is no big deal. Accordingly, you make a long post in detail about why it's not a big deal to you and wonder why anyone would care. Have you ever heard the phrase, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything."?If you love these ideas, good for you. For me, big deal. I don't think we will see a new poster reply saying thanks,
Expressing a difference of opinion is valid. Spending a paragraph to say, "Who cares?" is a waste of time.
And we don't care if anyone says thank you. We don't post helpful stuff here in the hopes of adulation or recognition. -
And we need it to work like the costume editor, where you can save the costume from one character and load it on another.

Management is not responsible if you get lost and die of starvation somewhere in the base. On a related note, if you stumble across a decaying corpse, please let us know so we can get it cleaned up.

Quote:I'm not sure what triggers that. Some people (myself included) have been able to make 3 purchases in one day. Others (myself included) have been limited to 1. Maybe it's based on the phases of the Moon. What I really don't understand is the limit of one transaction per 24 hour period.
Quote:PS: By the way, I'm not sure about banks in the States but I have (In Australia) had my bank call me three times over the life of my CC (about 2 years now) to ask me about what they considered "suspect charges"
Quote:That's cool but the important thing to remember is that players won't be buying items directly from the store when Freedom launches. We will buy Paragon Points instead. (or use the points given for having an active sub)
"Darn, I want that item also. I need more points."
*tries to buy 800 more and is denied*

Daddy? How do you pronounce PBAOE?
What does that mean?

Quote:Oh, one point that just occurred to me.Based on my experience playing other MMO's, it would seem to me that being able to buy powers or abilities instead of earning them is kind of a game breaker.
You don't earn the powersets at all. You get to pick from a huge list of available powersets during character creation. At that point, you haven't even finished the character yet, so you have done nothing to earn anything. Buying powersets just gives you a bigger list to choose from. -

Except once you get an incarnate level shift, that statement is false. At least, for purpose of drops, which is what the thread is about. A level 50 minion will con blue to a level-shifted 50. But, since they are both officially level 50, the minion can drop shards.

Quote:There are numerous credit cards available with no fees and no interest if you pay the outstanding balance when you get the bill. I have four of them. I have ZERO cards with fees. Some will hit you with an inactivity fee if you don't use it at least once per year (which shouldn't be hard to do).Instances where a credit card would be of any use to me are few and far between; and I don't much care for the interest and fees attached to one.
Quote:Then I noticed some stores selling Visa "prepaid" cards that come loaded with a certain amount of money, and once that's used up, you pitch the card.
I don't want to shell out for one of these cards and find out I wasted the money. Since it's not entirely clear from the NCSoft store's description, are these cards accepted? Can I use one to buy costume boosters (up to the value of the card)?
Quote:(Oh, and are taxes applied to the transaction?) -
Have you actually grabbed a PBAoE IO while on that screen to see if the power lights up to accept it? Maybe it's a text error and not a power IO set error.

One aspect of the memory leak that I don't see mentioned here: the NC Launcher is known to have a memory leak. Are you shutting that down? One less memory leak may help.

Quote:We all know this.First off, your basic premise is flawed. You are starting with something: seven years of experience (from your forum join date, assuming that your subscription is contiguous). That is more valuable than just about anything.
The point is, "Here is what I accomplished, based on my experience, starting with nothing tangible." It's an invitation to others to benefit from someone else's experiences. In real life, you can learn from the mistakes of others, as well as your own mistakes. And you can benefit from guidance from those who are more knowledgeable than yourself. -
Quote:Yep. And, since I'm accustomed to spending an extra $40-50 per year on expansions/boosters/etc, I'll probably keep spending that much extra on other cool stuff.VIPs get 4800 points a year at minimum. That's $60 worth of points, 3 times what you said you're already willing to spend on Boosters.

Quote:OMG, that is BRILLIANT!Impressive. Moooost impressive. But neither he nor the Old Spice Guy are as sexy as THIS GUY.

Quote:No. Unless someone is in range, or on a team/league and anywhere in the same zone, they can not see:Is there some command or interface that I'm unaware of that lets you list personal info from across zones?
- if you are in an SG.
- your picture, bio, badges, etc.
So, people are probably just spamming invites based on the search window. If you're already in an SG, they get an error message. -

Quote:I imagine someone considered the pros and cons. Online credit card fraud is a huge problem.Oh well, seems like bad business sense to me, but if that's the way it works not much I can do about it. Thanks for the info guys.
Quote:Once CoH Freedom launches later this year, though, all purchases will be handled directly through the in-game store, so this wait period should no longer be an issue. -
