    Wouldn't it just be easier to put in your own weight for what you THINK it should be?
    The calculation is based on the average density on human flesh. It's just a guideline, multiply it by the ratio of lead/flesh (approx 10, I quess) if you want a number for your lead character.

    I actually think the opposite, that only people who want weak/gimped characters would use low physique. Nearly all females melees would use the top quarter of the physique slider, in its current configuration.
  3. I think the character creation interface should have a numeric feedback on height and weight. It should be visible on body creation and while adjusting sliders.

    That way I could have realistic stats in my character bios. I know I can ask something like seven friends, remove the lowest and highest estimate, and average the remaining. But I think that most people have more trouble estimating the mass of a computer generated human than an actual human.
  4. Make the new character a brother or sister to your current one. Think of two siblings having same ambitions, but using different ways to achieve it. Or you can make the new character the child/disciple of your old, inheriting and perfecting his/her way of life.
    Another bonus is that you get a hard lore connection from the very beginning.
  5. Capitalism is when you buy a SO for a few K at the auction house, because the supply is far greater than demand for SOs. It is also when you pay several M at market for rare stuff with high demand.

    In addition, a friendly contact would likely sell stuff at a discount. Many companies have reward systems, where you get benefits if you are a trustworthy member.

    Forum Issue

    It sometimes forget my login within a minute, sometimes it keep it for half an hour or something. Ctrl+a, ctrl+c is my friend, regardless how little time has passed.
  7. These are the rules I live by:

    * Every character should have a background story, although a short/vague one is okay at low levels
    * Concept first
    * Use appropriate costumes if available: Keyes? Radiation suite. Defeated? Trashed clothes, lividity. Pocket D? Party outfit. Crossing waters? Swimsuit. Cold weather? Winter clothing.
    * Be prepared to change your tactics if you die or suspect that you are messing things up.
    * Don't be rude to people who try to find teams.
    * Respond to tells.
    * Don't join task forces if you don't have the time to complete it.
    * Never give out your real name, or force others to give out theirs.
    * Unless otherwise specified, I am in-character while playing.
    * If you are unsure how to lead stuff, say it and offer the leader role to another.
  8. I have invited a friend to play City of Heroes. We did some AE arcs, and saw that people using default channel settings miss two channels that are required for a rich experience:
    * NPC dialog (for NPS's saying stuff).
    * The channel that display what is written in "Boss defeated text".

    I suggest that those channels are turned on by default. It's far from obvious to new players which channels they have to switch on in order to get the best AE experience.
  9. Apacci (I assume she's the lady in black), slightly
  10. I have a birthday on some of my characters. While I rarely mention their exact age, I use it internally when building their background story. The exception is Sonja Johnson who got her mutation when her embryo was hit by neutrinos from Supernova 1987A.
    Age of my human toons span from 19 to 80
  11. One thing you should do in your low 40s is getting the Anarchist badge from the Founders Fall mayhem mission. You need it for the Invader accolade. If you outlevel it, it can be tricky to find anyone in appropriate level range due to soloism and competition from task forces.
    Story arcs in 40s are usually fun, some example include the patron ones, Vernon von Grun and Television.
  12. I don't get what you mean, since all iTrials have accolades already.

    For other accolades like High Pain Threshold, a big No from me.
  13. Rerolling a 50 is not an option to me. Character attachment is way too large for that.

    When new powersets arrive that match what I actually wanted for character concept, I prefer to make a sibling. For instance, Sonja Johnson is my Martial Arts stalker, and if I actually wanted something like Street Justice, which is now available, I would roll a new stalker with that powerset, and call her Anna Johnson or something. That way, even if I rarely play Sonja in the future, I have a sibling relationship in my character lore.

    If I would run out of slots, and have no experimental discontinued lowbie, I would buy more slots instead of deleting a lvl 50.
  14. Thanks for your responses. I refudiate my original suggestions because they are more perceived as coercive than I originally thought.
  15. I have most of all my toons on Union server, red side. It used to be easy to find a team, or create one, regardless of level range. But today it's nearly impossible to find a team if you're in lower 30s for example.

    I have a couple of suggestion to address the problem:
    * Population unbalances can be solved by adding an option on top of server selection for new players, like "automatic". Then it choose the least populated server, to balance population.
    * Create a set of badges, that require completion of regular story arcs with a minimum setting of AV on, bosses ON. Yes, you can solo an AV if you're in the strongest one percent or something, but for the overwhelming majority, it means that you need to find a team.
    * Another set of badges that work like the mayhem mission exploration ones, which require you to get help from a player at lower level if you have out-leveled the content.
    * Both these sets should award accolades.
    * As accolade bonus, I suggest costume sets. If that clash with the current Paragon Market strategy, I think a permanent stat boost is fine, as with the Invader badge.
  16. What side do you pick more than others? Red

    What play style do you prefer? Team. Often melee, sometimes supportive, rarely ranged.

    What power set(s) do you favor? Electrical Melee, Energy Aura, Street Justice, Willpower, Soldiers, Pain domination.

    What zones do you like the most? Most ones are fine.

    Do you usually play as a male or female (word of hatred) ''toon''? 65% female, 30% male, 5% others.

    Views on Role Playing? All my toons are more or less RP, have a bio and all are connected in some way to a shared lore. Not all my toons are friends with each other, but thanks to the iron fist rule by Lenina, they rarely kill each other.
    I've changed the view of costumes recently, to take environment into account. For instance, I switch to a protective suite when doing Keyes, summer clothing in warm areas, winter clothing in cold ones etc. Thanks to the expansion of the costume slots, I expect to it running on my key toons within the next few days.

    Servers? Union.
  17. Some of my characters are politically themed:

    Right-wings:
    Intussusceptor (merc/poison mm) is a neo-conservative general, who support laissez-faire capitalism (I do), but also extensive military interventions that go way beyond George W Bush (I don't).
    Lenina (elec/nrg brute) is the leader of the Order of the Dark Sun, and a wealthy investor. The order bought a Greek island during the 2011 famine and declared it as an independent state. She have incorporated the ideas of Milton Friedman. Her villainous side is that she don't allow elections and have granted herself constitutional rights that basically allow her to do anything with anyone.
    Helge Green is a right-wing True Christian (think Landover Baptist Church) who support creationism and corporal punishment and want to ban Harry Potter.

    Left-wings:
    David Miscarriage (mind/psi dom) is an ex-Soviet expert in psionic warfare and a cult leader, opposed to "bourgeois" drugs, like treatments for ADHD, depression and diabetes.
    Skinny Perfection (zombie/dark mm) is an animal rights terrorist, who gone so far that she starve herself.

    Cutscenes

    I'm personally fine with most cutscenes. But I would prefer voice overs to them, and if possible, some additional speech emotes that make basic lipsync achievable.
  19. I actually don't agree with you. Maybe it's just me, but I think it's part of the realism that a majority of the drops aren't suitable for my currently played toon. If I only got drops that was evaluated against my character type (origin and power choices, or worse: common choices for my AT), I would experience it as "artificial luck", which I personally find weird. The market works fine for selling what you don't need and buy what you need, or why not give it or trade it with a teammate.

    I think it is similar to the immediate recharge of endurance and HP in Champions Online when you are considered out of combat. While I understand many experience it as a QoL improvement, I just experience it as too unrealistic.
  20. Anyone that match some of these points

    * Teamed recently with positive memories regarding RP, leadership, chat or performance
    * AT that might complement my powers
    * Good description in LFG
    * On my friend list
    * In my SG

    I was not patient enough to wait for Street Justice in AE, so I released it. Arc ID is 534641, two missions, many custom enemies. Suitable for solo players, final boss is an EB, rest of bosses are just bosses. Hope you like it.
  22. To me, God means Creator of a world. It could be the Creator as in the Scripture, or a scientist who spawned a Big Bang. It is a title, not something that require the power equal to x average humans.

    I usually consider a low level character as a human who developed rare talents, and higher levels as a superhero/supervillain. Origins matter of course, for instance a low level science origin is a supreme being who haven't mastered her powers yet. A low level magic is one who is his early years in witchcraft studies.
    Incarnates are incarnates. This means that in addition to "normal" super powers, they have more than one lifetime to develop their talents/powers, which of course matters.
  23. As far as I know, they are evaluating them at the moment in order to check if they are overpowered or underpowered on AE toons, and determining proper amount of rewards. But I really agree with you that they should be in AE arcs soon.
    I would personally not mind if rewards where temporary lowered during evaluation.

    Regarding the prices, I'm fine with them and think they are fair.

    If this is true, wouldn't just saying "Free Tibet!" or something pro-Falun Gong solve the problem? Gotta name a few pets that way

    Architect IOs

    I’ve found procs as a nice way to customize some powers; boxing with the kinetic melee knockdown proc make Lenina (elec/nrg brute) feel stronger.
    However, I would like to spice up some powers of some of my custom critters in the same way, with Lenina as a guest (boss, ally, hostage etc.) the most obvious example. It would be best accomplished by just giving a proc enchancent to a custom critter during editing. And yes, I want to be able to give my critters pool powers. The proc should not work on all powers, just the one you assign it too.

    In order to further personalize the critters, I suggest Architect IOs. You can’t slot them normally; just give them to your critters. That way, the can have effects that would be overpowered, underpowered, useless or unpopular for players, but fun for critters. Some examples that I would use include knockback buffs, chance for vomit, +downtime if knocked, chance for confuse, chance for sleep and fear. There should also be AOs that reduce some effects like knockback.

    Yes, you could create very tough or annoying enemies if you bought/collected enough normal procs or AOs, but I don’t see a problem with it. The same pencils you can use to create great art can be used to create bad art.
