AFAIK there isn't a fix.

But if you have trouble on shorter timescales than that, I suggest seeing if your browser clears cookies when closing or something like that. I know my Firefox has a setting to do that, maybe other browsers as well.
"Remember me" doesn't. Not reliably.

It sometimes forget my login within a minute, sometimes it keep it for half an hour or something. Ctrl+a, ctrl+c is my friend, regardless how little time has passed.

I am on a brand new, never been used, completely reinstalled system... and if I so much as close IE, then reopen it, the forum has forgotten me.
It is... annoying, to be sure. And I am just flatly putting it out there: They are.. we'll say 'misinforming'.. us in regards to the 'timeout' thing. It is no such thing, or what I just described *CANNOT* happen.
In case it matters, yes, I am a programmer as part of my job functions, so I pretty much know they're not telling us things rightly. However, they are probably just passing along misinformation from the makers of this board, VBulletin, which is Jelsoft, as likely it's just installed, so whatever Jelsoft says, that's what the Mods/Engineers have to say here.
Jelsoft is at fault here, most likely. Or maybe not... as it happens other forums I visit with vBulletin, do not exhibit this problem. Only here. That I go to, of course, I can't visit ALL of them..
It's likely to do with the fact they tie the forums into the main game accounts themselves, as opposed to just allowing someone to log in and get approved.
Whatever, it's really sort of tiring to hear excuses for this. But... things could be worse, so mostly I don't complain.
I just had to pump another couple of cents into this because I just redid the computer, and it's still happening. Therefore, it's not me, it's them, and I wanted to say so. Here's where to put it.

Interestingly, I never had this problem with WinXP.
I used to wonder what the heck folks were grousing about.
Since I've recently "upgraded" to Win7, I have to put in my login info every time.... doesn't matter how long it's been.
Using Firefox... always have.

For me? XP, 7, Vista, Win2000. And IE6, 7, 8 and 9. None of them remember. None. And Firefox never did either. Chrome doesn't either. None of them do.

It's been going on for a few years now. it's the main reason I barely come to the forum now.
Having to relog,multiple time,after almost,everything I click.Not fun.
It's even worse when it hapen when replying to something.like just now.
