P.A.C. - Political Action Characters

Being home from work today due to weather, I was toying with making a SOPA-themed character for some laughs. (Captain Blackout or something along those lines.)

It got me wondering how often other players make politically-themed characters, whether as satire or political statements?

Captain Blackout is a damn good name.

I had a heavy set old white guy in a grey suit with a combover and glasses who went by the name Shock Doctrine. He was a mercs/storm MM. But I got bored with him. I really couldn't find the humor to play him all that much anyways. So after six months of dust he got the bin in an afternoon of stable cleaning.

I try not to drag politics into the game. This is where I come to get away from real life for a while.

Now, having said that, making characters to make fun of IN GAME politicians... hmm, that I might be able to get behind.

I ran into someone in Praetoria who's background blamed all of Praetoria's problems on Obama.

Emperor Cole and the Hamidon were Obama's fault.

In 2008 (hmm, wonder why...) I came up with a concept I enjoyed at the time but not enough to really bother with it in the long run. Senator NoPants. His description was a patriotic denunciation of pantlessness and an affirmation of his own virtue, while all of his costumes represented various points in his life. War hero with no pants, astronaut with no pants (that one might get chilly), senator with no pants, et cetera. Kind of hard to stick with a one-joke character though.

Some of my characters are politically themed:

Right-wings:
Intussusceptor (merc/poison mm) is a neo-conservative general, who support laissez-faire capitalism (I do), but also extensive military interventions that go way beyond George W Bush (I don't).
Lenina (elec/nrg brute) is the leader of the Order of the Dark Sun, and a wealthy investor. The order bought a Greek island during the 2011 famine and declared it as an independent state. She have incorporated the ideas of Milton Friedman. Her villainous side is that she don't allow elections and have granted herself constitutional rights that basically allow her to do anything with anyone.
Helge Green is a right-wing True Christian (think Landover Baptist Church) who support creationism and corporal punishment and want to ban Harry Potter.

Left-wings:
David Miscarriage (mind/psi dom) is an ex-Soviet expert in psionic warfare and a cult leader, opposed to "bourgeois" drugs, like treatments for ADHD, depression and diabetes.
Skinny Perfection (zombie/dark mm) is an animal rights terrorist, who gone so far that she starve herself.
