If it is co-op, they could just continue the plot from Tin Mage II and have Arbiter Daos and Captain Dietrich along with their relative groups and Vanguard all in one base as an excuse for heroes and villains to be working together. Could have NPC chatter about how they can't believe they're all working together, and have it tie into vigilante and rogue stuff too. :3

Blue Steel's paragonwiki entry might help players catch up with him.
I do hope that the devs keep in mind the absurdity of Blue Steel's feats and somehow work that into his missions or whatever he does, haha. -
My ill/rad has Reactive Radial tier4 to give extra damage to my pets. Radiation will handle the -resist part on its own. While it's not incarnate related, try to add in the purple pet proc from Soulbound Alliegiance: Chance for Build Up somewhere in Phantom Army, since it's one of the few things which help boost up Phantom Army damage.
I went with Ion tier4 judgement with chance to hold instead, Reactive interface as stated above, Phantom lore pets for concept (phantom lore fits with phantom army, haha), and Barrier for ally rez for more teamplay. Really though, anything can fit your concept if required. -
I soloed a Winter Lord (not Lord Winter) using my Fire/Shield/Blaze scrapper, which doesn't use any -resistance or -regen attacks. While the Winter Lord's health barely moved while I was fighting it, it was a different story when my tier3 Cimeroran Lore pets (again, no -resist or -regen attacks from them either) came out and the Winter Lord's HP actually started dropping to around half way before they disappeared. In the 10 minutes I carried on fighting before they could be resummoned, Winter Lord's HP moved by like... barely anything, haha. Finally when I resummoned them, we knocked down Winter Lord's health down to zero.
So, what did I learn from this battle? Lore pet DPS is horrific. Also, if you don't take Cardiac (I took Agility), then your Lore pets can run out of endurance if they fight long enough.

Quote:I should mention setting up a solo/personal supergroup isn't solely for dualboxers. A lot of people do this to store their goods so that nobody else can take them, or simply for more storage space. It's sort of the CoX version of account storage prior to emails being able to store stuff and sent to yourself, but even so, the personal SGs win out due to being able to hold much more, barring certain things like recipes or influence. Emails even make it easier since you can send stuff to a character who's in the personal SG so they can store it (remember, you don't have to have every single character on your account in one SG, CoX doesn't limit you to joining one 'guild' per account). While dualboxing makes it easier to invite your own alts into your personal SG, people would also ask friends to help them invite other alts into their SG. :33) Last off, if youve never tried it, Dual-Accounting is great fun if you like to solo. Ive set up my own supergroup now with all my alts and already have a transporter with beacons and an inspiration rack where I like to store medium and large inspies for final battles. I have a lot of alts in a world of demon-slayers I'm playing in the style of Buffy / Winchester Brothers as part of the Super Group-- The V Helsing Group. Ive never had given this a shot without Dual-Accounting it.
Again, thanks for all of your help in the last post. Im having a blast and look forward to a week off with some major COH time.

Quote:It's very easy to find such places to use it for max targets on the Imperious Task Force on all the levels at least, haha. Like this place for example. The vorpal cone is nearly seven times greater in volume than the pyronic blast. If you can't hit 40 targets with it, you're not being imaginative enough. If nothing else, it should be fairly simple to hit more than 30 targets with it since two x8 spawns should often be at least 36 NPCs.
Can use it on Romulus' platform on both the third and fourth stage, inside the tunnels on the second, even where Sister Solaris is being held, and those are just the most obvious places to think of, haha.

Having dug out one of my old level 50s to play with having had an extended run on a Fire/Shield scrapper, I've been wondering about the Alpha for my Elec/Elec brute. At the moment it's at tier2 Spiritual, but I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to go for Agility. At higher tiers, it would keep the recharge aspect from Spiritual, and introduce endurance modification, allowing my Elec brute to start becoming more of a sapper-type character without having to slot end mods into my powers. However, I'd lose out on the heal part from Spiritual.
Decisions, decisions... any suggestions or advice? -
Quote:My ill/rad went with Ion when it was bugged at the time, though I didn't know that; I just took the one which looked the best conceptually to my character.Vorpal and Cryonic are both great cones. Cryonic has a chance to hold enemies, though. Might work for Controller.
When I pushed it to Tier 4, I went with Ion Radial Final Judgement for a chance to hold everything in sight. In retrospect, I could have gone with the one for damage, but I enjoy being a controller, so extra holds work just as well for me. -
I still find it hilarious that people are complaining about the upcoming changes.
Summed up, here's how it goes.
Simple, no? -
I want to see Recluse reacting to Statesman's death at the end of it all. If he didn't get the chance to off his nemesis himself, heads are gonna roll especially for the one who done it.

Quote:How about if Numina resurrects Statesman, admits she has feelings for him, and Positron stumbles into the scene and /e grief? And so help me God, if once all is said and done, they handwave him back with "good thing Numina was there to save him this time"...

I don't mind if she gets the faceplate as long as she keeps her hair, haha. Maybe make a 'supergirl' version of Statesman's outfit but with her liberty belt and Excalibur (why is the blade so short anyway?).
Prometheus explained quite a lot about what happens if an incarnate dies permanently and where the powers would go to. If Ms. Liberty absorbs Statesman's powers, that could be a fairly easy way to introduce a replacement for the figurehead of the game.
.. and revamp her powersets with Street Justice/Invulnerability/misc. Elec powers/misc. Super Strength powers/Ion Judgement! -
Quote:Should note that the damage to Assassin's Strike outside of Hide will be changed to superior damage (before, it's moderate damage outside of Hide) so it will become a powerful attack on its own, and each buff (Assassin's Focus) adds 33.3% chance of crit (so after three buffs, you're at 99.9% chance of doing critical damage with Assassin's Strike outside of Hide). For the most part this is already getting done.
AS will be usable outside of Hide without having an interrupt period, but will only do base damage (no hidden critical), then other stalker attacks will give you a buff that increases Assassin's Strike's chance of scoring a (Standard) critical hit.
Faster use for base damage outside of Hidden state, retains massive damage from Hide.
The only complaint I have about the upcoming Stalker change is that they're leaving it until issue 22. BLARGH I WANT IT NAO PLZ -
Quote:Oh man, I loved that quote. One random Shard mission on the villain side of things makes an offhand comment that "as if you're inside the mind of a god." I don't remember which mission it was, I don't recall what it was referring to or how it was worded, but this idea has stuck in my head since then, and it has informed my mind's eye view of what the Shard is.
Quote:It's strange.
This entire dimension is suffused with a mystic power.
As if it was all the construction of a single vast consciousness.
As if we were walking among the dreams of a god...

Pretty sure if the info was meant to be hidden, it would have been announced on the beta boards, much less being visible on live servers. Just to make it easier for people so they don't have to follow a link...
Quote:I'm kinda confused by why there's a 'normal' set and a 'superior' set? o_o Is it possible to slot both the normal and superior set into a build?Scrapper's Strike (6)

(6) Increases Smashing and Lethal resistance by 2.52%.
Special: Increases the Scrapper's chance to critically hit by 40%.
Note: I don't think this means it increases the crit chance to 20+/40+ percent. I think it will multiply the base crit chance by that amount (Example: 5% crit becomes 6% [5 * 1.2]). But, I don't know how it works for certain.
(edit: This is a reply to a question by peterpeter in the scrapper forum.) -
Quote:Hrm. Comparing it to TPN Trial... I think I saw Maelstrom use the old crane kick animation... but I'm not too sure, haha, there was a lot of lights flying about in the fight. :3

Haha, I finished a Minds of Mayhem trial on my ill/rad, slogging it out, debuffing everything to heck and healing people along with attacking, and I just got a common too. Enhanced chance my foot. XD

Quote:If we take an example from (japanese, haha) manga, Guts from Berserk wields a stupidly huge sword sometimes drawn as tall as himself. A lot of the time he does dodge attacks since the genre is horror and that means more fatal attacks and the like. Of course, he does take damage frequently, resists it, and recovers from it (eventually), so take that as you will for an example of either Invulnerability, Super Reflexes, or Willpower.Back on to the topic: I'm kind of having the same issue in deciding on a secondary.. I think I'm leaning towards WP due to the endurance issues, but I'm still not sure. SR is really sweet in the upper levels, and with a defense boosting attack it could make the early levels much easier, but it really seems odd to be throwing something so huge around and still managing to dodge anything. Honestly with the sword blades being so wide I could understand having shield defense using the flat of the blade as a shield between attacks.. lol
Incidently, most people I've seen have Willpower solely for less clicking and more recovery. Cardiac and Body Mastery might resolve those issues in other power sets, so your mileage may vary. :3 -
While some people have probably levelled it as quickly as possible, Titan Weapons was leaked onto the live servers for a very brief amount of time in early November, if I recall. Some people were lucky enough to snatch it before it was removed from the market and were allowed to roll and keep their alts with Titans instead of it being locked away until the official release date.
-
I think I remember that list. It was made way before people had ever heard of incarnate trials if I remember? :3
-
I have no idea why I called him that. XD
Playing the SSA #4, and ironically, they used my suggestion for Dominatrix but for another character, haha. -
Some of the more well-known NPCs could do with some updating, either in appearance or in powers. So, figured I would list ones which could do with make-overs, haha. Feel free to add to the list if you think of anything.
- Sister Psyche - she's made of default costume parts all over. Give her a unique hairstyle based on all the CG artwork we see of her so she has at least one unique part.
- Ms. Liberty - as there isn't any NPCs which use Street Justice yet, how about changing her power sets to use Street Justice? It would actually fit her pretty well, and a good alternative to Martial Arts. Let her keep her usual Electric moves Thunder Strike and Lightning Bolt, and give her a weak version of Ion Judgement (renamed) as a nice surprise, haha.
- Back Street Brawler - I was actually going to suggest that he gets Street Justice, but how about changing him into Willpower? Let Marauder keep Invulnerability since he's probably all steroid'd up and wouldn't turn his nose as enhancement drugs, but Brawler seems more of a 'natural' guy using special tech gloves to do enhanced damage and energy melee attacks.
- Manticore - I was going to suggest giving him Teleport since he is lacking any travel powers, but that might actually make his AI go wonky when he teleports due to suffering from a fear attack or something, gets lost, and can't return to the player. Would it be possible to maybe give him a NPC unsuppressed version of Ninja Run or something? Could do the same for Chimera as well.
- Lady Jane - Remove her Mastermind pistol attacks, and either give her the proper Dual Pistols attacks (basically like Twinshot), or give her a copy of Malta Gunslinger attacks (traditional shooting animations), and remove the teleport power.
- Maelstrom - Either change his melee attacks to energy like it says in his official bio, or alter his bio to reflect his martial arts ingame instead.
- Dominatrix - remove her "No Melee Attacks", and give her the three Demon Mastermind whip attacks recoloured or with a natural whip. It's pretty obvious, haha.
- Neuron - the 'normal' version of him (not the trial version), give him unsuppressed superspeed like Synapse to reflect his superspeed. It feels weird seeing him jog up to me when he sees me during Tina's arc. Also, for the trial version of Neuron, give him some fancy trail aura like Synapse's when he runs about, not the player super speed graphic.

Depends if you play with friends, if you notice it, and the circumstances. If it's in a sewers, I probably wouldn't say it, and if it's in a TF, then I'll probably say it if I notice it. Of course, gratz is dead in Incarnate trials, haha.
-
I designed my SS/FA build for doing trials and incarnate stuff, hehe. Sits at 33% s/l, so a single small purple can cap him. Fire isn't just good for killing AE stuff, it's good for killing anything. Even AVs don't like it.
Had to eat two purples or one medium to stand up to incarnate stuff though, unless there's team buffs around. I had to tank Siege and Nightstar at one point in a BAF because was a fairly small team (13 people), and most of us was level 50 or 50+1. Barely managed to defeat them with 15 seconds to go. XD -
That's just the normal trenchcoat they're wearing. Tier 2 reward if I remember correctly (previously three months vet badge).
