You're not forced to stop playing.
    • You can taunt.
    • You can use vet attacks. These are unaffected.
    • You can use Incarnate attacks. These are unaffected last I checked.
    • You can use temp powers.
    • You can heal up if need be.

I play a fair amount of SS, but I don't think anyone would refer to me as a min/maxer (or even really caring about the numbers.) And yet I think this would just make the set more... bland for me.

Yes, I actually *like* the rage crash. It's kind of a mini-game for me when I've got a pile of enemies burying me and I see that icon start flashing. No crash? It's like build up. Boring. With it? It's "Can I finish these before I'm down to doing 1 pt of damage or not?"

I am Hyperstrike and I endorse this post!

Mess with my Super Strength at your own peril!

  6. IO: Known quantity and dependable. But recovery can still be floored.

Proc: Can give you back End even when recovery floored, but you can't "depend" on it happening (see: random is random).

I think that's enough beta testing. Arcanaville 1.0 should be ready for go-live now.

You're still a piker compared to GoldenGirl.
Granted, her word count is probably lower and her emoticon count is probably something that'd make a nation-full of rabid text messagers blush.

Pfft. Know it. Learn it. LOVE IT! Outside of the game itself, it's the single greatest piece of CoH-related software extant. It's a great tool for letting you see what a build looks like BEFORE you

It also helps you know what to buy so you don't waste money, Inf, merits, etc on crap you don't need. And you WERE asking for pointers as to what you should buy.

Mids builds are the lingua franca for that.

I guess. It really adds almost nothing to your build (personally).
Rage is (or should be) DEEPLY perma. Which will keep you up near your damage cap a good chunk of the time.

So Assault is just a monster Endurance sink.

Tactics...well...as I've said before...built right, and an Inv Tank has ZERO need for it.

    So, again, an endurance sink.

Perma Rage should have you pretty much always hitting even at very high levels.

    There goes Tactics.

Vengeance? A tank should be keeping his/her squishies alive via combat control and unmitigated face-mashery. Not sobbing over a corpse, swearing vengeance.

That and you pretty much have to wait for someone to suicide to get any benefit from it.

Balance on this would be an absolute nightmare. Especially with "Option 2"

I can understand not wanting to lose badges, etc. But it's just far simpler to reroll/alt.

Yeah. But there's a lot to be said for internal consistency.

The devs have SPECIFICALLY pointed out the base system as THE ur-example of something that's so fragile and badly documented that they're actually afraid to touch it anymore, lest they destroy it utterly.
  19. Yeah. The Donald pays someone to beat you do death with a toupee he stole from William Shatner.
  20. Okay your choice actually looks pretty damn good from here.

One small tweak if you can fit it in your budget:

    Primary HD: 240GB SSD
Secondary (Data) HD: Your 2TB BTS upgrade HD.

This way you have a system that starts up 17 seconds after the BIOS hands off to the OS and apps that start up lightning fast. Plus, you then have a big storage drive that'll hold pretty much everything you need.

One other small thing to consider. Windows Home works for you now. But you're pretty much maxed as far as how much memory you can load into that system.
If you ever decide to throw in more, you'll need to go to Win7 Pro or Ultimate. I might suggest taking the $31 "bite" for pro now.
  21. Now think back to that long, long (longlonglong) ago day of your whelping!

    Wait.

    What are you doing?

    Put down that rocket launcher!

    No!

Wouldn't worry excessively about the psi hole on Invuln. Decent slotting will also give you a surfeit of (normally unused) positional defense that will help cover weaknesses like psi.

Let your teammate play whatever the heck they feel like.
