I have my own 5 mission arc that I run for tickets, but it usually takes me between 1.5 to 2 mins each mission - i.e. 8 to 10 mins for 7500 tickets.
I don't have bosses turned off - I'll have to try that to see if it speeds things up. Is it best to be at +1x8 or +0x8? -
1. Trollers
2. Scraps
3. Brutes
4. Blasters/Tanks
The rest of the archtypes = meh -
1. You will die in missions. Especially in low level teams. Don't snarl at your teammates and ragequit.
2. There is a star rating system in this game (global, not just per character). Certain behavior will be noted by other players and could make it harder for you to get teams in the future.
3. Stop and smell the roses. Don't rush to get to level 50 and miss all of the content.
4. It would probably be best to avoid AE farms until you have at least 1 level 50. You need to learn the mechanics of the game.
5. There are many chat channels that you can join to help you find teams and/or help with missions. -
1. Make every zone have a theme, and have a corresponding set of arcs that fit that theme. ( i.e. Faultline, Croatoa )
2. Make radio missions fit the theme of the zone.
3. Make every door in the zone unique and open into its own unique map.
The decision to make each zone just a collection of random doors into random maps was a poor one.
4. Make AE fully functional, so that you can do everything a Dev can do
with an arc.
5. Player housing ( personal secret bases that dont require a SG )
6. Revamp the base editor ( and forget the notion that it has anything to do with PVP - too many restrictions that come with that ) -
Quote:If you stand there and get half the raid sequestered and they wipe, YOU are also to blame. You get two rings, you back off - period.Great if everybody knows what there doing; and if they are paying attention to things other than the fight, and if they can even see that someone is in trouble under all the other attacks. Oh and if there's more than one tank. And if the others can successfully hold the AV in place. How often has all these conditions bin met. Meh 50-50. But there is no way you can know that they will be coming in to a battle.
Much the same argument was made in the Brute forum this is, almost, the exact same answer.
If a AV fallows you YOU are the one to blame. No one else. -
/signed for all of them, but dont hold your breath...
AE is on their list of "old stuff put on the back burner".
To add to your list:
- the ability to place mobs, objects, etc. at specific points on the map.
If the devs are that concerned about exploits, let them pick the points - I'd just like to know that object will always be at a specific place.
- Ability for the Boss to teleport away on defeat ( an option they have reserved to themselves thus far )
- Triggered Solo Boss ambushes and/or spawns at a specific point ( Example: LGTF at the end when Hero 1 spawns. There's also a story arc where Nemesis appears after you defeat a boss. )
- As an alternative to creating new maps, allow us to "Skin" existing maps.
- Ability to switch contacts as we progress through an arc.
- Ability to place music tracks at specific points on the map.
- Ability to select music tracks when talking to the contact. -
I'd be all for this set, as long as they provide a "non-glowie" option, and it's for melee toons.
I'd definitely want to make an Indiana Jones type character. -
No, I wouldn't.
Frankly, I'm worried about the direction this game is going, where you have to "pay" for virtually everything. If I shell out my monthly subscription, I should be getting enhancements as part of the deal - including alternate graphics/animations for powersets. -
People will do what is easiest, especially since the Devs have pretty much dictated that you have to repeat these trials ad-nauseum to get anything incarnate related.
Personally, I prefer LAM, but I'll join whatever is forming. -
Does anyone know of a thread detailing how you create the custom mobs for these farms? The primary is obviously fire, but what is their secondary?
I'm assuming the mobs are scraps and/or blasters. Also wondering if varying the mob type composition will maximize the number of tickets dropped per mob. -
Or they could just stop resetting the tray when you do a respec...

Quote:I havent received any emails detailing where said forums are located, and I did look for them before posting here.Question:
Why are you not posting this in the VIP Beta Feedback, where the devs will actually be LOOKING for said feedback, instead of S&I? I mean, that IS kind of the point of that section. Or at the very least sending the info in as a /bug (option: Suggestion/Feedback) ?
Quote:The VIP Beta Feedback doesn't appear on the forums if you have your settings bookmarked to City of Heroes Forums > English. So the OP probably didn't know he had access to them. -
1. Tutorial - interesting new Shivan mobs and storyline. Can't say I care for the destruction of my favorite starter zone. As a "tutorial", I dont think it's representative of the rest of the game. You get a series of chained objectives instead of actual missions, which isnt typical. Your xp bar never moves until halfway through the "mission" when you level.
The pace of the chained objectives seems a bit hurried, slow it down a bit.
The user should not see the "big shivan" from the prior group. I had to kill it twice.
2. New directional reticle - I don't care for it. It looks more stylish, but it's more obtrusive. Go back to the old targeting arrow, it's nice and simple and didnt need fixing.
3. Shared mission areas - there was one mission where you go into a Hellion cave and fight your way to a glowie. Shared mission areas are an incredibly bad idea. You always have competition for mobs and/or objectives, from what I've seen in other games, and you have the potential for griefing.
Keep the instanced paradigm please.
4. AP redesign. Looks nice, but I'd like the old buildings back please. Increase the resolution, definitely, but to change the entire layout of the zone? The new city hall, meh.
5. Emailed certifications - currently in the game, and I think it's a bad idea overall. Auto-certify please as you login characters. The only things I think that should be email certified are single instance items that you purchase, that can only be used by one character.
6. LAG - the lag on the beta server was worse than any iTrial I've been on. Optimization needs to be top priority, or the influx of F2P players will kill the game.
7. Mob AI - it might have beeen the lag, but mob AI seemed... off. If I stand in the middle of a group of mobs, they should all attack. The only reaction I received from mobs were the ones I attacked.
8. New character generation screens - very slick and stylish. It will take a while to get used to, but a fairly nice improvement.
9. Screen resolution - the Beta client starts out in the lowest resolution possible, which makes things awkward and somewhat distorted. Provide some mechanism on first startup to allow the user to pick their resolution. Going through the character creation on low resolution just didnt impress me. -
I generally dont care if a melee type goes off and do his own thing in mission 2 or mission 4.
In mission 1, when someone goes ahead, it throws my count off. The seers are freed in groups of 3, and I use that count to know when to progress to the next section.
Same thing in mission 3. If I lose track of one of the generals in the horde of mobs, I'll use the count to know when were done with the current general and/or group of elites. Ive seen ITFs where we've had to go back and hunt down elites after someone threw the count off.
It can definitely speed things up in mission 4, if a brute can handle the towers while the rest take down Rom. Again, depends on if the group has sufficient dps to do so. If you're taking down mobs in the courtyard while the group handles Rom, you're actually slowing things down, since the ambushes make a beeline to Rom's position and generally are mowed down by the AE. -
For the swan redesign, I think id keep the feather cloak, but lose the feathered costume. Make it solid white, with a wonder-woman type swan-styled bikini (white instead of gold). It also needs a belt.
-
I wouldnt make any huge changes to Serafina's costume, just needs to be more hi-res. Perhaps something like this:

Thanks for the info.
Really irks me when someone gives an invite - I've never met the person, grouped with them or anything. Yet somehow they want me in their SG. -
One thing I've wondered about for quite a while.
I'll be in a mission, or just standing around with no one in sight, when I'll suddenly get a tell and a random SG invite. They definitely can't see me.
I've seen nothing on the LFG search dialog that indicates SG membership status.
Is there some command or interface that I'm unaware of that lets you list personal info from across zones? If so, is there some way to hide this info? -
Rocket Pack
Helicopter Pack
Nemesis Steampunk Pack -
Ok, a couple more things.
"Allies" in missions
1. Allies should be given superspeed and should not be effected by your invisibility powers. In most missions with an ally, I just leave them behind - they slow me down.
2. Ally aggressiveness should be toned down. (i.e. narrow the aggro radius ) Even better - have them attack only mobs that you choose to attack.
Rescue/Kidnap Missions
I hate these missions with a passion.
1. Rescued npcs are slow .... as .... Christmas. You usually have to turn off even sprint to allow them to keep up. At a minimum, give them sprint speed.
2. Rescued npcs cannot see through your invisibility power. So you have to turn that off as well. On my squishies, thats usually my only defensive power. This really needs to change.
3. Rescued npcs tend to get stuck on a pebble in the path. Their pathing logic needs some enhancing.
Personally, I wish these missions would be phased out completely. I hate dragging an npc to the mission entrance. -
What would make me upset if I had to purchase?
1. New archtypes
2. New powersets
3. Access to new zones
4. Access to new trials or TFs
They can charge all they want to for fluff like costume pieces/auras, but integral parts of the game that arent part of a new full expansion ( i.e. new box ) should never be bought. -
-
Adding to the list:
- Missions with no clear objective ( i.e. "Investigate the Warehouse" ) - which leaves you the question - is that find a glowie? Kill All? Find a boss? All of the above?
- Missions that dont tell you they're "Kill All" until you finish the other objectives
- Inability to delete recipe stacks like you can with salvage.
- Power trays "resetting" after a respec. It should preserve placements of powers that you keep.
- Leagues being randomized after entering a trial. Private leagues should preserve both team composition and the leader. -
Quote:Add the green goblin's combat platform whatchmacallit.Okay. Requests for the following 'I fly by standing on something' props:
- A big chunk of rock
- A big chunk of ice
- If possible, an ice trail like Ice Man 'surfs' on
- An energy trail, something as simple as Prestige Power Slide but flying would be neat
- A flat, plain, metal disk
- A surfboard
- A broomstick could work if the feet are positioned right for it?
- A missile/rocket/torpedo thing
- A manhole cover and/or trashcan lid
- A shield (maybe even access to the full shield customization options? Pretty please?)
