9000 AE Tickets in ~9 Minutes

So on Freedom server I usually see people advertising ticket farms. I've run with some of them and I don't think some people do it the right way. They get 6-8 people in the group, run AE maps at 54/8 and kill all the mobs even after reaching 750 ticket or even 1500 tickets. I feel if I'm going to get tickets, I'm going to try to get it as fast as possible, and that usually means solo on my SS/Fire Brute.

I personally like using the FIRE! arc (#423253) on 51/8 as it's a 5 mission arc so you can just talk to the contact and re-enter without selecting the mission again from the AE console. I kill until I get 750 tickets, click the glowie for another 750 tickets, rinse and repeat. Roughly 9000 tickets in 9 minutes, sometimes a little quicker, sometimes a little slower.

The 9 minutes is overall, from selecting the mission, to load in and load out times, etc. There's probably room for improvement but so far I'm satisfied with this time.

I did mess up at the end worrying about my time and clicked the glowie too quick so overall it was 8974 tickets in 9 minutes 20 second.

Yeah solo is always best.
Adding even just a second player forces bosses into the mix which slows you down considerably.

That's some hardcore farming right there.

You should get an insperation combiner and you can speed that up a bunch by making reds and munching them.

People run group AE's because their archtypes can't solo farm. I don't think theres a right way.

Influence sellers probably do it better with multiple computers.

And factor in how long it took your character to get that much recharge 6 months? over a year? 7 years?

yea i run chick magnet farm for 7500 tix in about 6-7 mins.. its also a great map for fast tix runs. been making bank off it.

But i can also run that map at 4/8 in under 3 mins too for ez PL

and i use the red macros to make reds, works perfectly

About 1 month before I got it all together. Considering in June I made a forum post asking if Fiery Embrace was worth taking, I've come a long way. A non-purple build can still come very close with about 185% recharge for roughly 1.5bil, but you have to have Ageless Destiny to solve the endurance issues.

Non-purple build:

I have my own 5 mission arc that I run for tickets, but it usually takes me between 1.5 to 2 mins each mission - i.e. 8 to 10 mins for 7500 tickets.

I don't have bosses turned off - I'll have to try that to see if it speeds things up. Is it best to be at +1x8 or +0x8?

Just tested Fire! takes right around 60 seconds to cap tickets at 0x8. Really didn't like how small the glowie was I wasted maybe 5-7 seconds after I was capped trying to click through the pile of bodies.

It also takes the same amount of time up to +3x8 with bosses but I get a bit more inf. Since your going in damage capped anyway and you get higher ticket drops off of higher con mobs it tends to be a wash on how you set your difficulty slider

I use my own farm that I take down which uses a Archanos Computer in the G'ville conference room. Takes the same time to cap but I get less frustrated at lost time clicking.

At a certain point load times, insp popping and using of the tickets on rolls become the greatest drain on your earning.

Especially when the market starts to skew toward recipes in the bronze pool and you have to spam through 142 rolls to deplete tickets. Deleting all the chaff you get then crafting the wheat takes longer than getting the tickets did.

I don't think the leves matter a lot when you are capping tickets.
I leave them at +4/8 and it takes a miunte or less to cap tickets and Joe says the same thing about +0/8 and +3/8. I think it goes so fast any difference is insignificant.
But most definitely, turn off bosses.

:')

chu ran my arc XD

Watched the video and it looks like you did it in 7:40 or so without load times. Pretty impressive.

However, i seem to find that tickets are a bit...odd lately. And it might be an unreliable way to gauge speed.

What impressed me is the ridiculously low loading time you spend on the CoH screen (not the loading bar, the one right before that).

Yeah, his load times are pretty freaking epic. I tend to have twice that.

The pimp hat did nothing for you? I find that hard to believe!

I did not notice the pimp hat, sir. Thank you for pointing this to my attention, I now need to rewatch this video, in fullscreen this time.

Hmmm, which macro will auto-combine reds for you? Sounds very useful - I waste a lot of time eating useless insps to make room for reds.

The first three combine macros T1, T2, and T3.
The last deletes awakens and targets the nearest LT.

Thanks! Just tried them out, that puts me down to a consistent 1.5 mins per map - with a little practice and maybe some build tweaking I can get it down to the 60 secs that the pros do.

If you are going to use macros i highly recmmend have an attack in them. That way just as you naturally go thru your attack chain you you combine insp.

Nice thing about combine macros they dont mess with your chain. You can click them while things are animating and they still work.

i just made the delete macro much better for me, it not only deletes the rezzes but also the single or double ins that cant be used to make a red, which is usefull in a farm if your trays full of crap u cant use or after the farm when your deleting the ins u cant combine to fill back up on reds...here it is..

/macro DELETE "inspdelete awaken$$inspdelete bounce_back$$inspdelete break_free$$inspdelete emerge$$inspdelete insight$$inspdelete Keen_Insight$$inspdelete Catch_a_Breath$$inspdelete Take_a_Breather$$inspdelete Respite$$inspdelete Dramatic_Improvement"

It does the majority of the small and med Insperations cuz the code cant be any longer in game.

Damn it! Why the hell did I never do that. I only run 4 attacks in a ticket farm. I use four sets of binds...

Free's up my movement keys do so I don't have to swap out when I'm doing TF's and the like and want to keep things like purps around.

Thanks Ultrawatt.

Edit: The problem I am running into is that I don't have enough character spaces to make full use of the combines and the attack. Guess I will stick with binding to movement keys for myself. Was worth trying out though. I can see where some might like it better

This is easily my biggest issue. I farm maybe...once a week, if for an hour or so, and even then I end up running to the quartermaster to vendor a bunch of recipes that sell for garbage. I'm really, really bad at identifying ones that I can trash, and ones that might sell well.
