  1. I find myself rarely using rage, even on my SS/Fire farmer, due to the crash.

If they would increase the recharge time to prevent double stacking, and remove the crash - I would be fine with that change.
  2. Hercules

    Wizard Bundle

They could provide something similar to a wizard robe with a new
"wizardly jacket" combined with a butt-cape for male models.

The hat could be modeled after the current witch hat. Just need to provide a star/saturn pattern for all pieces.

Wouldnt hurt to provide a new "long beard" that isnt quite as bushy as the current beard.
  3. They've probably already designed the Genesis and later tier incarnate abilities, but I'd thought I'd throw this idea out. This particular ability would provide for addition slotting for your existing power sets.

Tier 1: 1 additional enhancement slot opened up for use in any power.
    Tier 2: 2 additional slots "
    Tier 3: 3 additional slots "
Tier 4: 4 additional slots and 1 extra power can be selected.

Note: Each level is +1 slot, i'm not proposing 10 extra slots.

    * Since it would be very difficult to have a branching tree structure with this setup, there would be only 1 selection for each level. Also, since you dont have to walk through two paths to build the final tier 4 power, the required components for each level would have to be double that of the existing incarnate abilities. Example: Most tier 1 abilities require 4 common components, this one would require 8.

    * Since there is only 1 selection per level, having it auto slotted for you would be a nice feature.

    * A new menu option would have to be added to trainers to "Add additional incarnate slot(s)".

I'm sure 4 extra slots might be a bit over the top for some builds, but it should make for an interesting discussion.

/em puts on flame retardant suit
  4. Would probably be easier to just replace rage with buildup when porting the set to scrappers.
  5. 1. We already have 1 set of asymmetrical robotic arms. I've often wondered
"Why not have assymetrical options for everything"? Costume pieces, patterns, colors, etc.

    2. They've introduced new costume pieces where you can set a "Glowing" option. Example: The new retro spaceman belt has a glowing star option.
Why not spread this out to legacy costume pieces. And why not allow us to set secondary colors to glow, instead of narrowing it down to specific costume pieces?

    3. I agree with the post above - we need more body options. Fat, hunched over, scrawny, etc. I've always wanted to create a Troll/Ogre type character - just not feasible unless you have a hunched over option, with extra long arms almost to the ground.

Yeah, that was it. Guess my old build wasnt quite as bad as I thought it was. Oh well, it was some improvement.

I headed out to Monster Isle in PI, just to test it out. After slugging it out for 5 mins with a GM, I can say it is at least fairly durable against a S/L boss. ( it was a Tie ) We'll see how it goes in an iTrial.
  7. I just respeced and implemented something very close to Hatred666's build.
Why are the in-game defense stats 10 points below what Mids is showing?
The defenses are supposed to be above the softcap, however i'm showing defense numbers in the mid 30s.
  8. If they did add a tier 5, I dont see why you'd narrow it back down a single point. Currently, you can choose 1 of 2 end points ( or both if you really enjoy the grinding ).

    Banter channel?

Not especially opposed to the idea ... but it probably wouldn't work. The people who abuse the help channel do so because they know they have the "entire" audience, and a captive audience to boot, unless you want to turn the help channel off. So, they would probably continue using it.

What I would like instead is a selective ignore feature. (i.e., I want to ignore this person in the help channel only, or broadcast, or whatever )

What they also need to do is to hire some kid at minimum wage to be the public channel moderator.

If you're savvy, maybe you'd customize one folder to include basic IOs/temps/costumes/hold/fear/immobilize/stun recipes, another for all and another for rares/purples. Technically, the folders are just filters on your inventory window, we could just proliferate the dropdown menu from the crafting window with options like "Hide Basic IOs", "Hide Crafted IOs", "Hide Temps/Costumes".
This would help some, at least with getting rid of basic IOs. Wouldnt help with me wanting to keep only "good" IOs, like Numinas, LOTG, Aegis, Kinetic Combat, etc. Also, you'd still need a delete all button for each tab, otherwise you're back to individually deleting items out of each stack.

Yeah, I considered an auto-delete option, but the junk folder is a little safer. You can look at least look at them before purging them from inventory.
  12. One thing that I spend a lot of time doing is going through
recipe drops and deleting out the unwanted/undesirable recipes. Lets face it, 90% of the recipe drops in the game you cant give away, and the generic IOs are useless at 50 once you slot out your toon with sets. ( or memorize them ) I could really vent about the temp power drops - but that's another thread.

My suggestion is to add links to the right click menu for recipes:
    - "This is Junk"
    - "This is not Junk" ( for when you change your mind )
These options will be saved to your local settings file.

Once an item is marked as junk, it will automatically be routed to a new Junk Folder under recipes. A new button will need to be added "Clear Junk Folder",
which automatically deletes all recipes in that folder upon confirmation.
  13. A few changes that I think would make the AH a little more user friendly:

    1. Provide a "select all" checkbox when dropping stacks of items in the AH, which stays checked until you uncheck it.
It is extremely annoying having to constantly adjust the slider when trying to clear out salvage. The only alternative I have is to find the "big" stacks and work my way down, which can be time consuming.

    2. At the bottom of the screen is a "Collect All" button to get the influence
when you sell a large number of items. Only problem is, it doesnt work for large number of items. You get an error saying essentially you're trying to do too many transactions at once, then you get timed out for 30 secs.
Make that one big transaction - you have the list of items already sold and you know what the sum total is. Otherwise, remove the button, it's useless as is.

    3. To find out what salvage is needed to craft an item, I have to drop it, search for it, then click the link to see the salvage items needed. Provide that link at the bottom to remove a step.

    4. Provide a highlighted "count" field next to items that I've searched for indicating how many I already have in inventory. This would make it easier to figure out:
    a. Which salvage components I already have when crafting.
    b. Which enhancements in a set I have already bought, when trying to buy a complete set.

    Statesmen Statue

Wouldn't be a bad suggestion though, they should put up a new statue somewhere in Paragon City for Statesman.

Yeah, should also be placed in Pocket D and other common gathering places for TFs/iTrials. I'm assuming his setting is per-character and not account wide?
  16. I'm finding that on almost every iTrial now, there is at least one joker who loves using his team teleport power - repeatedly. On one trial, a player used it during TPN, when people had mark of death. Didnt go over well.

When you ask this person to stop, the answer is either
    1. Tough, Deal with it (sometimes with a few choice 4 letter words )
    2. Turn on the team teleport prompt

I've done option 2, but I'm still having to repeatedly dismiss dialogs, when I would LIKE to be concentrating on finishing the trial.

I would like a third option to completely ignore team teleport - with no prompt. They can spam their power to their hearts content, and I dont have to have the constant annoyance of dialogs popping up in the middle of the screen.
  17. I have a WM/Shield and MA/Shield - both basically play the same way.
Pretty good combo. You get the best of both worlds - very good single target damage, combined with decent AOE.

In terms of animations, WM is a bit boring.

I cannot recommend TW, the windup is just too slow. Leveled one up to about level 40, and gave up on him.

(And less of a fix than a personal choice -- I'd break the slotting in Strength of Will and take the defense hit for better slotting of High Pain Tolerance, Health, and/or Indomitable Will. Also a personal choice, I'd far and away take Resurgence over Assault, or even Strength of Will.)
Thanks much for the updates, you managed to squeeze a few more defensive points across the board.

As far as resurgance - dont really need it since I have "Return to Battle". Didnt really see anything in the epic pools that would be useful - since I dont need another attack. Maybe confront for pulling or saving a squishie's butt.

Not sure what slotting Aegis will do for me - since I dont think there are that many mobs in the incarnate trials that use fire or cold damage, although a few extra points in AOE defense coudnt hurt.
  19. No responses, so I guess I go with this build.
Was hoping someone else might have something better.
  20. I'm about to get my latest scrapper to 50, and started planning out my final build. Following is what I've come up with so far. I'd appreciate any suggested improvements.

Goals: Good Damage with max survivability for TFs and Incarnate trials.

Question: Should I be concentrating more on resists, or are the defense numbers good enough?

The key words are "proper team". A normal PUG leveling up, using mostly SOs or plain IOs, will not roll over +4 x 8. I've been on some truely awful, uncoordinated teams that had difficulty at +0.

    Quote:
Whats the point of this Incarnate stuff if you can't test it against truly powerful enemies?
I think that's the whole point of the incarnate trials. I have suggested in the forums before that they provide an incarnate mode for regular TFs, where the mobs and the bosses are ramped up for added difficulty - but probably not going to happen - usage of the trial content would plummet.
  22. Yeah, ive seen the extra enhancement slots available for sale - for 1600 points. Way too rich for my blood - 400 pts would be more reasonable.

I wasnt aware the unslotters could be sold on WWs, I'll definitely look into this next time.
  23. Change 1)
I just did a respec for one of my scrappers yesterday. There were enough changes that I ended up losing a significant number of IOs, and to be frank, the "value" creditied for these items is well below market value.

I also dont think i should have to burn several respecs to keep these IOs.

My proposal is to add an email icon at the bottom where you can drop IOs.
An email would be automatically created - sent to your global id with the IO as an attachment.

    Change 2)
I cant tell you how many times I'm in the middle of a respec, and someone sends me a tell. You have 2 options, ignore it or cancel out of the respec to respond - then start all over.
It would be nice to have a very small, unobtrusive chat section somewhere on the screen - maybe limit it to just responding to tells.

  25. While we are on the topic of solo SG invites.

It would be nice if they could implement SG invite emails ( with an 'invitation attachment' ) that you could send to your global email id or to anyone else Then when you claim the email attachment it could prompt you "Do you wish to join this SG?".
