I dont do as much Marketing as I use to I have been hit with a serious case of the Alt's and running my MLC/Teenage toons for the drops and just sell them, and to that extent I am just SO'ing and Frankenslotting them to be very effective.
If I had to put a number on it right now I have about 15-20 billion in liquid cash among all my toons and if I stripped and sold out I would have approximately 50 billion.
I only have one toon really pimped out and that is my Ice/Kin Corr who only has 2 sets of purples. Never really seemed to need much more and since I dont pvp I dont really see myself spending hugh dollars on any of my toons -
Great service from two very honorable men, I may be taking you both up on your offers once GR opens up.

Quote:Test is in Open Beta again. Anyone want to continue this? Mrs. TopDoc has a Tanker with around 1200 Merits, so I may be able to start adding some numbers.
I will roll in the 10-14 range... i have xfer'd some toons over there and will continute the test.
I will roll and post over the next few days -
Congratz... it sure is a great feeling when you do open your inventions and see that shiny purple... makes you wanna keep going

The funny thing is ... is that after all this time I rolled out an Elec/Kin and an Energy/Cold Corr and enjoy the heck out of both of them. The KB from Energy does concern me when teaming but I mostly solo... mostly

Great Concept I'm all in they can test them out on Tanker Tuesday!!!

Quote:outstanding!!!sorry talen, didn't want to attach uncropped since they are 1920x1080. Anyway they are here if you want to check them out.
Because my base is built with mortar mixed from the cries of market whiners. :d
btw, don't try this unless you really, really mean it. There is no "are you sure" button. -

I remember when i first starting playing this game back in July 2004 I teamed with this Kin and her name was "yourgrandmother" (or something like that) and she told me she was in her mid 60's

Turned 53 last September and I like the Op loved comic books and use to go the the 5 & 10 store to buy the buybacks (the covers would be cut in half and they sold for a penny) because that was all my brother and I could afford.
Loved Sci-fi and still do today, I have two sons who are gamers as well and in fact when I talk about the old days having to to to Center City Philadelphia with my brother to play the latest video games (we use to go down and play pong) they called made a shirt for me that had OG on it for Original Gamer...lol -

Quote:I would like to have a Market app so I can check my Auction Items whenever I am away from the game.Jokes about its name aside (I've heard them, and giggled appropriately), has anyone actually bought an iPad? If so, have you considered what kind of CoH-related apps you'd like to see on it? Specifically, what apps would you like to see that could conceivably be community-developed? (So something like, "I want an iPad version of CoH!" or "I want a costume creator!" wouldn't practically fall into that category.)
And just out of curiosity, does anyone have any experience developing for the iPhone? Objective C is kind of a beast, not to be trifled with.
What would you be willing to pay for CoH-related apps? Would you only use freebie ones? Would you snag some $0.99 ones? Would you be willing to plunk down a few bucks for something particularly useful? How would you personally define "particularly useful"?
Keep in mind that these questions are all hypothetical. I'm not intending on developing anything for the iPhone or iPad in the near future, I have way too much on my plate. Plus, there's also the not inconsiderable legal hurdle of having to get NCsoft's permission before using any of their IP for anything commercial. Still, I am curious what you all think. -

Quote:This is the most important aspect of the game for me... and I just got rich while doing it

Quote:I am by NO means in Smurphy's universe when it comes to piles of money lying around... but I do the same thing, i ususally delete anything but orange unless I happen to be at the market and I have a few slots.
I'm the guy buying at 300,000. I don't care what the price of salvage is at any point in time. It's truly more efficient and profitable for me to go about my usual market routine and pay whatever price salvage happens to be at any point in time. The time I'd spend writing salvage prices down could be spent doing more profitable enterprises.
Last night I was buying up some red side common for 200k because I wanted to craft and sell a purple I had just purchased. -
congratz.... and it still means something to me too
-
I still think a Billion is a lot of money... it may not buy what it could buy last year, but can still make an awefully damned good build with it.

It would be ok with my...My Fire/Rad that I created for this project has been stuck at 15-18 (cant really remember) because I wont run her for any other reason.
She has been stuck at the SC WW just buying up and vendoring receipes... so far she is up to 60 million.
It has been every slow over the last month or so with so many other things going on, so anything that can get this going would be fine with me. -

Quote:I have been hanging on to about 15-18 puprles red side for months, for no particular reason other than I just have not gotten around to putting them on the market. I purchased most of them for about 30-40 million on bids that I had outstanding that I was using to hold funds.I don't have a character that I currently have any interest in rebuilding to include purple sets...however, over the course of the past few weeks I've amassed a sizable collection of purple recipes (around 20 or so).
Is there more value in trying to sell these recipes at a premium price or do you believe there will be more value in holding on to them?
I dont plan on purpling out any toons and in fact I only have one set and its in Blizzard for my main TF runner.
I have watching the prices soar as high as the 750 million dollar range and drop back down to around 300 million or so where some of them sit.
Since i dont need the funds, i just keep them. What you do depends on your long term plans...
either way you cant really go wrong
