    I think I will take Weave, and try to get some defense bonuses...hmmm...I have a level 43 Dark/SR who does not have Weave yet, and is over softcap when she swallows a small purple. I need to look over the Dark Melee part of her build, which is where I have the majority of her defense bonuses, and get ideas for this one...or just flat out copy it, except for Siphon life...My Dark/Regen has it slotted for damage, while my Dark/SR has it slotted mostly for heals.

    I might have to sacrifice some of my accuracy and recharge bonuses to get enough defense though....but now I have a real percentage to work towards, and that is simply wonderful....

    DM/sr is easy to soft cap tough wave will get you close and a couple small IO's and you are good

    So to get easy merits I solo Task Forces a couple times a week. What I do is start the TF with my roommates and my accounts(4 total), then log off everyone except MunkiLord(DM/SR). When I get to the last mission I log them all back in and have the extras doorsit for the merits.

    I typically solo either Synapse or Citadel as they seem to be the easiest. With that character Positron is difficult for me even when the TF is just set for two people. I did Sister Psyche once but the Freakshow liked to run a lot and it pissed me off. The damn Paragon Protectors in the Manticore TF annoyed me as well. I haven't attempted to solo Numina yet, but I doubt it would be too difficult. Just annoying because of the zone hopping.

    So what Task Forces do you prefer to solo, and why?

    I do Posi 3 people to start I done it for 3 on my dm/sr but it was a little more brutal than 2 people

    Now I have a fire/mind at 31 I been using which works better but I am thinking my arch/dev may do better with blazing arrow and still have aoe with fist full and explosive

    If we go to test i have two toons IO'd out or one that is close and I will just bite the bullet and spend the millions for his last obliteration IO . I have my Katana/sr and I can respec him and fit in Taunt he is softcapped with aidself maneuvers and tactics.

    Or I have a soft capped fire/shield maneuvers and assault and aidself

    (yes I have 5 scrappers at 50 2 are now retired and I been stripping out IO's and one is a meidocre IO build right now)

    So either one if you set a time I will see if I can be there

    I seriously doubt you will be able to match Ghost Widows regeneration rate with just Nem. Staffs/Black Wands. You're gonna need 8-7 scrappers in melee to drop her.

    One scrapper with Confront at range migh work...if he has a full load of break frees or the higher tier variety.

    You need one scrapper with caltrops to run around and spread them on the towers to keep the repairers off that would help

    I guess with ghost widow you need a bunch of then running tactics and spam wand and nemesis staff and any other ranged attack

    Team invite one (blind) - level 54 boss farm. *quit*
    Team two - stands around for 30minutes and doesn't actually do a mission. *quit*
    I broadcast for people to join my team - stating story rather than farm. No response.
    Team invite three - leader quits on the first mission
    Team four - I'm now the leader of team three. Try to recruit a few more. One guy quits because I'm not running a farm.
    I give up and go and play something else.

    Unfortunately LordX is right. You can't restrict it to vets or over a certain level now. Which is a real shame. It should have been a separate level-restricted zone.

    It has ruined teaming in this game. It's ok to say teach people but they have to want to learn. All everyone wants to do in AE is farm. They don't even *consider* some of those story arcs are a) good and b) decent XP. No unless you start a map of purple bosses no one wants to know.

    What's the point of an MMO where the devs make it harder to find a team.

    I find this odd I play on one of the lower population servers in Pinnacle. I play mainly non peak hours like 9pm CST and later is my biggest play time sessions sometimes sneak in early or some longer play times on weekends. In the last few weeks where I been on ling enough to team I gotten one and they where non AE teams ran threw 3-4 missions including a safeguard mission on a lvl 33 Blaster just 3 days ago.

    In fact since AE I been able to play on more teams than before but what do I know.

    I skipped TOF on my dm/sr for that reason and never regretted it and later on my dm/da build I dropped it and never looked back

    Well when you hit the 5 year reward you can take a travel power at 6 and skip the prerequisite I do not hit it until fall

However, I tend to pull aggro off tanks a lot - I tried backing off for a while and then doing the combo but I would still pull a lot of aggro. Could the taunt aura in Against All Odds be off some?

    Nope it is just pretty darn strong I love it then again I am soft capped and have aidself. I play mini tank on many of teams late because of not having a tanker. That is why I suggest all shield scrappers to wait until around 22 -24 before taking AAO since generally you build is not ready for that extra agro pre SO's

    Go with Multi strikes that way you do not need to fraken slot you will get with lvl 45 ones 70% acc 97% dmg 88% end 46% rech

    I used it in mine before I retired him quills + death shroud + ripper + spineburst and if you want dark regen

    but just the 1st 4 gives you an extra 6.2% defense to melee and aoe and they are cheap running about 1-2million a multistrike and the most commons ones to fine for them

    Just my suggestion on IO's for cheap and effective

    Razzle dazzle in Cobra Strike gives both AoE and Melee defense. Its a good power to use for both set mule purposes and to stun a defense debuffing lieut or minion.

    OwtS is a good place to keep your res/def IO and because lethal smashing resistance is low on shields and the crash isn't harsh its a good power to keep rather than take Tough especially when you consider that it boosts max hit points while active. With a few +HP sets, ED capped True Grit, accolades, and unslotted OwtS you hit the scrapper hit point cap. Just a res/def IO gives more smashing/lethal resistance than Tough does fully slotted and it only takes 2.5 end to cast. If you have +max endurance accoaldes you break even on end recovery including casting cost with out slotting any end mod in the power at all.

    OwtS is up 33% of the time and putting the Res/def IO here saves the slot in True Grit that should be used for heal to increase max hit points.

  19. Here we go this should work and I even got you 3.04 end recovery close to what I am running on my fire/sd you have more recharge so your Conserve power will be up more than mine and I have been able to solo AV's with no temps or inspiration and maintain my endurance

    I also soft capped everything. I used 3 Ho's in Active Defense to buff you your debuff resistance

  21. No because I only publish my farm arc when I run it then unpublish it when I am not running it. Since I am not a silky smooth cool writer I am not going to build 5 arcs or anything crazy like that.

    Don't get me wrong. I love PLing, farming, and IO'ing out my characters. I don't RP, i don't like telling anyone how to play there game. I just thought id say maybe those of us farmers out there can take a little more care in who we invite to our teams.

    Last night i did a synapse TF on Freedom. A pretty well rounded team, balanced, and pretty fluent in terms of moving along at a good pace. Well, 8 people started, only 5 finished. We went down to 5 after about 45 mins. Players that were invited to a TF, who knew there were being invited to a TF that were going to be exemplared down to level 20, had no idea why they were getting no XP, and didn't even know the benefit of the task force commander accolade and 50 or so merits you get upon completion.

    It's unbelievable what people get themselves into, with no regard for the team or task at hand.

    I hate to blame AE, but it's hard not too.

    So, all i am saying is....don't pl with the n00bs, they are probably leaching in your farms anyway.

    This has been happening since I joined the game in I2 from people that have never been power leveled they do not understand game mechanics powers etc it is a large % of the population just shake your head and move on

    You can use IOs (“But I can't afford it! But the game isn't supposed to be balanced around IOs!”). You can take Acrobatics (“But I didn't want the Leaping power pool! But I shouldn't need a pool power to make up for a hole in my secondary!”). You can do fairly well with Hover (“I don't want to fly! You still get knocked for a loop! I shouldn't need a pool power!”).

    Knockback is EASILY handled with one of the MANY tools available to you. If you don't WANT to use any of those tools, and so get knocked all over the place, I don't think anybody can or should help you. There's nothing wrong with a secondary with a hole in it, and this hole is so easily plugged that I can only roll my eyes at the complaints I've seen in the past.

    For me personally, I typically level up on SOs and maybe some frankenslotting. On my Spines/Dark, I leveled up using Acrobatics because I was too obstinate to “overpay” for my knockback protection IO, and then was too lazy to respec once I had it. And it worked just fine until I finally got around to doing the respec.

    To clarify I been all over this argument for years it goes way back for me.

    I leveled both my /DA's up before IO's so I used acrobatics both times in fact I started leveling my dm/da in I2 before I could even stack armors.

    It is one of my quest it may never get changed and I will live with it but I am to the point I have just given up leveling any more /da or /fire armor because I have to get an IO or wait 20 levels for the most common form of status attack used in this game and I have to take a pool power to accomplish it. I have ran with people when the only choice was acro and not have it and they where more hindrance than help to the team on a lot of maps as a melee toon. Yes there are ways to get it but it still forces you to IO's or pol powers so teleport and superspeed are off the table with out IO's.

    I am not even asking for mag 10 a simple mag 4 would make a world for a large % of the content and it still be a partial whole for things like the Rikti Ship and KTF and pylons; some av's etc.

    Like I said it is on my wish list

    I'll agree with some tweaks to Cloak of Fear. That's about all I think could use any work. The damage aura has the same DPE as other damage auras, which is to say it's an absolute BARGAIN for the damage it does. Oppressive Gloom is cheap since it damages you. The other toggles look pretty normal. As for resists, just how high do you want them? They're already great.

    I am still not giving up on KB protection for all melee toons even if it is mag 4 and 50% resistance. It makes no sense even with damage toggle that melee toons have to resort to IO and pool powers to get at least some kb protection. Those change alone would get threw 90% of the content and the sets would still get benefits from kb IO's
