  2. It will happen eventually and it should, not every power from every control set benefit from domination. Why hold Illusion to a different set of rules? Ice Control has how many? I know my Spirit Tree on my plant/fire dom doesn't benefit from domination. Again, what's the big deal on people expecting Illusion to work well with Domination?

    No, no plans are in the works to raise the level cap ever. It would break several things that are coded around being level 50. Hence why the Incarnate system exist to begin with.
  4. Will SGs be made co-op in GR, considering the markets are now merged. It also wouldn't force the Rogue running a Hero STF from travelling the long way. IP > Talos > PI and back again to continue running the STF. Be easier if SGs were co-op and you could use telepads.
  5. Haste way over slotted trying to hit perma-haste, CC doesn't even have end reduction. IMO the pet in plant control is useless on doms as your secondary is damage focused. I took on my controller and skipped it on my dom, i stand by my choice. Here's my doms build, he's sturdy and crazy fun.

  6. Subs did fall when a majority of pvpers did quit after i13. It was very easy to notice this fall in subs as most pvpers have 2-4 accounts each

    Freeform Respecs

    Would like to move enhancements around w/o wasting respecs myself. Being able to lock powers into place is a step forward. Would be a great QoL feature for 50s though.
  8. Doms can deal decent amounts of AoE with the right combo. Fire/Psi doms were extremely popular farmers before Psywave was nerfed. They still work well, I just find mine lacking since my brute farmers are better. My Plant/Fire can deal loads of AoE damage.

    But, IMO Fire and Plant deal the most AoE for primaries. As for secondaries Thorns have the most AoE attacks. Earth, Fire, and Psi, can deal quite a bit of AoE even with only two AoE attacks. Mix/Max to your flavor.

    Doesn't change their concept.

    Can Scrappers tank? Yes, but they cannot hold aggro as well as a Tanker can. Can controllers DPS? Yes, a few like Fire/Kin, Plant/Kin can roll out damage faster then Blasters. But these mixes are unique and not what was originally intended. CoH ATs were built w/ roles in mind, that doesn't mean they aren't capable of more.

    Simply CoH was built with teams in mind, CoV was built with solo in mind.

    They chose a certain number of already created sets and made a unique one for MMs. Radiation isn't too powerful, look at dark, thermal, storm, and pain.

    Global channels?

    Every channel regardless of name, all basically serve the same function. It's really a different crowd w/ each channel. I prefer IB2 personally, but I'm a member of several channels. The only rule we really hold people to on IB2 is no spamming. Some channels have rules against swearing, some like AEA have rules against forming AE teams on them.

    As a server we tend to shift over several channels for general chatter. Some days IB2, some days Infinity Hamidon, etc. When a TF/SF forms all the channels get spammed looking for members.

  13. Bluntly, I don't know where to begin on how horrid that build is...

    I'm not saying this because there are no pets as you said it was a second build. I'm hoping your main set has its pets.

    Your slotting seems like you're gunning for HP and regen, but w/ MMs having low hps that seems almost futile. You only gain 171.7 points of hp from all this, which isn't much when you have no mitigation. Some things are over slotted, some things are under slotted. Also purples are running extremely high on the market atm, assuming you can afford them. I personally wouldn't spend the money on this build, I'm curious to see your build w/ pets.
  14. Options for auto accept/decline would be nice, more preferred for self buff. Just a wait and see atm, but I hate the prompt. Also, never say never in this game, we've had a lot of that over the years and yet things come. Capes, proliferation, color customization, etc

    It never hurts to ask, I would prefer a self buff so I could use it while I solo. Also for the those times you're the only one who doesn't get buffed. Get rid of the stacking bugs and a self buff is plausible.
  15. LOL was so focused on s/l completely missed the lack of end slotting on the heal. Completely forgot about the def procs as well. Also not worried about the +rech proc, I've got 2 brutes with the proc in footstomp. I've also got a stone melee brute slotted w/ two of the procs. Sadly it seems there are only 3 powers left this proc is decent slotted. I understand the overlapping of the cooldown, I just like the 100% boost because it helps regardless.

  17. Ok so OS isn't a problem as long as I avoid defragging the drive. Seems my Iolo Systems Mechanic will become obsolete with this drive installed. As TRIM looks like it does everything it did for my HD. My remaining concern atm is what Hyperstrike mentioned about my laptop not having the right controller to run a SSD. I'm putting a call into Asus Tech Support when I have time later.

    Might consider an OS upgrade if I can fit both the drive and it into my set budget. Another option is to save up, get a desktop and us my laptop as backup. I just expect my HD to die out soon as it was meant to be an external storage, not run an OS.

    Edit: Tech Support was entertaining, it was a question of is it possible. All I got was "We don't know and we don't advise you do it". I'm ok with "at risk" I explained, TS of course more concerned with liability. My laptops already out of warranty so it doesn't matter if I break the damn thing. IF it doesn't work, I'll simply store the drive till I'm able to get a system that can support it properly. Think I will go with this SSD as the price looks nice and I can swing an OS upgrade as well. Thanks for all your replies and help

    I read about the lack of TRIM support and read about utilities that I can use manually. I wonder now if my Systems Mechanic program would work with the drive. I guess I would ignore the defrag messages, I read somewhere that you don't defrag SSDs. I'm assuming TRIM for SSD is pretty much the same function as defrag for normal HDs. Cleaning out the clutter/trash so the drive is more efficient.

  21. Drive space really isn't an issue, I've got a 1TB external drive on hand. What I want is something that wont get hammered from playing STO and CoX on a daily basis. Reason SSD caught my interest is I take my laptop w/ me everywhere, partly why I think my HDs are dying out.

    Low performance and stability would be my main issue, I'm assuming I can't change this controller you mention. Whereas the normal HDs would work fine, I found more SSDs on other sites. Would there be a more compatible SSD out there or is my laptop itself not designed for this type of drive.
  22. Need a new HD, current one is getting torn to shreds with what I run. New laptop not in budget, wife, kids, bills, etc. I have an Asus G50V-X1 and would like to install this SSD

    We've got the best techies I know of, so I want to know if this is a good move. What problems I may encounter, etc. Any advice is good. I've already killed one HD, the dying one is one I ripped out of an external I had.

  25. OSA needs some fixing, which is coming soon(™) The rest of the set is fine IMO. Both my Illusion/TA controller and Arch/TA corr bring a lot to a team.

    I see EM as a powerful ST set, lacking hugely when it comes to AoE. It's a trade off, I can accept that. I've stated before I don't have any experience with EM before the change. From my perspective EM is a good set and my EM/SR Brute tears things apart. Whether it be due to being softcapped or not, I don't think the set should be defined. What I would want to see added to the set is an improvement to Whirling Hands. A slight damage buff and please, please, a radius buff. The animation looks bigger then what it actually hits. lol
