Quote:Yeah, go figure, in a thread titled "Have we figured out who the Letter writer is?"... What, did you expect the answer to be a resounding no?Damn knew I shouldn't have read this thread, now I know who it is.
Quote:BTW those that have huge screens, 3 big spoiler words in big font don't cover it. Even as fast as my mouse wheel can scroll, I still caught a glimpse.
Quote:Suppose I will just have to be satisfied that I don't know who kills Statesman yet.

I'm still cautious about the wolf actually being the Umbra Beast. Darkness Control has another summon power, and it may be a Shade.

Ooh, on closer inspection, Steel Canyon and Cap au Diable may be 10-20. Is that "mid level"?
-
Already when I train up to 20 I get spammed with contact introductions from the likes of Darrin Wade, Henri Dumont, Dean MacArthur and Vincent Ross. The 20-30 level range is duly saturated with mission content.
What we need is more 30-40 stuff, but apparently Issue 22's giving us more 20-30 stuff. -
Uh... er... hm... If you're a badger, wouldn't switching to full Hero temporarily be acceptable? It's worth a badge and everything.

Quote:That would require me to take my hand off of the mouse. )-:Slave some of the powers on the right-hand side of your control bars to your NumPad.
I use that for lots of stuff, even managing inventory mid-fight. I can't justify using the number pad for reasons that don't amount to much of a benefit (if any). -
A Hero's Epic is much faster and contains all the same AVs except for Siege. Anti-Matter remains missing as before. Run that arc, a BAF and a Keyes and you should have it.

Personally, when I don't open with Venom Grenade, I'll hit Build Up - Shatter - Crowd Control then either Pulverize or Poisonous Ray. The knockdown in Crowd Control is quite nice, and it's a 180-degree arc.

While Dominators were designed in the days before the Invention system with its intense Recharge bonuses, I do remember Castle pointing out specifically that when the Issue 15 revision to Dominators came around, he wanted to have as little impact on permadom players as possible. It would have been a prime time to cut them off at the knees, but our devs made certain to allow us to participate in that playstyle anyway.

Quote:If he could, no one would ever be anything else. Drop the ninja assassin part and you can get close. He just can't be the ultimate ninja assassin / mez-resistant blaster / team-support buffer and do all jobs well.
Quote:There are things about Executioner's Strike that are only just becoming clear now that I'm playing with it.
Quote:I was on a large team last night and we were smashing our way through spawns so fast that I usually didn't have enough pause between fights for Hidden status to resume. The only way I could perform an Executioner's Strike would be if I intentionally stood around and didn't participate in mopping up each spawn.
For what it's worth, you still have Placate in your toolbox that will give you Hidden any time you want it. -

I'm with Zombie Man on this one. This game hasn't had a Mary Sue since Statesman was nerfed to level 53. In-game Positron's always been painted as a limited individual (as opposed to Jacky McJackerson), and every time you fight any signature hero redside, they don't just lose, but lose bad.
