Per Beastyle, who was on the Beta server a little while ago - Beast Mastery will not be in the release of I22, but will come out a bit later, I am assuming because it's still early stages of development.

The $64,000 question is: Will it be free to VIPs or will it be a pay for everyone set?
I hope it's a "Free for Everyone" set. It would be kind of a dick move to make Premium players pay for Masterminds and then pay again for the Beast Master set. It would cost a Premium player who doesn't have MMs unlocked yet 2,000 PP, or $25 to be able to play this set.
Just my opinion of course, but I think since MMs are already locked, their primary sets should ALL come with the unlock (with the exception of Demon Summoning, which is part of Going Rogue)

If it's purchasable, I'll buy it. Far as I'm concerned, this is still a subscription game with an extended free Trial.

The most likely option is that you'll have to pay for it, but in the first week or so of its release, the MM AT will be discounted.
Main Hero: Mazey - level 50 + 1 fire/fire/fire blaster.
Main Villain: Chained Bot - level 50 + 1 Robot/FF Mastermind.

With how relatively short the list of MM primaries are, asking people to pay to unlock a powerset on an AT that they paid for (via a long term subscription or the license) seems like a bad idea.

Do you want them to add more content? Do you want them to improve the core engine? Would you like them to perhaps completely replace the engine with something more modern?
Of course you do! We all do! That kinda stuff won't happen without more money. A lot more. So pony up more of the Benjamins and show the devs some love.
If you have VIP status and can see the i22 open beta forums, check em out. Something very cool that is not i22 (according to the preview publicized) got slipped in. I won't let the cat out of the bag for fear of getting dogged by Beastyle or some other mod on this, but if this was done deliberately to create some buzz amongst at least amongst VIPs, someone in Paragon marketing is an evil mastermind. I'd be lyin' if I said I don't wanna yap.
