Psi blast for Corrs! I am giddy with excitement. Finally, I'll be able to make a closer version of a Dark Ring Mistress character.
-
I haven't been able to access the game lately, so I can't test this, but did iXP get the teaming bonus before the new issue? If it did, I wondered if that had been accidentally lost in the rewrite.

I've always thought that senior managers are the perfect target market for tablets. They like to look at pretty graphs, and they don't actually have to type much.

Quote:It is a ridiculously clunky and unintuitive system.I would if I weren't horrible at base building. I tried it a couple of times, I just find it too confusing even with help from a few forum threads.. Someone should write a base building for dummies book or do a video tutorial.
If you like, if you get a character ready with a bunch of prestige and let me know when you're online, I could roll a throw-away character up on that server and make you a very plain but functional base with some storage. -
Quote:I'd be okay with that. I don't generally expect a company to provide a service to me if I stop paying for it, and I expect them to put the satisfaction of paying customers above that of non-paying ex-customers.Would YOU be okay with it if you had to quit for an extended period of time and came back to find that your favorite character's name had been taken because someone else wanted it while you were gone?
I think it's really nice of Paragon Studios to let people keep their old character names in case they want to come back, but I don't think they have any kind of obligation to do it. -

That was my experience. I started back in 2008, having never played an MMO, and only a few non-MMO games. There's a lot *in* CoX, but it doesn't force it all on you at once. It's more like a series of suggestions of things you might want to look at. Plus, while there might be newbies who haven't played MMOs before, most of them probably know how to use Google, and if you can do that, Paragonwiki isn't far away.

I save my Lost Wand and use it on the Aberrant Rectors in the Faultline missions, especially when playing squishies without mez protection.

Quote:Blasters all have so much recharge slotted, they were obsolete a month before I20 even came out.Edit : Also, how come it's always the Empaths giving out about Incarnate powers rendering them obsolete? I never see Blasters posting about how the Empaths are running around with incarnate nukes on a 90 second timer

What people are saying is that it has never been possible to do that, so it seems like a rather odd complaint to raise seven years into the life of the game.

Quote:How quickly do you think the devs can create and balance incarnate-level missions that will take a 'normal' team around 30 minutes to complete, and will also be accessible to solo players? Looking at it another way, how many of those missions do you think it would be realistic to expect to be produced per issue?I like this idea....you can have a mish with multiple objectives that you get A-Merits each time you complete an objective, up to somewhere from 3-5 objectives, that would take a normal team around 30 minutes to complete. When you complete the final objective, if you've also completed all other objectives, you receive an E-Merit, up to 1 a day.

These days, just use the Vanguard base and go direct Atlas --> PI.

This is still an awesome idea, and needs to be implemented. Get on it, devs.

Quote:With that attitude, you're already way ahead of several researchers I've worked with :-)A possible solution would be to explain the terms briefly and I have included this in my criticisms of the research.
Sadly, it would be very bad to change this halfway through the research as this would invalidate previous responses.
I filled in the questionnaire. And...I'm in the top age bracket you included. ::cries:: -
Welcome to the game!
Quote:As noted above, capes need to be unlocked at level 20. However, there are some capes in the booster packs, and those can be used from level one. The Magic Super Booster Pack has some nice cloak and hood designs. You can buy it as a separate pack, or you can choose it with the Architect Edition, which might work out cheaper than a month of time + super booster pack.On a side note, I haven't noticed any hooded cloaks in the game yet, but I assume you can get them? -

Oh, well. I don't think I love my arc enough to comb through it for every little bizarroid filter issue. I'll just sit tight and hope it gets corrected at some future point.
Thank you for the answer, anyway :-) -
Someone kindly let me know that my arc is completely unplayable because of this. Does anyone know what causes it, and whether there's a workaround?
My plan was to just put a warning in the description that the arc was borked and wait for a fix to show up, but of course I can't do that because the arc contains something (or probably many, many things) copyright/profane. -

Quote:You might already know this, but I didn't for months, so...Well, with the market ui, I'd really like an option to quick check cost of the recipe/enhancement [as appropriate]. Would kind of nice.
If you drop a recipe in WW and click 'find', so that the recipe name pops up in the search bar, you can then use the up and down arrow keys to move through the nearby recipe/enhancement names to find the enhancement you want. You're still suffering from the illogical naming issues, but it helps a lot. -
Psi/Dark Corruptor, so I can make a Dark Ring Mistress character.

Incarnate boosts can be swapped out at any time (bearing in mind cool down timers), not just during a respec. If you want to e.g. replace a Cardiac with a Spiritual, just craft the Spiritual boost and slot it in the Incarnate window.

Quote:Probably a silly question, but have your tried the /unloadgfx command? I used to get crashes after running too many TFs in a row, and /unloadgfx seemed to help with that.My assumption is that all of these are due to running out of memory, because they almost always happen when I try to run more than one or two trials in a session. I always have noted that memory footprint of the game creeps up from about 1 GB to 1.5GB by the time I get the crash. (I have 3.4GB RAM.)
