    Ask Iggy !
  3. I think Iggy clocked 376dps on his SS/FA/(soul?) post reactive nerf, without lore pets.

I hit ~218 on my FM/INV brute up from around ~190 pre incarnate, using T4 reactive. I need to go run him again for a check.

Same for my Claws/SR brute but I don't think he has T4 reactive yet. Was getting ~195 pre incarnate.

Not having a damage aura or AAO-type damage buff does hurt.

Yeh but you need the Shield to make a Dwarf!!! Forget sword-and-board ... it's big smacking Warhammer or Rularuu Hammer & Board baby! Plus the AAO buff is so darn good. And you get a tasty taunt aura to keep 'em all bunched up while you chain those AOEs.

Tough to do on /SD to hit soft-cap and have recharge needed for top chains.

I can say with certainty that my WM/SR brute absolutely burned endurance and had serious problems til the Power epic with the 2 endo powers. Maybe it's easier for Scraps with conserve power. But there is an argument perhaps to go Cardiac?

I guess it depends on the recharge needed for what the gurus here figure out the top DPS chain is. I know chaining the AOES -- Shatter, CC, Whirling -- absolutely kills the blue bar.
  7. I believe on DPA the best attacks are Blaze, Blast, Incin in that order. That is based on MIDS calc of Damage Per Animation so perhaps it is wrong. But if not, that's your best chain I'd imagine unless you are stuffing Flares with procs or something.

I run Blaze-Blast-Flares on by Fire/MM blaster but subjectively things feel like they melt faster on my Plant/Fire dom running Blaze-Blast-Incin.
  8. The first rule of Clobber (since it was buffed several issues back) is don't talk about Clobber ....
  9. The truly awesome sauce thing about Shatter, unless it got changed in the port over, is that it has a relatively wide cone (30 deg?) compared to Headsplitter / GD. I routinely hit 3 mobs with it on my WM/SR brute without much positioning at all. So you can have a really great AOE chain of Shatter, CC, Whirling Mace.

    Fix my Ice/KIN

Just pulled this guy outta retirement to see if I like him more with the changes to SB and the res buff. Any suggestions on updating him for I20 and making more better?

I had soft-capped him to S/L and built I believe for recharge, largely using Ice Storm to take down spawns on teams and ST attacks for bosses, plus having Bilz up whever possible. Retoggling is a pain

How about on AVs? Will they scare out of the patch as well or will it be handier there?
Unless you team a lot so someone locks down the bosses/AVs, it will not be worth it for you with no immobilize.

You know you can grab the villain PPPs and head back to heroside and keep them right? Worth doing.

  13. Hi everyone ... 7-year vet here looking for some help.

So I'm really out of ideas for 2xp wkd. The new powesets and prolfierated sets aren't out yet and I have a toon of toons already.

But it feels amiss to skip a 2xp wkd without doing something.

Anyone have good suggestions of a toon that could be IO'd with generic IOs and not require a ton of influence to kit out at 50? Say below 500M avoiding most expensive sets.

    Appreciate your suggestions!

    -----

Classes to avoid: Tankers, Scrappers, Stalkers -- either have to many or don't like the class ... plus probabl making StJ and WM scraps come I21

Classes that interest me but I never have got into: Defenders, Khelds .... considering a Beam/Time Def come I21

Classes I probably should like more: Controllers

Things that bug me: not having mez protect

    Toons I already have:

    - DM/SD scrap <-- Love this toon
    - MA/SD scrap
    - DB/WP scrap (abandoned)
    - Kat/WP scrap (abandoned)
    - FM/INV brute <-- Love this toon
    - Claws/SR brute
    - FM/SR scrap (shelved)
    - DM/INV scrap (shelved)
    - WM/SR brute (abandoned for upcoming WM/SD scrap)
    - ELM/SD brute (abandoned)
    - Plant/Fire Dom <-- Love this toon
    - Elec/Earth Dom
    - Mind/Fire Dom (on the shelf)
    - Ice/Mnd Dom (abandoned)
    - DP/Dark Corr
    - Fire/Dark Corr (shelved)
    - Ice/Kin Corr (shelved)
    - NW & Fort (shelved)
    - Crab/huntsman
    - Bane/huntsman (shelved)
    - Arch/EM blaster (shelved)
    - Fire/MM blaster
    - AR/EM blaster
    - Ill/Rad Troller
    - Fire/Rad Troller (abandoned)
  14. 7 year vet here but I've never gotten into Khelds.

I see some changes on the VIP Beta boards but don't know how to interpret them.

My main question is this: am I right in thinking that Khelds still do not get Mez protect outside of lobster form?

    Thx.
  15. +1 Nilhilii

Look, there has been a lot of work on the scrapper and brute boards on the performance of KM. This guy drops in and throws down a love bomb on some powerset combo without empirical support. Obviously the number crunchers who have done all the work are going to get miffed.

Nihillii could have said nothing and let the OP's post stand -- but that probably wouldn't have been fair to pre-Freedom folks who read it and get the wrong impression. I'm sure the OP loves his KM. Nihilii is just pointing out that true top performance comes from other sets.
  16. I checked through MIDS for Icy Bastion but couldnt' find it. Where does it currently exist? Or is it a totally new power? Sort of an Ice Armor version of MOG?

    Never mind ....

    Ice Armor for Stalkers

We chose Ice Armor this time around as it was a fun and thematically interesting power set and it was the only option that didn’t require substantial art time. Since our talented artists are working their rear ends off making content in Issue 21 shine, this round of Power Set Proliferation required that there would be no art time used. Ice Armor had to have some changes made to make it compatible with the Stalker play style. First we removed Icicles to make room for Hide and then we removed Hibernate and replaced it with Icy Bastion. This change was made because Stalkers already have access to Hibernate from their Leviathan Patron Pool. The new power Icy Bastion is a click power that provides a short, but significant, burst of Resistance, Regeneration and Recovery.

OK. In my reply I was trying to talk-about pre-Incarnate dps (except Alpha) or pre-I20 dps to make it clearer. So that clears up the confusion. That last time I posted from Tektronics was pre I20.

I did, I admit, forget the crazy performance Iggy got out of his pre-I20 SS/FA/Soul brutes. And since the OP asked about Brutes specifically, I will admit I pooched that in my reply.

You are right that Iggy's SS/FA/Soul was killing it for Brutes.

What was the DB/ELE time or DPS?

I know Tektronics was hitting high times with his DM/SD scrap pre any incarnate besides Alpha.

  21. You will be ridiculed with your 1 post asking for a top build. There is the "read-the-forums" answer as this topic has been beat to death on the Scrapper and Brute forums. The Rikti Pylon thread on the Scrapper Forum is a good place to start especially if you look at the pre-Incarnate times of the different Primary/Secondary combos. Yeh, it's a lot to read. Spoonfeeding is bad, m'kay?

TLDR: 1 target, with AAO & Soul Drain saturated, DM/SD at present. Then again, there are better Pylon times from MMs, Crabs, and Corrs. But if you are set on Brute that's probably it. FM/SD with saturated AAO is probably second. And the scrapper versions probably outperform the Brute versions. Those would be my guesses.

    Cebr

Let me get this straight. By being exemp'd to level 1 and fighting level 2 mobs, you are able to earn enough exp to level up to 50 in 5 hours of farming? So they game isn't giving you level 2 mob experience -- it's giving you scaled +1 mob (to your level) as you level up?
  23. I'd just use this build, which has Phys Perfection in it. You'll have to mess around to swap out Spiritual Alpha for Ageless, but I'm assuming it will still have enough recharge to run the chain.

This isn't my build -- I forget who came up with it -- but is is a great build and the basis for mine (I went Fire APP for more AOE, at the cost of endo).

  24. [QUOTE=Ghost_Ripper;3775939Arcana or someone, Werner, Iggy, how can I improve this build? I originally had the guassian set in Focus Chi, but based on what y'all said, it is better to have it in for an every 10 sec rather than 30 sec buff, also helps with the end drain of FA. However, now I only have one slot o Focus Chi, where can I pull slots from and not screw up my build too much?[/QUOTE]

What are you trying to accomplish? There are 2 versions of MA/SD builds floating around in posts on the Scrapper boards that are soft-capped and let you chain SK-CS-SK-CAK.
