2xp - help me make a toon!
You want to try a MFing Warshade.
My warshade has been and continues to be, hands down, the most fun experience I've ever had playing this game.

Also, don't MF warshades need a ton of IOs ($$$) to be competitive end-game?
From the little I know, is it true Khelds still don't have mez protect outside of Lobster?

Warshades do not need any IOs to be competitive end game. They are still capable of capping their resistance and damage on SOs alone, albeit for less of an uptime ratio. My guide goes into detail on building an excellent MFing Warshade on any budget.

Traps/dark defender. You get FFG for some mezz protection. Drain Life gives you a blast/heal to help fill in mitigation. T.T. keeps things in your area of toys. The -tohit debuffs stack with FFG. It's good enough as is and if you do end up liking it enough to invest in it, there's tons of potential for procs.
Fire/Cold Corruptor.
In short you'll be super useful to the team, be able to solo competently and have good AoE/ST damage. When you get into the higher levels, Scorp Shield/Arctic Fog/Maneuvers/CJ will give you decent amount of defence to play with.
@Fail (Used to be @Tux) and @Tuxedo Infinitus Defiant/Freedom/Champion
Favourite Toons: Prosper [Ill/Rad] Controller :: Infinitus [Fire/Elec] Blaster :: Pocket Dynamo [Fire/Shield] Scr :: Fast [Cold/Sonic] Def ::
Inspire [Plant/Storm] Controller :: Quality - SS/Fire Brute :: Double Down [DP/Kin] Corr :: Pwnz [Fire/Cold] Corr :: Fail [Fire/Son] Corr
I second the MFing Warshade path and also suggest a Kat/DA scrapper. They take a bit to come into their own which makes starting one during 2XP a nice start. I did my sets for well below 500M (had some nice drops on the way and bought some of the more expensive pieces with merits) and she is a beast.
Hi everyone ... 7-year vet here looking for some help.
So I'm really out of ideas for 2xp wkd. The new powesets and prolfierated sets aren't out yet and I have a toon of toons already.
But it feels amiss to skip a 2xp wkd without doing something.
Anyone have good suggestions of a toon that could be IO'd with generic IOs and not require a ton of influence to kit out at 50? Say below 500M avoiding most expensive sets.
Appreciate your suggestions!

Classes to avoid: Tankers, Scrappers, Stalkers -- either have to many or don't like the class ... plus probabl making StJ and WM scraps come I21
Classes that interest me but I never have got into: Defenders, Khelds .... considering a Beam/Time Def come I21
Classes I probably should like more: Controllers
Things that bug me: not having mez protect
