  1. Looking for feedback on this StJ/WP scrapper.

Sits at soft-cap to S/L/E/N, with Shadow Meld for extra def as needed (alphas). Also has 635% regen with 1 foe in RTTC, about 50hp/sec at lvl 50 with no accolades.

Assume will run musculature alpha for dmg and perhaps Vorpal Judgement for extra def.

Issues: endo recovery seems a bit low -- couldn't find enough slots. Also, am concerned about the attack chain ... can't get CU down enough to run RC-SB-HB-RC-SB-CU.

    Suggestions/comments appreciated!

Also going electric armor I am not that concerned about endurance once I get agility and ageless going.
    Done.

    CAPPED.
My sense is that a scrapper would also need to run Ageless or a recharge alpha (Agility etc.) to get the to TW chain that Combat put together. I suppose a scrapper could run Musculature + Ageless to get there, plus get extra damage. That might be significant in the end game, maybe 10-30dps more from Musculature and crits (just guessing). But if they go that route they will lose out on survivability from Barrier or Rebirth.

To me, survivability Destiny was more important and I went Agility (Brutes benefit less from Musc anyway). I was getting 296dps and Combat is topping that on his build -- both with T4 reactive. I think that is "sufficient" for me to prefer the non-runners (inherent Brute taunt) and the higher survivability (more HP). Even if I do miss the criticals from all that delicious AOE.

    I thought they stack?
  4. OK I rebuilt it from scratch in a different MIDS. This version should have no MIDS issues.

Like I said, this build was designed to have soft-cap S/L/E/N and 635% regen (roughly 50hp/sec with no accolades) with 1 foe in RTTC.
I think it is a little shy of being able to run an StJ chain like RC-SB-HB-RC-SB-CU -- can't seem to get the recharge into CU.
The endo usage toggled up seems a bit high as well. I could fix that with Cardiac but I was hoping to go Musc.

    Really open to some suggestions.

  5. Can't explain what you're seeing. I'm using MIDS 1.95. Here it is again.

Be sure you don't have incarnate powers toggled on -- it has Vorpal Final Judgement in the build which gives like 30% def to all or something. The build *should* have close to 30% S/L with no toggles running.

I'd be grateful for any input on improvements, and what StJ chain to use.

    TW or StJ?

I have a TW/SR brute who is a great AOE death machine and great ST machine.

I ran StJ last night up to lvl 24 and the radius on Spinning Strike and even Sweeping Cross seems VERY SMALL -- with spinning strike, it would often not hit mobs on one side of me (it is a targeted AOE centered on the target). Really seemed to cut the AOE potential of StJ from what I expected.

When you use Burnout for double-Overload or double-Retsu etc. does starting the 2nd Overload/Retsu before the first ends allow you to bypass the end-crash? Or do you still end-crash when the first one ends?

MIDS says the arc is the same (90 degrees) as Scrapper, but has a 10 range on stalkers instead of 7. That extra 3 feet range probably widens the cone quite substantially.
  9. You are right, the build is without Hasten.

Importing here at work, the build shows BF recharging in 5.28 seconds and the AV chain (Ablating, Vengeful, Sweeping) taking 5.28 seconds to animate. So I still think it technically should work and be able to run seamless? Using the Spiritual alpha (turn on Incarnate) will lower the recharge even further.
  10. Yeh it's got shadowmeld turned on for some reason. When I imported it from here, it did not have shadowmeld turned on (just checked) and it shows: 45.7% S/L and 46.9% E/N.

I guess I'm looking for feedback on the build not just for def but for other factors like Res, Regen (showing 635% w/o accolades, roughly 50hp/sec) -- it was this push for survivability that led me to put Shadow Meld in the build.

Also in terms of attack chain. I couldn't quite figure out how to get CU to recharge to be able to run RC-SB-HB-RC-SB-CU -- it looks like CU is too slow by a second or so. Any other tips?

I spent a large part of yesterday comparing this build with its def and 1900hp (w/ accolades) and regen to a Stalker build (StJ/Nin) that was still soft-capped but can take advantage of the new stalker changes to AS (which gives 2 combo points). Ultimately I felt the Scrapper build would be better b/c of the higher hp and regen. But having played the build a bit (up to 23) I am finding the AOE pretty weak (lame radii on Spinning and Sweeping) and wondering if I should suck up the Stalker build instead.

    Thx.

Using Aracnatime, MIDS shows BF recharging in 5.05 with the AV chain taking 5.28, so it should be OK as far as I can tell (assuming hasten is up).
  12. So here is a try at a soft-cap S/L/E/N build for StJ/WP. What do you think?

  13. What is up with the crazy to-hit of Rularuu Eyeballs? My TW/SR incarnate running at +3/+8 required 1.3 hours and multiple deaths to get through this arc, not fun at all. Each spawn had 3-4 eyeballs it seemed, all of which had a 95% chance to hit me. With me having ~49% def to M/R/A.
  14. So I spent a ton of time in MIDS today mucking around with a DB/WP build that was at the softcap to S/L/E/N. I started with a build that Brand X had posted, but I was trying to get away from Body mastery ... ended up going Soul for Shadow Meld.

    Goals:
    softcap S/L/E/N
    >600% regen
    around 1900-2000 hp w/o accolades
able to run BF-AV chain and keep either 10K cuts or Typhoon (swap em) for preference
Reasonable endo (may be too light)

    assuming Musculature alpha

After all this work, I'm unlikely to build this on my 50 DB/WP who is really just an enhancement holder these days. Something about the lethal dmg really gets me down.

Anyway, here it is. Open to suggestions.

    * Add Build Up in that spot whenever it is charged.

What I believe will be a stalker DB's strongest ST attack chain will/can have the following:

-An AoE cone every 4ish seconds (Sweeping Strike)
-A PBAoE knockdown attack every 30ish seconds (Sweep combo)
-A damage resist debuff proc in Ablating Strike (Achilles' Heel)
-A damage resist debuff proc in Sweeping Stike (Fury of the Gladiator).
-The potential for 2 BU'd Assassin's Blade criticals (chain is fast enough to have 2 Assassin's Blades within 10s)
-Stalker's Guile purple ATO set into Assassin's Blade (1st Ablating Strike in chain will have more criticals).
-Hecatomb (5/6) set in Ablating Strike (Adds 33% chance for moderate NE damage)
-Armageddon (5/6) set in Sweeping Strike (Adds 33% chance for moderate Fire damage)

The chain takes about 5.2 seconds (Without BU). Just beware with great speed comes great end cost...
This sounds pretty awesome and I was trying to come up with a build to abuse this. I tried DB/NIN below but don't seem to have hit the recharge needed for the chain above. Has a bunch of empty slots so probably isn't close to optimized.

I tried to find a DB/WP build that could get soft-capped on S/L/E/N and use Shadow Meld PPP instead, but it didn't really seem that much better than a NIN build.

  16. I went brute (after trying TW/DA scrap) because the inherent taunt in Brute attacks makes sure all those mobs stay clustered around you for the AOE pain of Sweep-Whirling-AOD repeat. I hated the running I was seeing on my scrapper. Plus I got to either pick Gloom or Energy PP with 2 endo givers. Turned out the EnergyPP was a better fit and my build with CB in place of Gloom ran better. Check out the Rikti Pylon Thread in the scrapper forum for more info!
  17. Get ~300% recharge in Follow Through so you can run the patented super-high DPS chain researched by Combat: RA-FT-CB(orGloom)-AoD-FT repeat.
