  1. After this, I will derail the thread no more.

    Per ParagonWiki

Empathy gives you the ability to heal and aid allies as well as yourself. Empathy has no offensive powers, but its heals and buffs are unmatched.

Regeneration lets you regenerate more quickly from damage and effects. Regeneration offers almost no actual damage resistance, but your Hit Point and Endurance Regeneration can become so incredibly fast, that your wounds heal almost instantly. Those who possess this power set have little downtime, but risk the effects of spike damage.

Maybe Self Empathy is incorrect. Maybe just Self Healing.

    Empathy Power = Self Healing
    Healing Aura = Reconstruction
    Heal Other = Dull Pain
    Resurrect = Revive
    Regeneration Aura/Clear Mind = Integration
    Recovery Aura = Quick Recovery
    Fortitude = MoG
    Adrenaline Boost = IH

Sorry, but the powerset regeneration, no longer hinges on it's ability to regenerate wounds to stay alive, but rather to heal and buff itself.

BTW, is that a chocolate chip cookie?
  2. Here is a basic layout for what I personally would do.
Haven't chosen Incarnate, epic/app powers, and theres still a few slots to put in powers, and slot SL as you please.
    Is it cheap?
Not really, but not prohibitively expensive either, especially since it avoids the use of Kin Combats.

  3. I haven't botheres to read the thread, but what I'm getting from the thread title is

Spring Attack is the greatest power in the game?!?!?
This pool power is better than Foot Stomp?
    Awesome!!

  7. Not sure if anyone has mentioned this.

SS/Self Empathy Brute without accolades or incarnate abilites turned on:
    Regen: 760%
    Hp/Sec 57.27

With changes except turning on Spiritual Core Paragon:
    Regen: 1064%
    Hp/Sec 80.17

Please tell me it actually works like this in game now.
  8. Plus, that would imply that the Devs think ppl play PvP anymore.
  9. I'm the kind of player that in that situation, I would have grabbed 3 lucks from the Nurse in the hosp, went back into mish, aggroed two groups, and then pulled them into the pack of defenders.

They wanted you on the team, force them to help.
Show them that as long as the team works together, it isn't that hard. Once out of insps, just ask them for more before another rush, if they aren't forthcoming, or willing to run in with you, then it's time to solo or find a new team.
  10. Great write up Microcosm.
I do have a question before I go mucking around with stuff though. I'm thinking of binding the movement keys to powers, is that doable?
For example, bind hasten to the "w" key, that way when I walk forward, I try hasten?

Nvm, went back and read the original post a little more closely and found my answer, reading comprehension ftw!!
  11. Gobbledygook

    SM/Regen Broot

Are your powerchoices set in stone? (Yes, pun intended)

If not, /Em might be fun, as scrappers do not have that available to them.

Just a quick glance. One thing I noticed was the knockback protection IO in CJ. With Integration, you aren't likely to get knocked back, ever.

Will have a closer look when I am feeling a little better.

Also, whats your budget? and will this just be an all purpose, teaming, TF, and trial brute?

This is what you have mentioned at the top.
    Anyway, here's the rundown:
30.3% Smashing/Lethal defense (really wanted to soft cap, but couldn't find the room).
20.3% and below for everything else.
    31% Smashing/Lethal Resists.
26.9% and below for everything else.
Only 40% recharge without Hasten and Incarnate stuff.
631% (45.88 HP a second) Regen with only toggles active (no clickies).
    1746-ish HP without Dull Pain

My build has 35.3% S/L Def, all you need is a small purple and your softcapped.
Everything else is lower, but most attacks have a S/L component to them
31.3% S/L resists. Just like with Def, all other resists are lower.
    45% recharge without hasten.
    648% Regen (53.4 Hp/sec) Passive regen
    1978-ish HP without dull pain.
I also picked up Tactics, a personal choice for me, instead of Revive. Revive is a crap rez power, and Tactics provides you something you can't get just about anywhere else, confuse and fear protection.
There are also 5 slots that are left, as I have no clue how to slot the Earth Mastery powers.
Keep in mind, the HP and regen totals are with the accolades active.

Just saw this. And honestly, as soon as EM comes available for scrappers, I may roll one.
  14. Definitely wanna run this. So, should I bring my Fm/Wp brute, or my Ss/Ea brute?

Just occured to me that out of 6 toons on this server, they are all brutes, lol.
  15. Look in the scrapper guides section. I believe it was Evil Geko who has a bs/self empathy guide
  16. Beam Rifle. I'm not sure exactly which power it is, but the sound drives me crazy. If there's someone on my team with beam rifle (and right now, there always is) I have to turn the sound all the way down and just listen to music while I play.
  17. Looks like Conner is starting to show his feelings. Guessing KF wont be to happy about it.

    Kat/Ea or Db/Ea

I like FM on br00ts moreso than scrappers, as fury affects the DoT, but criticals do not.
As far as KM, I can not stand it. The animations and sounds drive me coocoo for coocoo poofs.

DM has very minimal AoE potential.

So for me leaves DB, Kat, or possibly claws.

I know which powers to take claws wise, but I really want a sword.

Is there a decent guide for DB around?

Thank you. I'm doing better now, had my Gallbladder removed, is all. And not allergic to anything.

As far as scrapperlock, I think I'm going to make a themed SG, scrappers, brutes, Heat/Veats allowed.

    Kat/Ea or Db/Ea

So, are neither one of these recommended? Or are they both pretty damned good?
  21. My firsttoon ever was a claws/regen, then after I/Os a claws/sr, a ss/sr a spines/wp. I have a lot of highly survivable toons. One thing I've noticed the last few issues is that tanks are a lot more hesitant, which I hate. I mean, I've had scrapperlock for 7 years. One thing I hate more than a hesitant tank is a leader that berates me for killing thegroup on the left, while the team works on the group on the right.

I always feel vindicated though, when ppl start following me into the spawns, instead the slomo tank and person with the satr. It was like that last week, on exalted. After I got kicked from the team, I got reinvited by one of the trollers. Everyone else had quit and reformed, w/o prior leader and tank.

I like to get tankbuster badge on all my toons and wear that as badge title.

Forgive any typing mistakes, just had surgery 8 hrs ago and percocets make me feel funny.
  22. A dev, can't remember which one, stated that all power sets will be proliferated for all appropriate AT's.
  23. Makes sense now. Sorry, had some percocet in my system when I was reading your post.

I also agree with what Leo says, that would be good for regen.

    Kat/Ea or Db/Ea

PREFACE: I am high as hell on pain killers right now, so please forgive ramblings and grammar mistakes.

Admittedly, I am an altaholic. Lately I have been running a SS/Ea br00t, and so far am loving it. So I have decided to make a scrapper with EA.

I have never gotten Katana or DB past the mid 30's, so was thinking about making one of them. The only question now is which one.

I like to perform stupid scrapper tricks. You know, solo the ocassional AV, jump into huge mobs, be last one surviving after a team wipe.

I come here seeking recommendations as to which power set. Suggestions are welcome, as well as reasoning behind such recommendations.

Thank you, than you very much!

  25. What if they made that change to the portion of Integration that isn't enhancable, as opposed to the enhanceable part.
