  1. It would also help to put as many slots into sprints as possible.
  2. Thanks, guys. Guess I'll have to learn from experience what I can survive under what conditions.

If there's something in the tutorial or something, I've forgotten about it. Although, this does sound like something that *should* be in the tutorial for beginning masterminds.
    I know it's mentioned somewhere in-game. I think it's in the Mastermind-specific help page.

Using inspirations on henchmen is still a bit tricky, though. Outside of binds/macros, it can be tough to do on the fly. Many times my henchmen get caught up in attacking and don't take the inspiration for a few seconds, which can be the difference between life and death in some cases.
  4. I think the main problem would be that it could give a more tangible advantage to people who paid real money. That's a can of worms I doubt the devs are ready to open.

I apologize for dragging the thread off the rails a bit, but I'd like to ask about this.

How does one level an Elec/Elec blaster solo? My experience with blasters usually ends up with me chewing on the floor. I'm trying again with Elec/Elec, but I'm not sure how best to go about leveling.

Once I get into the 30s or so, I can start stacking up the IOs to help me survive, but how do I get there?
  6. Also, AE is probably part of the problem. When playing in the Architect, you don't get the mission and story arc completion bonuses. Many story arc bonuses provide nearly a level on their own.

AE is great for experiencing other players' stories and gathering tickets for rewards, but it's fairly inefficient for purely leveling outside of farms.

This Twinkie represents the normal amount of DOOM associated with an issue release. Based on I20's DOOMiness, it would be a Twinkie... thirty-five feet long, weighing approximately six hundred pounds.

People have been asking for new pistols animations since the animations were revealed. A lot of folks would prefer a more straightforward shooting set, rather than the acrobatics we have now.

I personally like the current animations, but I built a character suited to them.

    My Brute Sucks?

Fighting Trapdoor on my DM/Fire brute was frustrating at first. The Bifurcations kept spawning in places I had trouble finding, and Trapdoor kept disappearing, forcing me to hunt him down. Then the moron got himself stuck under a ramp in the lava.

As a /Fire brute, I could stand in the lava all day. The fight went pretty quickly after that.

Plant is incredibly versatile on its own as a control set. I imagine that the goodness of Rad would go really well with it.
  11. I personally take Hasten on every character that has room for it. I hate being slowed. Fighting Psi-based enemies, Galaxy troops, ice enemies, etc. becomes a lot less painful with Hasten.
  12. I'm really, really awful at playing single-focus characters. Even in table-top games, I have to play druids and bards and such.

My experience is that VEATs are versatile, my Fire/Dark Corruptor is able to do a lot, Warshades look quite full of variety (though mine is only level 9), and Doms have some neat tricks.

My first character ever was an Ill/Kin controller, back in pre-order beta. In those days, soloing a controller was safe but incredibly slow. I've never really managed to get into one since I deleted that first one.
  13. I generally don't use the blasted tights (like Eiko posted) because they're rather bland. If I could add a pattern or secondary color, I would find it more interesting.
  14. My last stuck petition didn't get a response for fourteen hours. You're likely better off logging out without quitting the task force and dealing with it in the morning.
  15. On my Stalker, I can Placate them from just outside aggro range, of course, that only works if there's only one in the spawn.

Isn't there a smoke grenade temp power? Paragon Wiki has a Smoke Flash temp power listed, but it's not clear if it does -perception.

And on that note, you never lose the Patron Pool once unlocked. Early on in the I18 beta you lost access to the Patron Pool if you switched sides, but now it stays unlocked forever regardless of your alignment.

I was wondering about that. I had heard conflicting information. That it was changed explains why. Thank you.
  17. Paragon Wiki is a great source of information for just about anything you might want to know about City of Heroes. Here are a few links to information there which might help.

Information on the in-game e-mail system
    Information on chat in general
    Information on sending tells
  18. Subjective Feedback:

The (non-lion) large cats seem incomplete without a fuller tail. The current feline tail is rather small. It would be super-awesome if such a tail could carry the new animal patterns.
  19. Dual Blades seems to be a bit under-rated for stalkers. Any time AoE is mentioned for stalkers, all I hear is Electric and Spines. My Dual Blade stalker puts out very good damage, knockdown, and a bit of debuff with her cones. It's beautiful to see a pile of Rikti flop on their butts with "WEAKENED" flashing over their heads in big orange letters.
  20. I had this problem, but it had nothing to do with Alpha. The character most effected was only level 27.

In case switching your Alpha doesn't work, or someone else reads this with the same problem, what worked for me was turning all water effects off. I also had all environmental reflections off, which may have helped.

It took me days of talking to tech support to get it sorted, so I'd like to save others some time if I can.

  22. I got enough shards for my first Alpha ability (8 shards plus 150 Vanguard merits) in about 4 hours of solo play. Random number generator is random.
  23. Cottage Rule

Basically, Castle made it a rule that the devs would never alter the fundamental purpose of a power.
  24. I've said this in another thread, but I'll repeat myself here.

I was one of the folks clamoring for a solo-friendly option last week. I've teamed once in the past year.*

We got exactly what we wanted. All last week there was a chorus of, "Give me a solo option. I'm aware that it will take longer, but at least I will be able to make some progress on my own, and I'll get there eventually.

They gave us that. They're even going to allow exemplared content to create shards. You can hit any mission in Ouroboros and make progress toward your incarnate abilities. Literally everything you were going to do anyway is going to advance you toward Incarnacy.

Anyone still complaining has entitlement issues.

*Why do I play an MMO if I don't like to team? I love player economies, single players games do not have the level of depth and frequent updates of MMOs, and I like to have the option to team in the rare instance that I feel like it.

Let's talk about it when the same can be said for a fire dom or ice controller. Mind control is a unique case with some tricks that are useful for this specific task.
