Incidentally, Task Forces are much more fun while drunk.

Why isn't this thread on the Pinnacle forums?

They wouldn't even take notice of another drunk thread. -
Me: "So you really cannot use that sword?"
Ms. Liberty: "No."
Me: *plants a big sloppy kiss on Ms. Liberty*
*KAPOW* I go flying across the covention hall to hit the far wall.
Later, I wake up with Ms. Liberty hunched over me..
Ms. Liberty: "I'm so sorry. How can I ever make it up to you, honey?"
Then I really wake up in the hospital with a police officer at the door.
*ow* It hurts when I do that.

My SG is only me and another BMTers alt. I have TPers to all zones and a medbay and IO storage/Salvage storage.
No application form, no vent, no prestige grinding, just don't steal stuff.
[/ QUOTE ]
Sounds like my now-solo SG.
Maybe us soloers should form a coalition? That way we'd have a silent-but-lots-of-SGs coalition chat channel.

Ugh, I loathe stalkers that "go scout". They're always useless types who just leech instead of fight. I scrap with my stalker, i don't go clear the fog of war off the map because that's SO important :P
unless they're picking priority targets by tab or something. I have macros to automatically pick out sappers or surgeons and whatnot so I can spot them immediately and then rip their head right off to keep them from being obnoxious.

Wish I could do that with some teammates. -

As for me, I broke down, finally made a female toon, got it to 50, not because I was like, OMG I WANNA PRETEND IM A GIRL, but everytime I tried playing a Widow, it didnt look right to me. After 3 Male widows, I was like screw it, made a female one, dealt with it.
[/ QUOTE ]
I play many female characters. Never once did I think that I was that character. I make up personalities for them; they're often somewhat similar to my own, but they are not me, nor am I, them.
[ QUOTE ]
Sure as heck, as I lvl'd that toon, I had dudes all sending me rather interesting tells & had 3 Catgirls try get me out my pants(I dont even RP)
[/ QUOTE ]
You must hang with a different bunch of people or perhaps my preference to how women look (since I make my female characters look pleasing to ME) are different from everyone else, but I rarely get "hit" upon; except on the rare occassion when I take my female character to Virtue's Pocket D (because girls like to have fun).
[ QUOTE ]
Sometimes, I despise my gender & species(well ok most time I despise my species)
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, some of the things males say to women make me wonder about us males. But since I've been long time single, maybe I should be saying stupid stuff to women. At least then I'll be saying something to them.
As for the human species, it's the greatest species in the universe.
On to other topics..
I love high heels (NOT to wear, silly). So 95% of my female's costumes have heels of some sort. Yeah, they're not practical for fighting but this is a game of SUPER people; perhaps heels are not that bothersome to wear for them. (that's my excuse, and I'm sticking with it).

My first 50 is Sunbeam, which I still consider my "main" even though I do not play the character as often. This character originated in a Champions RPG campaign in 1992, and reprised in a Champions campaign a few years later.
Sunbeam
Kelly Ann Powers grew up wanting to be a fighter pilot like her father, but her admission application to the USAF Academy was rejected. After graduating high school she was taking flying lessons and her fiery crash landing was caught on video. The flight instructor was sent to the hospital with severe burns while Kelly was unhurt. The video caught the attention of a fashion magazine editor which started Kelly's career as a fashion model. Her swimsuit calender was a big hit and put her on the verge of supermodel status. But her manifesting mutant powers convinced her of her true destiny to help fight the rising evil. She joined a superhero team in Miami and after they disbanded came to Paragon City.
Notes: 1) Her father's name is Corwin Anthony Powers, whose initials are C.A.P., or Combat Air Patrol. Notice Kelly's initials? Why not Cheryl or Carol? Back in 1992 I was hot on the Cheers' character Kelly (Woody's girlfriend).
2) The name of our hero group in the Sunbeam's first RPG campaign was Force Five, which is what I named my SG when I formed it. And the name originated BEFORE that movie came out (Pulp Fiction). Also, that campaign ended when Hurricane Andrew came through a few months later, which many say was a force five level hurricane.
This is my current actively-played character, on Virtue although cloned on Champion as well.
Sweltri (Sweltry on Champion, and Virtue redside)
Hi! My name is Sweltrisameera, shortened by an arrogant city official to Sweltri. I am a Djinn, or genie to most of you, forever living, forever young, but forever bound to a master or else confined to a tiny prison. I used to have great powers; but my previous master, whose name of Senesim I shall never forget, stole them and cast me adrift upon the oceans over a century ago. A master long before then had trained me in the art of the sword. With that knowledge my current master, very kind and wise but without powers of his own, has given me permission to help this good city.
Wonderfully, some of my powers have been returning slowly. I have my power of flight again, and the highly recuperative powers of the Djinn are slowing returning as well. Only time shall tell if I gain more of my powers that were stolen from me. My age is unknown as I was born quite long ago in a rich and marvelous city that has been long destroyed. I have spent years serving many masters, and ages waiting to be released from my tiny prisons.
Notes: 1) The second paragraph is not in her in-game bio (no room), but can be found on her page on the Virtueverse.com website (wish Champion had something similar). A lot more details can be found about the character and origin on that page: Sweltri
2) Senesim is an anagram of Nemesis.
3) It's not mentioned by name in the bio (there's a listing for birthplace on the webpage) but the ruined city, Ma'rib, actually is ruins in the real world. -

We learn that the Rikti didn't destroy their own homeworld; no natural disaster occurred there. They were engaged in a protracted war with an advanced species from another world. In a last-ditch effort to save their own species, they jumped through a dimensional rift to arrive in our own universe. Their intention was to depopulate our planet and take it for their own. (Heck, it served them once before, right?)
[/ QUOTE ]The Rikti's homeworld wasn't destroyed... The Rikti invaded earth due to a Nemesis plot (seriously!)... Play the RWZ arcs

What AE mission/arc # is that?

[ QUOTE ]
I think it'd be better if Villain players can do an event to start a Doomsday Scenario, which would then launch in a hero zone somewhere out in the world, which the heroes in that zone would need to stop. Player-driven events! Villains do Evil Stuff, heroes stop it. Everyone is happy
[/ QUOTE ]
Not only am I having an 'evilgasm', but I'm having a 'herogasm' as well.
Someone else had mentioned that heroes might do something to cause a problem for people in the Rogue Isles that causes Arachnos and the *cough* "Destined Ones" to respond to. Now heroes would not do something like that on purpose, except when ordered by Longbow
, but they could do something inadvertently. For example, defeating Lusca causes the Coralax to get all upset (for whatever linked reason) and invade one of the islands; or even invade Talos Island or PI for that matter (favor the villainside, though). Defeating Hamidon (in the Hive, not in a TF/SF) causes a DE outbreak somewhere.

I wouldn't kick new map textures out of the sack, but I'd much prefer that energy go toward fresher, more interactive types of missions.
I hardly notice mission maps, except for the ones I hate (oranbega, layer cake cave room).
[/ QUOTE ]
I would like both, personally.
Also, I tend to feel like they are somewhat linked as you'd have to modify some of the existing maps to allow for these new interactive items to take place...
I'd also love new enemy groups.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'd welcome hero or villain zone spawns where Bosses or EB's from the Safeguard/Mayhem pools randomly spawn now and then in zones with a patrol mechanic in run/fly mode. Not sure what it has to do with customization or more maps, just something I've long thought would make the zones feel more dynamic and super-y...
[/ QUOTE ]
I'd like to see this. Sort of a 'little' Monster effect like the 'Giant Monster' events, only it could be defeated by a small group of characters. -

Can the Blyde Square music be deleted from the game and the FTP site please? Seriously... it's bad. Like 70's porn soundtrack bad.

Yes, please. It is the main reason I have turned off the music in the game. But then, after playing awhile, I'd rather listen to my choice of music from my stereo anyway. -

A few characters later and now I'm in love again. She has hair of shimmering gold (yes, another blonde), eyes of striking sapphires (young face 2, should see the eyes in the night), and curves that would make a grandprix racer have fits. She's a DB/Willpower scrapper. I even made a page for her on the Virtueverse website. I get lots of good comments about her main costume and description.

Please share her VirtueVerse page with us, your description has me intrigued.

Sweltri
It is still under development (I just caught a cold which makes it hard to concentrate *sigh*).
She won a costume contest last weekend, my first character to actually place first. I saw quite a few good costumes, but most did not have a description so that may have helped me, I mean Sweltri win. -
[ QUOTE ]
Have you ever had the experience of falling in love with one of your characters. Of just wanting to play them all the time you're on?
[/ QUOTE ]
I have fallen for several. My second character, becoming my first 50, was an energy/energy blaster based on a pnp Champions RPG character that I got to play in two separate campaigns. I have a small folder with pages of details and adventure history for her. When I showed that to the second gamemaster he gave me extra points! My disappointment was that I could not find a face to match the drawn picture I had of her (and tops-with-skin needs another color choice!). Yellow was her favorite color and every costume of hers had yellow somewhere, not counting her blonde hair. I was really disappointed when I found out you cannot change the colors of powers' sfx.
Then came the MA/SR scrapper, an auburn-haired beauty (I prefer blondes, but I'm not blind to other hair colors). I even made three issues of a comic book (plus one that is a secret love story where it's viewed as the reader, me, is part of the story), although I have yet to finish the second issue (the next scene requires a bit of editting). We have a special restaurant in Founders' Falls where we go when I'm eating at the computer.
A few characters later and now I'm in love again. She has hair of shimmering gold (yes, another blonde), eyes of striking sapphires (young face 2, should see the eyes in the night), and curves that would make a grandprix racer have fits. She's a DB/Willpower scrapper. Of wanting them to have all the accolades and best stuff, because the character is a little bit of awesome with a chaser of win.
[/ QUOTE ]
I do not care about farming or going out of my way to get the best stuff, but since I do spend a lot of time logged onto the character I'm bound to get all those things eventually. I like having to accomplish goals so accolades and badges are part of that. -
I do like soloing, but it does get old after awhile. And PUGs have been quite unfun as no one bothers to chat. My feeble attempts to add life and fun to missions are usually met with silence or the occassional "lol". I'm not specifically looking for chatty-Cathys as teammates, but some conversation other than "Ready!", "Gather", or "Herding to here" would be most welcome.
I'd like mission RPing, being an old RPGer, but won't care much for a lot of standing-around RPing.
AE missions are right out. Don't care for it, and.. let's leave it at that.
I have lots of free time (being retired early), so can game most any time (USA hours).
Blue side or red, that doesn't matter to me. I'm interested in fun, not how fast we gain XP or loot.
I'd be glad to start with a static team; I have one inside an hour and look forward to it every week (it's on Champion).
I have a VG with several of my alts already, so I'd like it to have coalition partners to help me find teams. I have an SG & VG on Champion and an SG Freedom as well.
I'll play on any server (I'm that easy), it doesn't have to be on Virtue (it is the same game on those other servers, after all... really
).
Send me a PM here or a tell in game @Traveller (yes, named after the scifi RPG).

I am happy with the new edition. Now I can have the eye shadow and lip colors be different, have the fingernails and toenails painted, and the new "/use Compact" emote will be used extensively by my female characters. The new mirror-equipped furniture items for the base will be welcome as well. I hope there will be some jewelry costume options added, too. -

about MMs..
I like attacking, so I take all 3 attacks that MMs can get and slot them, plus the vet powers, set the tier 1 henchmen to bodyguard mode, and charge in like some platoon sergeant. You stay pretty busy that way.And when you are feeling lazy like some cowardly general that stays back, you can send them in by themselves.
I would like to play a melee-oriented MM some day. -

Maybe the Devs should make those useless kiosks have game information, similar to what the wiki has? Click on a kiosk would provide a menu-driven help section about everything in the game. I'd prefer game information to be available IN the game, not outside it.
Also, it's not just the lack of skill that annoys me, but worse is the lack of knowledge about the game.
