Super Reflexes Auto powers (Agile, Dodge, and Lucky) now add some minor damage resistance.
[/ QUOTE ]
Unless it's a significant resistance value it's basically valueless. -

I want to stress that you actually can end up being buffed over 500% with Defiance. (500% is the max buff for Blasters) This actually does nothing except protect you from damage debuffs.
This is one of the rare instances in Issue 5 where a solo character is able to reach a cap without help (or inspirations).
[/ QUOTE ]
According to my testing it would be valueless for a solo to try to 'ride the line' when you start getting to upper levels. Even at level 24 any sizeable buff meant I was virtually guaranteed to be eating dirt. -
The max defenses aside from smashing/lethal (including SO six-xlotting them) should be at least 65-75% for a tank.
Any less and they won't be able to grab the agro from more fragile teammates. -
I played my blaster at 22nd level and a first level for several hours now combined on Test.
Trying to capitalize on this power will lead to death. There's no ifs, ands or buts about it. In my experimentation of those few hours it has resulted in more defeat than all of my Live blasters combined.
At best the power seems to be a background effect, nothing more.
At lower levels the damage difference is too low to really lower the current number of hits required to defeat an enemy, and at higher levels if you dally below 40% you are almost guaranteed to be defeated.
Additionally, an accuracy buff would be a good addition and might even outbalance the deficiencies at lower levels. There's nothing like having a 500% buff and missing that last mob three times in a row with your attacks only to be defeated. Only happened twice, but it was still annoying because I didn't have any health inspirationst o use. -

I don't mind one quicksand patch, but when they stack 6 of them in one spot, that's brutal.

I did a TF a little while back and had 3 rows of icons. Me and the tank were more or less out of the combat until it was done. -
Don't know if this has been asked, but is the range at least long enough to allow a blaster with enhanced range on their snipe to still gain xp?

Hurtful insults and disrespectful comments affect us. We are human. To have people disrespect you and insult you and something you have worked so hard on in front of the whole internet is disheartening and demoralizing at the very least.
[/ QUOTE ]
Unfortunately when you combine the anonymity of the internet with the passion a lot of people have with the game, you're going to wind up with a lot of monkies throwing crap at each other.
The boards provide an outlet for some of the steam that gets built up. It's quite hard to listen to some ideas that you think are beyond [colloquialism] and not say anything. And, in all honesty, the red names don't form a shield against it.
I, for one, would endevour to try and keep my comments more positive.
Or at the very least supply a grain of salt with my post. -
Warning: Detecting point of 0 credibility.
[ QUOTE ][*] Add a TF for SKULS.

You just lost all the credibility you built up in the previous paragraphs with this one... -
I remember four-slotting sprint, swift and hurdle because my toon didn't have a travel power in his design (I should, that was one month ago... Thank God for the bonus respec).
I remember beta when I was afraid of dying because debt was such an alien concept to me. In the back of my mind I was sure I had to re-roll my character.
I remember when they adjusted TI's time duration and recharge, then switched it to a toggle a week later.
I remember tanks taking provoke because they had no choice once blasters started getting larger attack powers.
I remember when Unyielding was Unyielding Stance and the tank blocked doorways when he was tanking so the blasters could launch AoEs at the villains and not draw that much fire for it.
I remember fighting someone with my controller down to 10 hp and having some jerk run by and Brawl him to death KSing me.
I remember port griefing.
I remember people not knowing how to use the search function properly and blind inviting you even though you're not lft... oh wait, that still happens. -

Invuln has Invincibility, which is auto-hit.
[/ QUOTE ]
Sorry, not to interrupt the everyone has huge powers that can do stuff idea, but from what I can understand about it, Invincibility only gives a pretty modest acc buff. -
[ QUOTE ]
This technically isn't possible with our engine. It would have to be a huge animated texture refreshing at 20+ frames per second.
We did think of it, but the engineers' eyeballs popped out of their sockets when we suggested it.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's when you say, "So, it isn't that it's not possible, you just don't know how to do it, huh?"
I love pulling that one on people... -

im canadian ans sleepy, board, and not getting any, i have no reason for a spellchecker
[/ QUOTE ]
So obviously we should pay the utmost attention to what you have to say, regardless of your inability to say it coherently.
[/ QUOTE ]
Coherent or not, it's really annoying to this Canadian, who happens to be able to spell properly, that he identifies himself as a Canadian and indicates it is a reason for being a poor speller.
There's also two shift keys on your keyboard in case one is broken... -

Well, the glowie was embedded in the wall, so there was no way to get it.
[/ QUOTE ]
I had to have a GM help with this the other day. The glowie was in a cave wall and you could hear it when you went past. He ported me to the closest point that I could be to it and I moved my cursor around and happened to notice that it turned into a hand near my feet.
Bingo, mission done. Thanks to GMs for their help. -

The respec difficulty is Broad Sword?
[/ QUOTE ]
Hehe...I read it as 'Ballistic Skill'. I guess I play too much Warhammer 40K. -

And instead of influence they'd use cartons of cigarettes?
[/ QUOTE ]
My bet is that Villains won't have Influence, but Infamy as their currency. -
My complaints about the hollows have nothing to do with the spawns or the mobs.
My complaint about the Hollows is that people in there are even bigger KS-freaks than in Perez. I avoid both those zones like the plague because of the players, not the spawns. I don't think Statesman can make us take a maturity test before we enter the zone... -

There is a bug where chat will move away from the bottom of the window when you use window scaling. This will be fixed in an incremntal patch fairly soon.
[/ QUOTE ]
Think it's more than that. I re-sized my chat window to something like 80% and the dialogue completely disappeared, didn't just go to the top. When I took it back to 100% it reappeared. -
[ QUOTE ]
You're absolutely correct. The problem is, once again, that the high level players (38) can battle against foes that are much, much higher level than they are. A small group of said heroes can find a spawn appropriate for them...whereas what's tough enough for a full group of 8 level 38's? It's much, much tougher for that large group to find something that's a challenge - and can give them great XP - than it is for the the small group.
That issue is next up - right after the Expansion goes live.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hey States, I don't know how many more times you can possibly say you're looking into make higher level mobs more challenging or that you should head to specific zones for higher numbers in your group before you throw your monitor out the window.
I've got a pool running and my bet is 18. You're only on number 11. If you make it 18, I'll split the donut with you.
