Based on your posts, I have to assume you think this is a good solution.

    YOU even labeled this thread as being about "Farming" to attract more attention to your "Folders" suggestion. At the same time complaining about the multitude of arcs labeled as "Farm meh!" more than half of which are likely ordinary missions trying to attract people who would otherwise be uninterested in playing their arc.

    If my random sampling of arcs played and created is any indication, folks creating quality arcs are in the minority. An increase in the number of slots available would just flood the system with EVEN MORE "complete trash" arcs, and reduce the incentive to improve the lousy arcs that have been created.

Standing away from myself, it would seem pretty silly to complain that I "only" get to make 3 story arcs. And maybe the "stars" aren't really important other than to my self esteem.     Actually, it's not, in my opinion. Based on what others have said regarding "paying for 5-star reviews" and friends providing high-rankings regardless of the mission quality, it makes perfect sense that an arc rating can decline to a point where it's no longer worthy of the HoF. Add to that the fact that HoF arcs can still be edited, allowing someone to dramatically reduce the quality of an arc. There's no reason HoF should be permanent, imo.

    Now, please play my mission "Free Terp & Friends" and one-star me simply because I agree that HoF should not be permanent. Thank you! Terp
  4. Well, at a certain price, offering an hourly rate makes good financial sense. Of course, that amount is well above the $0.25 the OP thinks is fair.

    If they allowed you to enter your CC and be charged $3/hr of playtime, they could certainly stand to make some money. I don't think many people would pay that amount regularly, but some would take advantage of it for various reasons, and some fools would likely rack up significantly higher monthly fees by playing more than five hours (which, I would expect to more than offset the loss of revenue caused by some folks who would have paid a monthly fee instead paying the $3/hr rate and playing less than 5 hours per month)
  5. I don't really participate in farming as I don't find it to be an enjoyable way to spend my limited play time.

    I don't see how enabling the farmers to farm without the need to harrass non-farmers would be bad.

    I've been playing for years now and farmers have been around the whole time. They have not ruined the game to date, and I'm not worried that they will eventually be the game's downfall.

    Maybe more people would be experiencing more of the new content if they weren't constantly accepting invites to farm teams that wouldn't exist if farmers didn't need their help.

    Give me a break. The AE system is like a farmers wet dream! Saying the devs won't consider a suggestion to allow users to increase spawn size simply because it might make farming easier is short-sighted.

    Simply because I think it would be a good idea. Folks will no longer get the random invites to act as fillers (which folks who don't like farming, and don't like to be "fill" would see as a good improvement). Farmers will be able to play the game the way they enjoy. You might even be able to argue that this would reduce the number of players farming overall, as the farmers would stick to themselves more, and as such would not teach as many other players how to run the best farms.

    Provided that the devs can set it up so that the system is not really at exploitable levels, I certainly don't see a problem with allowing players to set the spawn size for larger teams.

Once you free Terp & Co. you'll have your hands full with Grrr Elite and the AV Archer of Peace. Intended to be solo friendly, this mission is a blast no matter how large your team.

    This echoes my thoughts exactly.

    That being said, you'll never see players given the ability to kick others from the zone.

    I don't think there's a good solution, and it's probably too late anyway (some sort of change should have been made years ago).

  11. Add a bounty system to each of the pvp zones, and allow bounty to be used to purchase pvp IO's. I like it!

    I agree that the costs associated with pvp IO's would need to be significantly higher than SO's (5/10 times more?). In order to make these purchases possible, players should be able to keep their accummulated bounty even when they log-out.

    It would be fine, and a big plus even for those who have already obtained a number of purples, as they could free up some of their loot for use on other toons or to sell for profit.

    That being said, I don't expect the suggestion to be able to use a single enhancement for both builds will ever be implemented.

  15. Why limit movement up the ladder to one rung per win? This has created problems in the past that could be resolved by allowing teams to move up more than one rung at a time.

    If there's 6 teams on the ladder, and a new team comes in that's better than everyone, they should have a path to the #1 ranking that doesn't involve months of waiting for teams to accept challenges (I don't know the required time frame for scheduling a match after a challenge. Still two weeks?).

    Forfeits: If a team moves up because of a forfeit win, they shouldn't be able to move up again if they win by forfeit against the same team. (I don't think a team that wins by forfeit should move up, but rather a team that loses by forfeit should move down. That should help to reduce forfeits and prevent situations where a team might think it's in their best interest to forfeit a match (e.g., let's forfeit to the #3 team, so they jump over the #2 team)).

    I'd say the trash talk that goes on in pvp zones has turned many people away from pvp over the years. If cross-faction chat wasn't permitted in the zones, you'd probably have more people fighting.

    I don't think it's right to say that anyone who turned away from pvp because of the verbal abuse "obviously wasn't meant to pvp" being that the type of talk that bothers people really is not an integral part of pvp.

    Players who might otherwise stick around, learn from their mistakes, and improve, can quickly sour on pvp when their first defeats are followed by harsh insults.

    I don't know why any of this is difficult for folks to understand.

    Well, they could disable cross-faction chat in the pvp zones, presumably, but I agree that will not happen. That would improve the situation dramatically (though it would negative impact fight club).

    That all being said, I get a lot of laughs from the broadcast banter, but most of it is just dumb and doesn't add anything of value to the game. I enjoy it but think the game would be better off without it.
  20. The creation of an Underwater City environment might be cool, but I think it presents more problems than what it's worth. I doubt it will ever happen and think the devs time is best used elsewhere.
  21. Maybe there should be awards for "Best Suggestion of the Month" and similar penalties for "Worst Suggestion of the Month" in this forum.

    The award for "Best" would be a Free Character Transfer (between servers)

    The penalty for "Worst" would be a Forum Title that says "My ideas are bad"

    Exactly! I think it'd be nice to instantly switch between characters, but I don't think the suggestion is needed.

    There are "exploit" reasons why the switch couldn't be instantaneous, and if you need to maintain the 30 second logout, this becomes a minor QoL improvement that would likely require significant dev resources.

    Group Fly

    Instead of "Group Fly" maybe it should be "Grant Fly" and give players the same prompt that exists for Recall Friend. I think that'd be a cool change and the new Grant Fly power would likely get more use than Group Fly does currently.

    Group Fly is pretty terrible as is. The few times I recall teammates using the power were promptly followed by requests from teammates to turn it off.
