OK, so sometime in the future, your ex IRRETRIEVABLY deletes all of your existing toons.
Yes, even The Six Billion Inf Man, your soft-capped, purpled-out, perma-PA Ill/Rad.
And the global economy collapses. Again. And you can no longer afford the $49.99 a month it costs to play this game.
You've only got two slots. What would they be?
For me, I'd remake my main - an Inv/SS Tank - although I might remake him as an SS/Inv Brute.
My second would probably be a Rad/Sonic Fender. -
Quote:My bad, I was thinking Physical Perfection (which is still wrong cuz that's an auto as well.)Conserve Power does accept P-shifter, but since CP is a click rather than an auto, it's not as effective, since the proc only fires when CP is turned on.

Quote:DP/Devices Blaster or DP/Traps Corruptor seem to fit the concept best.Hey all
My girlfriend's gonna give the game a try. She's a big Laura Croft fan and wants to emulate her a little by rolling a Dual Pistols toon. In an effort to make her game time as enjoyable as possible I'm looking into secondaries she could use.
She hasn't chosen an AT yet but she's completely new to MMOs so ease of use is key. Nothing that requires a lotta knowledge of buff/debuff mechanics or would put a lotta pressure on her in teaming situations (i.e. Having to watch teammate's health bars)
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give. -
Quote:Not to mention, most people would rather have Build Up (or Hasten) on autofire instead of Active Defense.3) Not really a question, but i'm not sure what "It kills a power with build up." even means. Even rereading it a couple times i'm still not sure what your point was in writing that.

OK, somehow or another I got a power that was a Mish Teleporter with 5 charges on it.
Not the Mish TRANSporter (with the long recharge), this one had 5 charges with no delay in the use of each charge.
I cannot find this on the Paragon Market. Is it there? -
Quote:I'd recommend waiting beside the relevant contact and announce in zone broadcast that you're looking for a team.
TBH with you though, these things are so short that you could probably be halfway thru a solo run in the time it would take to form a team.
I usually like to do about 4 runs back to back, getting each reward option at completion. Takes about 30 mins to an hour for all four runs. It would take much longer if I tried to form teams.Quote:You solo the SSAs?
What level is your toon, how is s/he slotted out (any IOs?), and what Incarnate abilities do you make use of (if any)?
My main toons right now are a level 36 ice troller and a level 30 SJ brute. My brute might be able to solo it, but an ice/storm troller is definitely a team-oriented toon; soloing anything with that character is painful in the extreme.
But, like others said, your brute should not have any problems soloing these. Especially the first one which is mainly three "Run to the boss, beat him and his surrounding goons down, exit" mishes. The second SSA has a few more mobs that must be defeated before reaching the bosses.
Each SSA also has a mish where you have to run thru a cave and click on three different glowies. I don't even try to fight in those (till i get to the boss), just eat a purple and stand by the glowie and click till it works.
My suggestion is run thru each one a few times with your brute first, then decide if you'll need a team for your troller. -
Tuesday Oct 18th at 10 pm Eastern, Following Countess Crey (aka Manticore TF)
Level 30+, 7 to start, 32 merits.
If you'd like to reserve a spot, please leave your global, toon name and AT.
1. @GATE-keeper: N-TREPID (Rad/Sonic Fender) or Statesdude (DM/WP Brute)
2. @Doctor_A_Science: Doctor Taxibot (DB/WP Brute or Scrapper, I forgot which)
3. @dr. watson1: ?
4. @Green Wind: Skerik (SD/WM Tank)
5. @AdAstra: Winter Shock (Elec/Cold Controller)
6. @AngelicaVenger: Skittlebot (Bots/Storm Mastermind)
Since the purpose of doing these is to help each other level alts, we're going after xp, so we won't typically speed or stealth thru the mishes. We won't treat every mish as a Kill All, but we will kill it if it's in our way. -

Edit: nvm, just realized that I ran the Synapse SSA twice on Sunday, picking Hero Merit and 4xReward Merit as my rewards. That explains why I could not choose them today during the Numina SSA.

I'm sorry, I just don't see how this simplifies things.
Before, if I wanted build advice for an Ill/Storm, I'd go to the controller forums and wade thru the last 2 or 3 pages of posts looking to see if an Ill/Storm build had already been posted. (I think it's rude/silly/lazy to create a thread asking for build advice if such a thread has already been recently posted.) If I don't find one, then I would create a thread asking for recommendations.
Now you're saying, that after I do that, I then need to come to THIS forum, search thru 12 or 13 pages of Controller builds, Defender builds, Scrapper builds, Tanker builds, Blaster builds, Corruptor builds, Brute builds, Mastermind builds, Dominator builds, Stalker builds, HEAT builds and VEAT builds. And then, if I don't find what I need, create an identical thread to the one I've already created looking for build recommendations.
@Zwill and Co, I know you are trying to simplify things for everyone, but I don't see how this approach simplifies things. -
Quote:You can say that again!I used to run an event called MasterMind Mondays on Triumph. 4 MMs of any stripe will get you rolling fast. Thugs gets you collected Brutes (which you can buff depending on your secondary), and 4 Gang War is a hoot to see in open spaces.
As much as the traditional buff sets are easy (FF and Sonic) I find them boring in the long run. My Zombie/Dark MM is always busy doing something whether it be debuffing the enemy, attacking or buffing his pets.
Treuth be told even 4 Blasters would be fun but only for sheer damage output. 4 Defenders would be silly, 4 Trollers even more so.
Have fun -

Put another tally mark in the "Players who think this category is redundant" column.
If I want a scrapper build, I'm gonna ask in the Scrapper forum. Why would I also ask here? -
Who's on the far left?
I'm guessing the next person is Two-Face, then Penguin, then Killer Croc, dunno the skinny redhead with glasses, but then Barbara, Bruce, dunno who's to the left of Bruce (Scarecrow?), then Selina, Joker, Harley, Poison Ivy, Bane and Mr Freeze. -

Quote:Well, normal Stalker Hide gives you 150 stealth, so any stalker using Hide should be completely invisible to a sniper. And Superior Invisibility from Illusion Control gives 200 Stealth, so they're safe as well. Other than those two cases, I think you're right.Ah, fair enough Gate, I guess I just assumed snipers ignored stealth since my main exposure to them is nemesis snipers on nemesis missions and being more than 84 feet away from them at all times is not often an option when you need to run all the way to the end of the mission. At the very least you could say that nobody but a pvp-specced stalker is going to be rubbing shoulders with them undetected.
(as an aside, all of the perception and stealth numbers I've been using are PvE. Totally diff numbers in lolpvp.) -

Just to clear up a common misconception: Snipers do not see thru Stealth like Rikt Drones do. Snipers just have a very high Perception.
Here's how Perception and Stealth work in game:
A mob's Perception is the distance in feet that they can detect you. Most minions have a 45 Perception which means they can only detect you if you are 45 feet or closer to them. Snipers have a 149 Perception which means they can only detect you if you are 149 feet or closer to them.
Your Stealth subtracts from a mob's Perception. If you have Superspeed going that grants you 35 Stealth. This means a minion can only detect you if you're (45 - 35 =) 10 feet or closer to them. But a sniper can detect you if you're (149 - 35 =) 114 feet or closer to them.
A Stealth IO provides 30 Stealth. So if you've got a Stealth IO in Superspeed, then you've got 65 Stealth. Since this is more than a minion's Perception, then the minion cannot detect you no matter how close you stand to him. However, the Sniper can still detect you as long as you're (149 - 65 =) 84 feet or closer to them.
I don't know what Rikti Drones' Perception is, but their Perception is not affected by Stealth. So your Stealth value does NOT lower their Perception. Knives of Artemis and some Rularuu are the same way.
Snipers, however, are affected by Stealth, they're just so Perceptive that it seems like they ignore it. -
Although it's full of Timmverse alumni, it doesn't look like this is in the Timmverse continuity. (Hal as GL, for one, J'onn's costume for another).

You can't come to the crease and smash a century of 20 balls... maybe you'll get out for a duck... or you bowl your best spell ever and still get carted around the field without a wicket to your name.
