I didn't know about Nathan not being in the new season. I have to wait for it to hit Hulu. I'm not sure how I feel about no Nathan...

I just recently finished reading up to the current issue of the series and the subdivision was pre-farm. I think they used the CDC in place of the sub-division because they could draw that out into a couple episodes with some *real* safety instead of one episode in the perceived safety of the sub-division. Donna dies either way.

If I had said "Ur", you would be correct. But, I did not. I said "ur" which is not a word. It's a sound dumb people make when you ask them to spell out "you are".

I can honestly say that I have never done a single trial, TF, SF, respec or anything else like them. Not once. Nor do I feel as though I have missed anything. Let them have their XP farms. It doesn't affect me one little bit.

The Greene's barn is no place for hanky-panky. Unless you're into some really, REALLY kinky stuff. And...just...no. -
Because I think he feels pretty bad about it, and what he may have had to do and he doesn't want to break the news to her in such a harsh and realistic way. So, he tells the story about the Trail of Tears and brings her a Cherokee Rose that will represent Sophia eternal presence. He even leaves with that comment about how Sophia will "like it there". I think it's his way of saying, "I'm sorry, but your daughter is dead. I found the body." without having to actually come right out and say it. Besides, I think Carol understood what he was saying. The look on her face was on of sad gratitude. She knows Sophia is gone and Daryl just confirmed it. The one person in the group that was absolutely adamant that they would find her and she'd be OK.
-
I think the reveal will be that she was at the house and Daryl found her body in the ravine beyond the flower. The question will be whether she was dead or undead when he found her. The story he told about the flower implied pretty strongly that she's gone and he knows it.

I was thrown off by the wasted arrow comment, too. It's a re-corpseified zombie. It aint gonna bite you if you cut it down from the tree and rip your arrow out of its noggin.

Seeing this makes me even more glad to not have cable.

What about the fact that the herd suddenly couldn't smell food 2 feet away when we had already had an entire episode about their sense of smell? That's the part that bothered me the most.

Quote:I don't think that's what happened here. Twinshot sent her to KR to talk to Blue Steel, but upon zoning in her waypoint and contact were reset to the Detective (because it's the first time she'd been to the zone), so she went there instead of to Blue Steel, was given her Radio contact and told to do Radio missions. It is definitely a problem that should be addressed for new players. I almost got suckered by it myself and I "knew" I needed to go see Blue Steel and I "knew" where he was and it wasn't the direction my compass was telling me to go. If a veteran player who has been here (off and on) since day one can get confused, imagine how confused the newer players are and how unlikely they are to upgrade to VIP if all they ever know to do is Radio missions. It's about time we did something about that "feature." Once a player has a radio, the game should NEVER redirect them to a detective upon entering a zone. It serves no purpose, and the chances are really good that they already have a destination in mind when they entered the zone, so if the game changes their destination, new players will be VERY frustrated to find out they just went to the wrong part of Skyway, and that where they went is NOT the mission door.
I can't count the number of times this has happened to me, even after all these years.
I'm level 50. I've had a radio since level 5. WHY do I need to drop everything and go see a detective? -
Oh man...now I have to make Wartoise.

I agree about how the new tutorial doesn't actually teach you any of the things you need to know about the basic mechanics of the game. Which, to me, is pretty much the point of a tutorial. I want to learn how to use my powers/skills and use inspirations and enhancements. The new tutorial does not do a good enough job of teaching those things to new players.
What I suggest is putting the old tutorial (or a similar one that teaches the necessary game skills) back in and using the new tutorial as part of the game's story line. Finish the tutorial, talk to Coyote and advance to Galaxy City (this would be the only choice) where you find yourself fighting for your life against the Shivan invasion only to barely escape to Atlas Park where you begin your heroic journey using all the skills you learned in the tutorial and tested in the new "Starter Zone". -
I'm curious what her Origin is. Starting there is usually how I start working on a concept and back story for my characters.
I don't know what packs you have, but if you have the new Steampunk one your concept could be as simple as being a time-travelling steampunk badass. Zipping through time, kicking villainous butt in all your 19th century Victorian glory. Most importantly, it works for just about any Origin. -
I'm lurking in your forum looking at your arts.
They are all better than mine. I tried drawing a straight line once but doing so broke my ruler. -
Hmm...speaking of The Envisionaries...
Hi!
<waves hands frantically> -
I'm torn between outrage that they would remake a John Wayne classic, and excitement over a movie that looks like it would be a fantastic western, if only it wasn't a remake of a John Wayne movie. But there's also some hope that maybe if this is successful they'll also find a way to remake Rio Bravo and keep the original feel. I'd kind of like to see a modern take on that movie (being my favorite Duke movie ever) with the current crop of actors.

Quote:Oh, I agree with all that. I was one of the ones begging for it be implemented for real. I use to have a similar Add-On for WoW that I absolutely loved.due to its popularity, it also had become kind of a distinguishing term for the 15 developers who worked on coh from between the launch of cov to the ncsoft buyout. kind of a spartan type designation of the freem 15. humorously the competing superhero game took it as a visual indicator of a certain type of power attack, that may have been part of the reason for the eventual die off.
not at all, it was something that would have worked thematically(a good portion of us play with sound way down and music on anyhow). so while it was a joke, many felt it wouldnt be a bad feature. note that it is in the competing superhero mmo and in the freedom force games. besides, one of this community's strengths is that we like a good joke, it was a lighthearted interchange with the developers and everyone had fun with it. -
Much to our disappointment. You know your player base is immature when you put something like that up for an April Fool's prank and half your players are mad that you weren't serious.

Mine's pretty simple:
1 part ketchup
1 part steak sauce
half part yellow mustard
splash of worcestershire
salt and pepper to taste
Adjust as necessary to suit taste. Feel free to add, subract, multiply or divide ingredients as desired. I use it for a dipping sauce or on burgers. -
I feel all like welcomed or whatever.
It's great to see everyone again. Old faces. New faces. It all gives me a happy face.
