I haven't seen a thread about this show yet. Is anyone else watching it?

'I don't like the look of it at all,' said the King: 'however, it may kiss my hand if it likes.'
'I'd rather not,' the Cat remarked.
'Don't be impertinent,' said the King, 'and don't look at me like that!' He got behind Alice as he spoke.
'A cat may look at a king,' said Alice.

Watched them all over here, love the series, can't wait for the new season, although without my favourite character, not sure how good it will be :S

Its very good in my opinion.

Has a bunch of largely unlikeable characters that are strangely likeable

It also does a fairly decent time travel story arc. Which is worth mentioning because time travel story arcs are usually pancake.

This is a song about a super hero named Tony. Its called Tony's theme.

I love misfits. I can't wait for Series 3.

Little bit wary of a new character coming in, but ah well.

I loved it. Cant wait for season 3.
I will miss Nathan for sure, he got the best sentences.
But I love Kelly too, and her accent.

It won't be the same without Nathan, but my favorite is Simon.

Same. (Doesn't hurt that I think Iwan Rheon is gorgeous.)

In case anyone didn't notice, the new season started a couple of weeks ago.

Still good stuff IMHO.

I didn't know about Nathan not being in the new season. I have to wait for it to hit Hulu. I'm not sure how I feel about no Nathan...

your = Belonging to you.
you're = Contraction meaning "You are."
Ur = The name of an ancient Mesopotamian city.

I've watched Series 1 & 2. Loved the show. Waiting on all of Series 3 to come out here before I watch the rest of it.

Have they ever left the dark and disturbed place they started out in?

Me too.

I didn't really care for Nathan though, SO... I won't miss him much anyhow.

Love the show. And it has also potentially resulted in one of the greatest nightmares ever visited on mankind. They are doing an American remake.

The Being Human remake was good (though not as good as the original) so remakes can be done well.

But I can't see Misfits being done well because they will reduce it to a g rated or at best pg rated show.

I have the feeling that an American Nathan will just be plain annoying rather than annoying/funny.

Yeah, prettymuch.

I expect at least half the American characters to be unlikeable douchebags.

Love the show, the characters, the music and the story.

Cannot see this directly translating into an American 22-episode per season format with the same characters.

I would like to see an American version postulating that the same empowering event happened in America, and following a group of American young adults with the same punkish overall feel, dark themes and lighthearted superhero deconstruction. For bonus points, the two shows could refer to each other in news reports and the like.

Story Arcs I created:

Every Rose: (#17702) Villainous vs Legacy Chain. Forget Arachnos, join the CoT!

Cosplay Madness!: (#3643) Neutral vs Custom Foes. Heroes at a pop culture convention!

Kiss Hello Goodbye: (#156389) Heroic vs Custom Foes. Film Noir/Hardboiled detective adventure!

I think this could be cool. An American spinoff from the same event. An American Nathan would just be a jerk, rather than a charming jerk.

first, the 22-episode format only exists nowadays for sitcoms, just about everything else runs 13 episodes. i would love to see this as a cable show, say showtime or starz or something, allowing for a more true-to-form show. and i really like the parallel story idea

Oh yeah, that was the time that girl got her whatchamacallit stuck in that guys dooblickitz and then what his name did that thing with the lizards and it cleared right up.

screw your joke, i want "FREEM"

It would also be cool to explore some different (but also low-budget) super powers.

Really? Quick, someone get a hold of:

House
Glee
Desperate Housewives
The Good Wife
Supernatural
Terra Nova
The Secret Circle
The Vampire Diaries
Grey's Anatomy
Sanctuary
Fringe
(to name but a few)

and tell the writers they don't have to do any more episodes after the 13th!

I personally find the storylines absolutely ridiculously over the top... But I love it for that.

Finally caught up with the first 3 episodes of season 3. A bit more emo than seasons 1 & 2 but still solidly entertaining. I miss Nathan. The new guy is basically a clone (heh) as far as being a jerk goes but he doesn't have the charm of Nathan to temper it.

And I think I've figured out the answer to the Simon time travel dilemma. I'm probably wrong but it seems obvious to me.

He could trade powers with Rudy. <.<
