There's only 1 player notes file per account: playernotes.txt
All toons on that account that add a player note add it to that file.
As for logs, you'll get a distinct log file for each day (by date).

In addition to what the others have said, also make sure your mail box isn't full.
In terms of attachments, I believe the limit is around 20 or so.

Quote:Welcome Back.Cue this last hiatus- 154 days since I last logged him in, according to the screen.
I Ninja Ran over to the market to check on his unique- SOLD! Whoohoo!
I check the amount- 500 million! Double whoohoo@!!
Nice little score - I have a handful of those sorts of items waiting for "ultimate
patience" to catch up to them as well.
I'd yank and re-list low value stuff but all of these are high value items
that essentially price-tanked ... for awhile ... hopefully
That's another value to lots of alts - I can afford to let a couple slots here
and there languish a bit (ok, indefinitely) until those casual warshades
realize how bright, shiny, and ultimately desirable my high-priced items are.

Quote:Or put another way (not to burst OP's bubble), make it 1000% and everything
Defense cap for a defender is 175%, and even at that mobs with 50 to hit will still
have the same 5% chance to you hit as if you had 45% def.
edit before someone gets smarmy: yes I know there are enemies with
higher than 50% base to hit.
will *still* have a 1 in 20 (5%) chance to hit... 5% is the hard minimum.
Of course, the chart still looks cool...

So, ya - piece of cake...
(I kid)
Occasionally, when I'm bored, I bring in my twinked out SS/WP Brute and
go toe-to-toe with GoS and his cannon fodder stooges.
The Brute character is immune to him due to his high res and reg, so there's
no danger of him losing the fight.
On the other hand, he can't put out enough damage to even scratch the
paint on GoS (even though he can solo a Rikti Pylon).
So, it ends up being a complete stalemate that looks like an epic slugfest of a battle.
The amusing thing, is that after a few minutes, enough ppl wander by to
watch, that a team soon forms and GoS gets sent packing...
Big Fun. (OK, I'm easily amused)
Regards,

PS> I only have one other character (a tank) that would even consider
going toe-to-toe with him though (and he can't kill GoS solo either). -
Thanks for the info guys/gals, much appreciated.
So far, I haven't seen any slow effect against anyone he's fought (CoT,
Hellions, Skulls, Arachnos, etc.).
However, it occurs to me, after mulling it over and reading responses, it may
be level-based perception. Right now, he's a lowbie (L24? or so), so perhaps,
it is a simple case of "a percentage of a low number might be less obvious
than the same percentage of a higher number).
ie. say movement speed is 10 at L20 - the 40% brings it to 6...
say movement speed is 30 at L30 - the 40% brings it to 18.
It might simply be harder to see (now) the difference between 6 & 10
vs. 18 & 30 a few levels down the road.
We'll see.
As Milady's_Knight mentions, the most effective use I've found for it so
far is to cast it around me. That has been helpful - slowing them? Not so much.
As for slots, my current plan calls for only 3. A bunch of my other powers
need 6 slots (for TStrike, Gaussian, and Mako) to cap ranged def - that
doesn't leave too many for RoF. As mentioned in the first note, the 3rd
slot will (eventually) get a Ragnarok KD Proc in it which should help it's
mitigation and scatter.
Thanks again, for your respones.

Quote:Oddly enough, I'm the nearly the opposite. If I need an odd Common IO inCommons or Sets? Sets I can understand if there aren't any recipes on sale
and people really want them NAO, but commons I don't get because you can always
buy the recipes from a crafting station and have it almost always work out cheaper than
buying crafted.
any sort of time sensitive way, I buy it NAO. The 200-500K or so, is loosely
"a penny" for most of my characters (using Fulmens' excellent analogy).
For lowbie toons, or bulk commons, I agree, and usually buy stacks
of crafting ingredients in prep for crafting the key IO's (Acc, Dmg, Erx, Rrx)
that I'll need along the way while a toon levels into set ranges (post L25+).
For sets, I rarely buy NAO (unless it's a throwaway substitute). I typically
have my set bids well in advance of when I plan to slot them, at prices I'm
willing to pay, even if it takes awhile to get them.
The other side of that is that I don't always consider (or care) if it's the
best deal or not - In some cases, I'll throw R-merits or A-merits at a specialty
item if I want it NAO and none are readily available. Sure, it might be more
cost effective to convert the merits to inf and buy more efficiently, but one
of the (few) benefits of merits in my mind is the convenience of getting an
item NAO when none are currently available - that's worth some inf to me.
Particularly with the desolate mid-range market we've had ever since merits
were introduced.

No, Victoria, this isn't about Incarnate / Reactive
I just recently got this on my L20 Fire/Nrg Blaster, and I'm having a *wth* moment?
In reading the description and detailed info, I see a -40% slow on mobs listed.
Unfortunately, when I cast it, I don't see any slow effect at all in actuality.
Mobs run in and out of it with complete impunity as far as I can see (apart
from that impressive 1 dmg / tick they're taking while in it).
Further, you can't actually improve the "slow" attritube since the only sets
it will take are TgtAoE (which don't have any slow enhancements).
So, what gives?
Is this just an error in the description, is it bugged, or am I missing something?
I'm planning to put a %Chance for Knockdown Ragnarok in it eventually,
but I'm starting to wonder if I should have skipped it and taken Fire Breath
instead (despite not liking cones particularly).
RoF is graphically appealing, and suits the character's concept better, but
I'm extremely underwhelmed with its apparent effectiveness so far.
Thoughts?

Nifty idea, that... (new to me, too)
I'm not a fashion-hound (most of my toons don't use all 4 regular costume slots
as it is), but for folks that like their costumes, this could be handy.
Thanks for mentioning it Fulmens.

On mine, I typically add a slot or two to Hide.
It serves as a handy place to slot a Kismet 6%, a Karma -KB,
or a LotG Recharge Speed (or all 3).YMMV.

One other point to add to the "win" scenario:
KB from directly above = Knockdown (in place).
This is a technique that I use on my Peacebringers (and other flying
KB toons) very effectively -- Hover Blasting ftw

Gracias.
The clickies, and Light Form, I knew about. The others were the ones I
needed to know... I'm assuming the fitness inherents (Health & Stamina)
carry over?
That's a shame about Maneuvers and Tactics though, the +def and +perc
would have been nice to have while hover-blasting from Nova... Oh well,
guess I can drop the Leadership pool in that case.
Once again, thanks for the update.

Not to knock on anybody's playstyles, but to my way of thinking, A stalker
without AS is like an MM without pets, a Kheld without Nova or Dwarf.
In short, it's the entire point of the AT.
Can you play them that way? Sure. The question I'd have, is if you weren't
going to use AS, why didn't you just roll a Scrapper or Brute?
My AS is up every 8-10 seconds, and to me, the point of the AT is to find
the ways to gank the mobs with it... It's why I play a Stalker.
My Brute, of course, just wades in and pummels stuff, and my Khelds use
their various forms to suit the situation at hand.
I often find myself saying "wth?" when I see these threads, because the
point to me is to play each AT to its signature strengths. <shrug> YMMV.
A "viable" flipside to that argument is: To play an AT without its signature
powers, just for the challenge of that. If so, fair enough.
As for my stalker(s), herostats tells me that my #1 usage power is: AS

...since I spun up a new Kheld. Recently, my once-a-week teammate decided
to finally roll up a WS (an M'Fr version a la Dechs' guide), so I offered to start
another PB to tag along (sorry Dechs - I can't do the WS, I'm a PB guy)
Anyway, last time I ran one consistently, only certain click powers carried over into
forms. With all the new Issues since then, including inherent Fitness, etc. I wonder
what carries over these days?
Health, Stamina? How 'bout things like Maneuvers, Tactics, Set bonuses,
etc.? In short, a summary of the recent "rules" would be very helpful.

Well, a few thoughts here (in no particular order).
* We actually held the #1 spot for appx twice as long (~6 mo?) as it took us to
obtain it from scratch (~3 mo or so)... 0 to #1 in that time - Not too shabby.
* Given the first point, I think it's pretty clear that we could take it back
anytime we feel so-inclined.
* As for other servers, I'm dis-inclined, personally. Virtue served the purposes
that interested me. It was an amusing lark, it annoyed a drama-queen in another
group, it proved it could be done with nothing other than inf conversion, and
finally, I think it also clearly demonstrated that burning hundreds of billions of inf
still won't have any appreciable, measurable affect on market prices, or in-game
inflation (ie. The Fulmens Hypothesis).
* Finally, Granny is a lvl 2 character on Virtue. She's never "arrested" anybody,
and isn't actually going to be played except for the 88's Virtue SG project.
While she is likely to burn more inf there (she inf-cinerated a couple hundred
million over the wkend), I'm highly doubtful about making other toons like her or
going to the time and effort to take over other servers.
Don't get me wrong - I'm not saying it can't be fun, but for me, "been there,
done that" - I'll leave the other servers to you guys

I'm in the /WP camp also.
My /Inv Brute is coming into the mid 40's and finally has enough defenses
to thrive - I'm sure it'll get better from here on out with that toon.
By contrast, my /WP brute's resistances and more importantly +regen were
in place early, and that made it much more playable (and beastly) from the
20's on up, and Incarnate makes it even better now.
Reviewing their careers, I find there's no situation (so far) where
I'd take my /Inv over my /WP. Perhaps that will change when the /Inv
hits 50 and gets into the Incarnate content, but I haven't seen signs
of it yet.
That's not to say /Inv isn't an excellent secondary, but for me, I prefer
the /WP Brute. YMMV

I'll check with Granny this weekend and see if she's sitting on any flammable inf.

Some funny, funny stuff in here.
I too, am a Von Grun fan.
But the ones that always make me laugh (I don't quite know why), are the
missions given out by The Radio. Not the missions themselves, mind you,
but the descriptions given by the Radio itself - All my villains have to run
those, and I still laugh that the Radio's "dialogue" every time...
Radio! Radio Free Opportunity!

It's almost like the increased supply of salvage from all the new low-level characters
is causing prices to lower... hmmm... -
Well, if you really prefer "set once and forget" toggles, go with /WP instead
of /Nin.
/Nin has lots of toys, and is fun to play, but it's a very active secondary.
Even your mez protection is a clicky.
/WP is also fun to play, but it's nearly all toggles. Turn 'em on when you
log in, and go to town... You won't touch them again unless you die.

Something to consider:
2 L15 Acc Common IO's would give you 38.4% improvement to Accuracy
which is on par with a +3 SO before you can even slot SO's and you can
get them about the time you'd historically get DO's...
2 L20's would put you over 51% improvement, and very probably softcap
your attack's Acc against most common PvE stuff in that level range.
Frankenslotted set IO's perform even better than these...
Personally, I haven't slotted a DO in a toon in years, and I can count on
1 hand (with fingers left over) the number of times I've slotted an SO over
that same timeframe.
That said, I'd also speculate that OP was fighting CoT. Spectral Demon Lords
can be quite the pita with their debuffs at that level, even with the better
slotting options I mentioned.

Quote:I suspect this is quite simply, inaccurate. While it's true that there wasI once asked longtime players where all the inf came from
and my understanding is that many people had accumulated
several years worth of inf before the market came out.
little (or nothing, depending on perspective) to spend inf on back in the
day, it's also true that the only way to make tons of inf was to grind it
out through kills over long periods of time.
While I'm sure that some folks did exactly that, I'm highly doubtful that
most did. Speaking solely for myself, my L50 main only had ~30M total
on him before the market, and he was, by a wide margin, my richest
character (having played since the beginning).
These days, even my lowbie toons have 100M+ on them by the time they
reach L10-20, primarily through use of the market.
No contest between the two cases. Earning inf these days is easier by
an order of magnitude than it was back then.

It greatly depends on the niche/item.
For common salvage, I always list at a flat price and take whatever I get.
For rare salvage (or "high ticket" salvage), I'll usually list at 75-80% of the
last 5 (moves a bit quicker that way, and still usually sells for Last 5 price).
For niches I've been active in for a long period of time (and know the
behavior patterns well - including certain set and common IOs), I tend
to maximize the RoI more.
For stuff I dabble in, I'll usually be happy with 50%+ over costs (including
fees).
For purples, I look at those individually, since fees can be a big hit to P & L
and pricing volatility can bite you in the @$$ if you're unlucky, or careless.

Woohoo! A #6 post!
I haven't seen too many of these lately. My faith in our player base is restored.
Oh, and there is an extremely simple solution when prices seem sky-high...
SELL!!!
Or put slightly more practically, produce those goods (in AE, Ouros, etc.)
and claim some of that opportunistic inf for yourself...
OR
... complain about rampant greed and broken markets on the forum -- All Good...
Happy Friday People!

I agree with JD Gumby.
For PvE only, Hide is enough. Any PvE foes that can see through Hide
will also see you even if you're fully capped for stealth.
Now, for PvP, it's a different kettle of fish.
You need 3 Stealth Powers to reach the Stealth cap - the common way
is through Hide, Stealth (pool), and a Stealth IO. At that point, you can
only be seen in 5 cases:
1: By High perception Widows (and Banes?) who have a higher perception
cap than all other AT's. IIRC that's in the neighborhood of 100-150 ft
or so..
2: By High perception players (capped) within 10 ft.
3: By somebody standing next to Police Drone(s). I'm not sure what that
distance is, but it's pretty far.
4: By anybody if Hide is broken (ie. thru an attack or from taking damage)
5: By anybody (for a brief moment) when you first get within game drawing
distance (ie. the point where the game adds you as an object to the
scene). In that case, you'll blip in for just a second, and then the game
will realize you're stealthed and you'll fade out quick.
So, for PvP, the short answer is take Stealth from the pool.
Now, since we're in the Stalker forum, I'm going to add that I also take
Invisibility. Why? Point number 4 above. If you attack somebody,
*everybody* else will jump in to gank you (that's pretty standard).
That damage will prevent Hide from activating. However, Invisibility is
unsuppressable, so at the point where you've decided to bug out, flip
Invisiblity on (note that it precludes Stealth - only one of the two can
be active at a time). if you're trying to escape, Invis will work when Hide
will not. You're still taking damage, of course, and you can't attack, so
it's purely defensive, but in PvP, it has saved me many times...
And, of course, if you're going to PvP, you'll definitely want Phase Shift
too (unless you enjoy dying a lot).
The key point is that PvP and PvE are *very* different, and consequently,
your power picks differ for each as well.
