Some questions
Not in my opinion.
Hides defense bonus is insignificant during combat.
Specifically
When hidden Hide provides 5% defense to Melee and Ranged attacks and 35% to AoE
While not Hidden it provides 2.5% defense to Melee and Range.
You're better off taking those slots and putting them in other powers.
Putting a LoTG 7.5 Global Recharge IO in there seems to be the best bet to me.

On mine, I typically add a slot or two to Hide.
It serves as a handy place to slot a Kismet 6%, a Karma -KB,
or a LotG Recharge Speed (or all 3). YMMV.

i would have to say...slotting it depends on what you are planning to slot into it. LIke there are some interesting sets that you could slot into it for specifc bonus'. BUt also there are specific enhancements that might be worthwhile as well. And then of course there are those who are just the types to try to get the most out of things who may just be trying to get more defense no matter what.
You will notice it gives defense to not just melee and slash and such it gives it to all...
This may or may not be worth it to slot....
Again it depends on what your ultimate plan is.
Just remeber it is a defense set accepting power...so there are some good enhancements like + global recharge and knock back protection....and combined in mutiple places are very effective.
The peopel on this message forum remind people of things like this last part alot.
I tend to add a couple of slots, but it depends on how slot-hungry your build is and what you're building for: it's about as useful in slotting as Combat Jumping since the suppressed defense value is the same, there's no endurance cost, and while it doesn't take universal travel it does take all of those nice defense globals and uniques. Since Nin is a defense secondary, the extra little bit of defense helps when you're aiming for the soft-cap... if I have the slots available I'll throw in a LotG Defense and Def/Rech to go with the 7.5% and get some extra hp and regen.
it has gone from unconscionable to downright appalling that we have no way of measuring our characters' wetness.

Hey there all you sneaky hidey people. I recently made a new stalker, Martial Arts / Ninjitsu.
Ninja Reflexes and Danger Sense are probably worth slotting to 4 or even 5 if there are some Defence Set IO's you fancy using. But my question is Hide. Now, there is an interesting little toggle, in as, it doesn't use ANY endurance! And while its running its boosts your defence, so is that worth slotting up to 4 for a set too?
