Quote:I think he was pretty clear.Everybody who was on the planet when it got zapped died, but there were survivors. What's your requirement here? Extinction or planetary destruction? Both? I'm sure there are a few global plague/zombie apocalypse movies that wipe out the populations with (relatively) little property damage. In Beneath The Planet of the Apes I believe all life on Earth was extinguished.
1. Earth subjucated, i.e. conquered by aliens.
2. All of Earth's resources taken.
3. All native forms of life used for "spare parts". (see food, used as parts for bio mechanical machines, or even unwilling organ/limb donors)
4. Earth left a barren dead planet.
Technically "Beneath the Planet of the Apes" doesn't count because the people that destroyed the Earth were mutated human beings. Even the Apes were terrestial in origin, and although there was time travel involved everything originated from Earth. -
No. Crafting fees are in influence. You use salvage to craft base recipes into items which is paid for with influence. Prestige pays for placing the base items and you get that back if you delete the item.

If you want more +rep check out these Doctor Who clips.

Quote:Don't forget that when Praetorian characters join their first SG, that SG gets 100,000 prestige. It's only the first SG that gets that boost but you get it for each Praetorian that joins. So if you make 5 Praetorians and invite them to your SG you get 500k prestige. This is the solution. I'm bought extra spaces and placed the tables(4@150,000 prestige for each roughly). Now I don't have to waste anymore time in the WW or BM. Solo SGs all the way for me now. My SG is now an SW(Super Warehouse).
Now I can focus just on the gameplay again.
That makes building your base a lot easier. -

Give them all the other colors tho. -
Quote:This. I'll take quality over quantity every day of the week. The Venture Brothers' pilot, The Terrible Secret of Turtle Bay, was animated in Flash, with all the quality you'd expect. That experience probably turned them off computer-generated animation. Besides, cell-shaded CGI wouldn't recall the Johnny Quest-style animation from the 60s that grounds the show.

WTF!?! Seriously. Did MGM fire all the old writers and hire new ones? If so why didn't they do this earlier it might have saved the show.
Great episode. -
Uhm. Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. Vogons blow up the Earth and everyone on it.

Quote:You can do a respec and sell all the ones you didn't slot.Where can I sell these besides WW and the BM. My queue is full on all of my characters now. I have to get ride of this excess.
And if the stuff you have on the market isn't moving fast enough you could always lower your asking price. -
Yes.
Remember when we had to go to each consecutive stop on the train in order to get where we were going? -
Quote:I'm gonna agree with Lothic on this. There's literally tons of (in my opinion) crap I can't believe is still on TV because I refuse to believe people are stupid enough to watch it, and there's just as many shows (and movies) I can't believe weren't huge hits and got cancelled and sometimes pulled off the air before the first season was over. We're the experts? Seriously? lol
We're a collection of nerds and/or comic books geeks who have collectively chosen to waste our time to talk about a show in a forum that hasn't even aired yet about a fictional comic book hero. If that makes us "experts" on anything then I've seriously underestimated the power of the Internet.
I'm 40 years old and I'm guessing that I've seen dozens of shows come and go long before most people posting on this thread were even born. I'm not naive about the chances of this new show. On the other hand I was dead certain that shows like Smallville were going to be cancelled after "a few episodes" and somehow it managed to last 10 seasons.
I guess my point is there's really not much point in pissing on this show before anyone's seen it. If it sucks as bad as many people assume it's going to it'll be gone soon enough. I'm still going to be happy that it happened at all because at least a recent failure would be better for Wonder Woman than saying "it hasn't been on TV for 32 years". (*drink*)
As far as me bothering to "post a highlight video" I won't have to bother - it'll be on YouTube soon enough regardless.

Quote:Actually I read your post a couple times then went back to my posts to check what I said in them. I'm actually glad to hear I misunderstood what you meant.I think you skimmed over what I said a little too quickly. I said we all know people would be mad if they removed items from the Vet awards but probably wouldn't mind things being retroactively added. It would be a "good" thing.

Personally neither do I, but the cynic in me isn't optimistic.Quote:I really don't see a problem with adding anything extra directly to the 45 and 69 month awards, even if it's something as simple as extra inventory slots or the like. I don't really understand why they could only add stuff as long as it was "periodical" like your example. *shrugs* -
That's probably what helped throw me off. The tower I just replaced had an nVidia 8800 card, and it probably didn't help that my new AMD is also in the thousands.

Quote:Now that's very possible. A badge hiccup is how I got those Arachnos pop up missle launchers in my Hero base, as well as a few other items I hadn't unlocked yet. Then I have no idea how I did it twice with teleporters I'd created as a member of SG-A, quit, joined SG-B, dropped porters, quit, and rejoined SG-A. Perhaps a hiccup?
In fact remembering those items, They were the things I lost when I tried switching bases. Maybe there'a a connection.

Quote:Being epic has nothing to do with it. I still want a TARDIS with a glass floor and 2 Amy Ponds for sidekicks.Every one of my toons is so epic they don't need no stinkin' transport - they can fly or leap, run faster than the eye can see, etc. Batcopters and SpiderCars and what have you are toys for lesser heroes and villains.

Quote:You're forgetting that that part of the thread was referring to all shows/movies with space ships, and not just the ships in the Stargate Universe. You're forgetting that for the most part, the ship is cloaked in high energy structural integrity/protective shields.
Whatever'd hit the ship would encounter the shields first and bounce off there (or be destroyed).
We started discussing it after Mandu said this.
Quote:Every other science fiction show that has had shuttles has had them dock inside some bay which is a waste of perfectly good space. Space which would be at a premium in a spaceship. -
Darn I thought you were going to say entertain people.

Quote:Where exactly did I say anything that implied I thought people would "scream bloody murder" if the devs added new stuff to the earlier vet rewards?I'm sure people would scream bloody murder if the Devs ever removed items from particular Vet awards but do you think anyone would really mind if they retroactively ADDED more to any of them?

What I said was that I don't see them adding to the earlier rewards unless it's something that can be added repeatedly like the free character slot we get at 12, 24, 36, 48, etc. Maybe something along the lines of a free server transfer token. -
Quote:I don't think you can do that. I'm pretty sure I tried it once and it didn't work. The stuff I wanted to use in another base was lost when the character quit the SG.Suggestion: take that character to someone else's SG that wants the upgraded generator and trade it for something (inf, salvage, recipes, spanky time, whatever floats your boat)
This is only a valid suggestion if you don't care about prestige accumulation in your member list, since leaving the SG wipes your prestige total, and it doesn't restore when re-joining. (I don't care, so I've done this before when I've accidentally made duplicates.) -
Quote:Doh! I should have realized that since the thread is about graphic cards and monitors.260, 460, 560 = Nvidia graphics cards of different generations.
1GB = 1 Gigabyte = 1,024 MB (Megabyte)
1TB = 1 Terabyte = 1,024 GB
It gets a bit confusing since as a marketing ploy hard drive manufacturers define a GB as 1,000 MB (so the capacity sounds greater) while everything else computer related defines a GB as 1,024 MB. Therefore that 750 GB hard drive actually only clocks in at 698 GB.
Yeah I'd have never guessed the TB thing. I remember GB from the sequence 256, 512, 1024 on older comps RAM.
