    Energy Armor

Just for reference it is Energy Aura not Armor .

I just created one to go with Titan Weapons to help manage the endurance. I must say I like it very much.

It compares very well to /Shield though /Shield has some advantages. Energy Aura is typed not positional defense and it has a slight Negative Energy hole and a big Psychic hole. Covering those takes some work that /shield doesn't have to do. /Shield also gets a damage bonus while /Energy gets a recharge bonus, I consider those two a wash myself. /Energy has a heal in place of shield charge that also has a endurance discount with it and /energy has Energy Drain that gives a defense bonuse (typed again and not to psychic).

Overall like I said I like it and have had a lot of fun with it and Titan Weapons. The only complaint I have is that Energy Aura has stealth but has a taunt radius (the recharge bonus) in its status protection toggle. So to stealth you must turn off status protection, which means if you get seen you can be mezzed before you get it back on. Wish they had attached the taunt to something else but oh well it works.

    IO question

What I would do is: make any other LotGs in that power level 50s, so you can get the maximum amount of defense out of it, and make the +Recharge a level 25 so it will function while exemped (this assumes you don't care about the rest of LotG's bonuses below level 47)
That is not a bad idea and similuar to that I do but one thing to note is the LotG recharge defense portion is the same as any def/? in the set. So the defense on the recharge is the same as the defense on the Def/End or Def/Rech (not the global but the regular recharge). Now you may want to make them 50 for the /End or /Rech portion but the defense portion benefits very little between 25 and 50 as noted above.

PS You can come pretty darn close to level 50 performance and keep the set bonuses (if you need them) but crafting at 25 and using enhancement boosters 5 times.

    Level 25 Def/End is 12% Def/20% End
    Level 50 Def/End is 15.94% Def/26.5% End
    Level 25 Def/End boosted 5 times is 15% Def/25% End

Note if you really, really need that little bit of defense then you can do the same with the global recharge (craft at 25 and boost 5 times). You keep the 7.5% recharge to level 22 and get very nearly the same defense buff as a level 50.
  3. I have always preferred Choke Points. I know there are toons build to solo doors which is fine but most of the time things leak through and if someone is not manning the choke points you get escapes.

However I always do what the league leader asks to the best of my abilities. When I form the league I get to do it how I want otherwise I listen to the leader.
  4. I have very few characters with it. I avoid it at all costs and only include it if I absolutly have to. None of the characters I mainly use (scrappers and blasters) have it.

It is silly easy now to build up enough global recharge on characters that adding hasten has little additional affect.
  5. From what I have seen on my server most DfB trials won't launch until they have 8. Since those who run that want XP they are unwilling to launch with less so they can max out the XP. Usually on my server you need do nothing more then got to Atlas Park and broadcast that you want on one. There is usually a big crowd running nothing but.

This for me ... although I usually still save the Emp merits and get the 30 alignment merits to buy them instead since alignment merits are easier to replace.

Guess I am hoarding them to see if anything else comes along for them
  7. I think the focus of secondary paring is for endurance management. TW eats a lot of your blue bar so most are going for secondaries that have endurance management tools.

The reason you don't see Super Reflexes more is that it has three toggles and no endurance management tools. That doesn't make it a bad choice however. I've seen some of the forums paring TW with Dark Armor, if you can make that work then anything will work.

I am with those who say play what is fun for you and fits your character concept. With IOs you can make anything work.
  8. Yes to both.

The money you have is tied to the character, enhancements in the characters enhancement tray will transfer. Anything you placed on the market or any bids you have will also stay since the market is cross server.

The only thing you lose access to is your supergroup and base if you have them. Those don't transfer so you start on the new server with no supergroup or base.

P.S. if you are the only toon on the supergroup and you transfer the supergroup and base are deleted.

    C'mon Newb!

    My moments:

Running World Wide Red on my tanker (first to 50) and popped out of a mission and get an ambush. Wow that is a big robot ... oh well I am tough. After a trip to the hospital I realized it was a GM ambush and a single tanker wasn't going to cut it.

The train, we all do it.

Asking on a global channel for a team to take down Sally. Nice response was "You do realize Sally only has 1 HP right?"

    Accuracy

This thread can probably provide your answers:

What is considered "overdoing it" in accuracy?

I would say you are probably OK dropping some accuracy for recharge. If you think your going to low fitting in the Kismet +6 To Hit can make up for it.

I can do with him in-game if needed since the one to be promoted is in another account, but then I'd need to run both accounts on two side-by-side computers - again, possible but cumbersome.

    Thanks!

Yes you must be online to be promoted.

If the two characters are on seperate accounts you should be able to do it pretty easily. You can launch two instances of COH on one computer and just alt-tab between them. Just hit the "Play Now" button on the launcher again and choose launch a new instance. Even if this slows your computer it should be fine for this. All you need to do is open the supergroup menu click the character and hit the promote button until they get to the right rank. You can then close out of one instance.
  13. The next major update should have what you are looking for. Dark Astoria will get revamped and become a solo or small group incarnate area. Rewards will not be as great as the iTrials but better then just running missions.
  14. Another option I am going with since TW takes lots of endurance is to use the Kismet +6% to hit. It is a proc so the power needs to be active but you can slide it into an early defense power or combat jumping. Not quite the to hit of Tactics or Focused Accuracy but no endurance cost either.

I have the offensive longbow side and they all spawn even level to me.

Is this consistent across all the pets or are seers different? I also notice the cooldown on the buff side is 10 mins vs 15 mins...

OK since no one else has taken a crack at this I will try.

First part, not sure. I assumed that all lore pets were equal level to you but never actually looked. If buff pets are -1 it shouldn't be a huge deal since they just buff and heal but will impact their surviability if they are not the protected version.

Part two, I think all lore pets share the same recharge of 10 minutes. However that 10 minutes doesn't start until the pets despawn I believe, so if they are out 5 minutes then you get 15 minutes from when you first activate lore pets until they can be activated again.

You say cooldown and I assumed that meant recharge but if you meant cooldown as in how long before you can switch what you slotted in lore then I think that is 5 minutes and can't be done if you are in combat.

    Momentum

    Thanks for the correction guys

To this question, enough to turn a 90 second power (the build up power > momentum) to recharge in 10 seconds or less. I won't crunch the numbers but would say it would be hard to impossible to do.

    Momentum

    What Max said.

Looks like momentum last about 10 seconds once it is on. It can't be renewed so it is basically slow > fast > fast > slow again.

The "buildup" for TW grants instant momentum so that power will be very important to TW.

Hmmm... seems like a race between agility and spiritual to me. The dif between the two being End Mod/Defense or Healing. Willpower is not regen but still relies alot on its healing powers so spiritual would benefit that. Not getting hit is better so agility's defense bump is tempting. If you go that route make sure you have lots of defensive powers to take advantage of it, if you defense is from set bonuses agility won't help you.

If you have mids you can switch between the existing alpha powers to see how agility works (Nerve for defense, Musculature for End Mod)
  19. Good question.

My personal opinion is that scrappers will have the edge. Just seems that the way momentum works and having 4 AOE attacks would give scrappers crit the edge over the brute bar.

If you could build momentum and keep it brutes would win but the slow, fast, fast, slow way this set works out doesn't seem friendly to the brute bar.
  20. Yeah, starting playing Titan Weapons and noticed that last night. Big wind up and finally get it swinging to put the big smack on the bad guy and ... I hear it but don't see it.

I can live with it because the set is fun but it would be nice to see and hear it when you smack the bad guys around.
  21. I am talking about the word momentum that shows up when momentum turns on. Right now it is red like all the other warnings that show up in the same area.

Starting playing a Titan Weapons character last night and found myself constantly caught by that. I've been trained since I started playing to pay attention to anything that shows up in red there. Usually I don't look there I just see it out of the corner of my eye and react. Now with the word momentum showing up there in red I am being trained to ignore that.

Would be nice for this to be in a blue or green or something so I catch the color and know without looking if it is just momentum turning on or a warning message I need to respond to.

    Thanks.

    P.S. Loving Titan Weapons!
  22. Short answer:

Go here (https://secure.ncsoft.com/cgi-bin/ac...pl?language=en) and click the Forgot your password? link.

    Long answer:

If that don't work they will have to contact support directly.
  23. Blasters don't have to be squishy, they can be built with quite a bit of survivability.

My main is a blaster and I have taken down Giant Monsters with help from pets, did a rikti pylon with no pets, regularly run x4 and sometimes x8.

Just defending blasters a little . Now if they are not your cup of tea then a peacebringer/warshade can work nice. On the villain side the Fortuna has a ton of ranged attacks and some nice mez powers. They have mez protection and are easy to cap defense on so while their HP is low they should be very survivable.

Some of the scrapper and brute sets have some ranged attacks, combined with a good epic you can build one that can operate from melee and range quite easily.

I am pretty sure the answer to this one is just you. I have a phantom buff pet and they usually cast their buff and heal on either me or the other phantom pet. I have not seen them buff or heal teammates or leaguemates.

Some of course have an area heal that will help teammates.
