An old SG-mate of mine who used to play is interested in getting back into CoH (after much nagging from me), but he says he's forgotten his account name and login.

Is there anything that can be done to get his account back?

he could try contacting support if he provides series codes he has used they could find his account then and make him change the password and such

only thing i can think of short of starting a new account

In short, "Yes."

Had a friend recently with the same problem, she also couldn't remember the email address the original account had been registered against.

Basically it just involved lots and lots of conversations with Support but they were very nice and eventually she got her access to her account.

Basically you'll have to talk with support on the phone probably for a long time. Essentially you need to be able to establish that A you had an account and B provide them enough information to locate the account and the match it to you. I'm guessing you'll at least have to hope that the account was registered under your name and you still have access to the billing information that it was billed under.

Yes. I just did this over the weekend for the 2 accounts we use to have. To make it fun I had to use both methods to recover the information because I got rid of one of my old email address that I used for the 2nd account.

If you think you can guess the account name and still have the email address associated with your account you can use the link Flower gave. It takes 10 minutes or so to get everything reset.

If you don't still have that email account then you have to open a trouble ticket with support. They have a list of questions they ask to verify you are the account holder. I didn't have all the information like the serial codes for the games so I had to send a couple emails with additional details. It took a few days mostly cause I was slow in sending all the information back.

Super easy.
