I just hope that 200MB patches aren't going to be a weekly thing to add new game assets that can be bought at the store. I'm getting tired be able to play only a couple of days between massive downloads.

Quote:Well, some players got bored and instead of rolling up something new spent the time pimping out their Level 50 characters with IOs and then when Incarnates dropped in I19 so they then played that content exclusively.I hear ya.
However, my initial impression of things upon returning after three years away from the game came from looking around Atlas Park with new toons, not from these forums (that came later when I tried to investigate Scrapper vs. Brute opinions).
What I observed was that "ordinary" L50s and those with "50 (+1)" seemed to outnumber the lowbies hanging out around City Hall and the Atlas statue. When I did an Info check on these toons (in the hopes of getting a clue as to what the +1 was referring to), the list of Set Bonuses was typically so long that I had to stretch the Info window to a surprisingly large size just to see it all. This wasn't an isolated incident, it was what I routinely saw every night (and weekend day) for the 2-3 weeks prior to Head Start.
I have since learned that the game is not dominated by 50s with most of the Incarnate slots filled and builds stocked fully with set IOs (purple or otherwise) after all, but one could be forgiven for getting that impression based on what I experienced those first couple of weeks.
And in between when Going Rogue came out, everyone started new characters in Preatoria and/or shifted their characters from one side to the other and back. -
Check out ParagonWiki: Issues. Read up what you've missed.
Biggest changes to powers are;
Everyone gets all the powers of the Fitness Pool at Level 2. Older characters who already took at least one Fitness power will need to respec to unlock the rest.
Travel Power pools now start at Level 4 and each now have a 5th power. Any of the first three powers can be taken at Level 4, this includes all of the primary travel powers (Fly, Super Jump, Teleport, Super Speed). The last two powers unlock at Level 14 after taken two of the first three powers in the pool.
AP and PP pools now unlock at Level 35. -
Be aware that most of the build outs are tricked out with very expensive IO sets. You should basically pay attention to when to take certain powers rather than what IOs are slotted.

It seems to be the presence of the .ncpatch file triggers that dialog, which deletes the file when it's done.

Yeah, the 7800GS would most likely be faster than the integrated 8300GS if it wasn't for the AGP issue with the old card. With only 16 streaming processors you weren't going to be doing any ultramode on that anyways. I'm pretty sure you aren't going to be happy about it's performance.
Basically just about any discrete video card that is Dx10 or better (easier to describe the hardware better by using a DirectX version) will be a worlds better than that integrated one. I would avoid the 8400GS, G 210 or GT 520 as they are the extreme low end of what is out there.
I would have given you some recommendations but it's witching hour at NewEgg and it seems that all of the mail in rebates expire Sept 30, we'll take a look again tomorrow and see what they have on the cheap. -
And since it wasn't stated anywhere, /showfps 1 will display the framerate on the right side along the top, near where the default location of the hit point bar/XP circle is. /showfps 0 shuts it off.
It is also in the keyboard settings so you can bind it to a key or two. -
Well it'll keep the deer, rabbits and other critters out of the garden, until the mama bear tears it to shreds.
Ah, the joys of rural life. -
Batman was good as always, the opening bit was a tad strange however.
YJ was excellent. "Some day we'll look back at this and laugh" I see Bat's investigated prowess has rubbed off on Robin.
I'm betting it's the steel ball thingy is the real mole since it looks like Red Tornado got hacked. He know someone was going after him way back in episode three or four. And while Artemis does have family issues, I'm sure Green Arrow knows all about them.
Generator Rex had a "well finally" moment. Nice to see a cameo from 5. And 6 takes off his glasses! Always enjoy an episode with character development.
Ben 10 was a bit better character development wise with Ben and Gwen's chat about the past and present. I think at some point we will find out that Ben's inherently lucky. Not Lucky Girl level of luck but +5 on all his saving throws when it's life and death. -
I also expected Fitch's "boss" to ask him for his TPS reports.
I love the idea of hiding at your own company as a code monkey.
"I took the liberty of booking the whole floor."
The problem is if they start saving or taking down high profile targets, it will attract more attention than a single NYPD detective. Also I believe Finch realizes that you can't save/stop everyone, which is always the biggest problem in trying to be the hero. That's why, beside budget reasons, they won't leave NYC (or Toronto).
I like the fleshing out of the machine's creation. -
A fresh install was something like 6GB during the Beta. Going from Going Rogue will likely be the 4GB since nearly every file has been changed multiple times.
Most modern motherboards chipsets no longer include an IDE controller so to have a motherboard support it a manufacturer needs to add an IDE controller chip to the motherboard. This is why you only tend to find them on high end motherboards that throw in everything and the kitchen sink.
But a 8GB thumb drive isn't that expensive if you look out for them in the Sunday circulars from BestBuy, Staples, Office Max, Office Depot as well as Wal-mart, K-mart and Target. Then you have electronic stores like Fry's.
However the best sales tend to be around August during the Back to School sales and Black Friday.
So, you don't hook your cable modem to a router so you could network the two machines together? Or a DVD burner in the old system? Even a CD-Burner would likely be faster using 6 or so CDs.
Edit: Just looked at the Staples circular. 8GB PNY USB drive for $12. -
Nice comic of 12MB or so per page was woah!
I loved your BABs looking for work picture as well. -

It's tough to say without knowing what brand and model notebook you have.
Also I can't remember when the last time I saw a notebook with the memory soldered in, other than an Apple, since they don't believe the owner should be able to even change the battery in one of their laptops, much less swapping out the memory or the hard drive. Of course on the other hand eliminating access doors and standard SODIMM and SATA connectors means Apple's notebooks can be "wafer thin". -
The times I've stumbled upon MAD on CN, I found the bits were mostly meh but that was great.

Quote:Because they couldn't decide between mechanical or organic wrist blasters so they simply went with good old fashion guns. Why do they have the Black Widow using guns? Why doesn't she have wrist blasters like she did in the comics? This disappoints me.

Well if you are forming a team and are willing to accept Freemies then you broadcasts should include a location that they would/could be familiar with so they can find and talk to you with /local.
The obvious choices are around the Atlas statue or by the steps of City Hall or what I use to do around Christmas, prop myself up on the wall adjacent to Ms Liberty so my name is above the crowd around her. Never had problems with people finding me when I was giving out Inf to low level characters. -
Or you could ignore the message as long as the game works.

Quote:Defense actually counters ToHit base value and buffs and not Accuracy. Accuracy simply scales up the resulting ToHit value after ToHit Buffs and Defence values are applied.
I doubt it's a proportional trade off of 1% accuracy for 1% defense (That'd be too simple, I'd guess), so when I have an accuracy value of 200-300% I'm probably over doing it a bit in most instances. I guess unless I want to hit +4's with some accuracy. -
I've found that if you don't have enough graphics power, it doesn't matter how much CPU power you have.
When I play on on parent's PC, 3.2GHz Athlon II X4 with an integrated HD 4200 (1K by 768 in a window, graphics slider midway), the game only uses about 25-30% of the total CPU power. And it is split across multiple cores, with two getting the bulk of it. It's just that without having enough graphics horsepower, the CPU is essentially waiting for the video side to get done.
The opposite can also be true, if you have a lot of graphics horsepower, but if your CPU isn't powerful enough to keep the graphics card "fed", your system is still not reaching it's potential. Of course that only happens with extremely low performance CPUs (single core P4 or Athlon, castrated Core II Pentium 2xxx/4xxx series, etc.). -
Since all forum avatars need to be hosted on other sites, there isn't a way for the forum software to check size and block any that are too big. They are simply asking people to behave.
It's as effective as having a bowl of candy outside your door on Halloween with a sign that says "Please take only one". -
Asterix creator Albert Uderzo quits drawing at 84
He's only been at it for 52 years.
I loved those books when I was young. -
The graphics on that Acer is the really old nVidia 6150SE integrated (nForce 430 motherboard chipset).
Not nice at all.
