If you look at the rest of NCSoft's bread and better MMOs, they are all down by a lot more than us Y2Y. Their two old faithfuls are down 16.1% and 18.6% while their latest big hit is down 27.8% as the newness wore off. So if anything we aren't standing out like a nail looking to be hammered.

There are few dual GPU cards on the market today. nVidia never had anything after the GTX 295, nothing for the 400 series but there is talk about a dual GPU card based around the GPU found in the GTX 560 Ti. The last dual GPU card from ATI/AMD is the HD 5970. The power requirements for either the old GTX 295 or the HD 5970 is quite high, in the 300 watt range for the card itself. Then there is a problem of fit, the HD 5970 is over a foot long, which can be a problem for some mid size cases and you are looking at a PC in a microATX tower case.

As for the question of "What components would I need to upgrade in order to play games like CoX on max settings and games in the future like Diablo 3?" that is a matter of debate. First it's different for 1280x1024 at 30fps than 2560x1600 at 60fps. It's also different based on AA and AF settings. Some say that right now there isn't any hardware out there that can run with all the UM settings cranked to the max without performance suffering.

As for a predicting the actual requirements for a game that hasn't been released yet, good luck with that.

Also you haven't listed what you are willing to pay for an upgrade. Considering the system you are getting is rather basic $500 store bought PC it's not clear what your budget may be.

I concur that a good quality 500 watt PSU should handle that system with a sub $300 video card. I would recommend the Antec EA-500D. It's still the "standard" size for a PSU, 80Plus Bronze, comes with a 6 and 6+2 pin PCIe power connector and is rated with 444 out of 500 watts for 12 volt power. The downside with any PSU replacement is an abundance of cables and excess length for this size case. It may be a bit of a nightmare gathering up all the excess and bundling them neatly out of play. Also there isn't any info at HP's site about PSU replacement. The mounting holes appear to be in the right locations but there looks to be an additional internal mounting latch to help keep the PSU in place (internal photos of the PC found at NewEgg).

For the GPU, since you want an AMD (you can mix CPU and GPU, it's a old wise tale about affecting performance) in the $250 price range you have the ~$230 HD 6870 and the ~$270 1GB HD 6950. If you want to think about an nVidia based card then there is the $250 GTX 560 Ti.

His mindwiping of Katie was falling back on "bad behavior". He needs to find another comic geek to find a reforming super villain character to use to explain to Katie. The thing is he doesn't want to tell Katie about Dr King because that would endanger her more and at some point his powers will crap out again without another injection.

I think he really does care for Katie but he also would like her and Steph to give him his powers permanently.

Joshua is a tragic character. It's likely he was also a prison experiment. Probably in there for murder. If it was human experimentation for the healing properties with powers as being a side effect he may have been "broken" before. As it is now he seems very quiet, very thoughtful, yes still a sociopath but forced to do so since it was mentioned that without the injections regularly his organs will shut down. So he is being blackmailed into doing King's dirty work or die.

Yea, he probably will die heroically, saving Katie.

As for the end of the episode. The "construction worker" darting everyone was used before by Ms Shapeshifter. So King is collecting all his loose ends. Earlier in the series it sounds like King has his own prison full of "volunteers". Bet that will figure into the last few episodes as well.

I'm old so I actually do think Indira Varma is sexy. By having her around it forced the writers to do something other "damsel in distress/love interest of the week". It also opened up the series to new and exotic locations in Vancouver as new and exotic locations in the world.

Ames was for the younger crowd. She wasn't in every week and when she was she was in her skivvies and oiled down, in a bikini, in a sexy dress, etc. As for her interaction with Guerrero, I think he thinks of her as a little sister. An annoying sister who keeps getting in his stuff but a sister nevertheless.

I would have preferred what was implied during the first season, that the people he had saved would be helpful like the hacker girl but having someone rich and powerful as your benefactor and they are the one with the contacts makes it a bit more believable.

As for the episode, don't try to squeeze Guerrero. And I like his half a dozen boxes of files Vs the others single thin folders.

I will guess and say it's the video card fan revving up to loud. You graphics driver may have settings to allow you to control that at the expense of the card getting hotter. You should check the temps before playing with that. Also if you recently upgraded drivers, they might have allowed the fan to rev higher.

Yes, in the REAL world. But in this TV fiction this doesn't happen. And if it did it wouldn't make the news as Flemming controls it. I don't know about you but I don't search YouTube for unreported news stories.

We had a building fall down on main street in my town last Friday due to snow and ice. It went unreported in our one state newspaper, which I don't get, or on their web site. Only mentioned on two of the four broadcast news but not during the main broadcast at 6pm before the national news, when I looked. The regional paper, which I also don't get but you can't use their web site without a subscription to the paper, did have a picture on the front page the next day but no associated story other than buildings falling down all over the state due to snow and ice. No mention about the families displaced or businesses destroyed (1st floor shops, top two floors apartments). If they didn't shut down main street and divert traffic because there was a building all over the road I wouldn't have known something happened till the next time I try to order Chinese (their gas and electric were cut in the collapse).

One aspect of the series is Orwell is the last bastion of truth in the media. Now there may be message board and comic forum whispers of a man in a cape but he's conducting a one man war against Flemming and his goons, not cleaning up the town of general riff raft. His exploits are rather targeted.

As for cell phone videos or photos, if this was the real world with the number of times he keep yanking off his hood and mask, his identity would have been known already, no need to hire trackers.

Beware with this macro if you use it while still rather high up in your SJ arc that you will take a nice chunk of damage on impact. Personally I use two macros, the SJ/CJ toggle macro and the hopping macro.

Don't know about you but when I first saw the new DirectTV ad with crime rampant in the streets including a thug trying to yank a purse away from an old lady, with buildings on fire, etc.; I thought it would make a great lead in for a CoH ad.
