I'm not a parent, but I thought it pretty cool seeing video games being shown in such a good light. Of course, it could just be that dads who spend time with their kids make their kids happy, no matter what they do.

Doesn't just apply to video games. A friends daughter grew up with us playing our RPG's and table top mini games like Warhammer and she developed one hell of a backbone and didn't take sh** off of anyone including us.

Of course the fact that we were all a bunch of foul mouthed veterans who religously gave each other a hard time while taking no lip off of any smartmouth stranger may have had a lot to do with it.

When she became a teen and started dating her idea of a fun Friday night was to bring her "boyfriends" to our weekly gaming sessions and drop him in with the sharks to see if he was good enough to get along with us. I can't guess how many losers we scared off for her.

The old "this is my dad and his brothers ..why are you running away?" treatment.

Clicking on the linked image above will take you off the City of Heroes site. However, the guides will be linked back here.

Does it help if I'm already planning my daughter's first DnD game, and she can't string more than two words together yet?

I figure 18 months is a little too early.

Appropriate to this line of thought, but definitely NSFW...

Buy her a nerf sword and let her LARP to her heart's content? Just don't be disappointed when 'hit [monster] in the face' is the some of her early involvement.

They ALL float down here. When you're down here with us, you'll float too!

We've done some flower-fencing and helped her wave a magic wand around. She also likes to play kinetic melee with Daddy.

I don't have a daughter so I asked some of my friends if I could play with theirs.

My court date is next month...

well, kinda, if you read all the way down, for boys its less effective. not detrimental, just kind of neutral. the effect seems exclusive to girls. better than neglect though.

My daughter is 5 and has had her own account for about 2 years. She has never actually gotten out of the tutorial, but she just loves running around jumping in the fountains and using the emotes. I make a lot of new characters that get deleted just so we can play together

My 8yr old daughter "Little V" has been playing for years by my side off and on...last nite she was showing some baddies the error of their ways. She also asked if the new "tic-tocs" (Clockwork) "where available to come over and work on our lawn?" "I was like no sweet girl they are busy...so you think our lawn looks bad huh?" :P

I've shared my love of superheroes with my daughter since she was born, she loves them, too.

However, down at Disney World a couple of months ago, she got to do the Jedi Training Academy at Hollywood Studios and she fought Darth Maul. She immediately went to make her own lightsaber. We already had one at home, but now with two, there's a lot of fighting between my Jedi daughter and her Sith dad.

I'm so looking forward to this. My daughter just turned 5. Can't wait for the day I get to freak the little boys out and scare em off.

I play CoX with my daughter, and the X-men arcade game (thank you PSN) it's a great bonding experience.

Willpower has more passive regen than Regen does. Who thought that was a good idea?

Can we get a fix for Energy Melee instead of more new sets?
